On Saturday, the seventh day of the 40th Fajr International Theater Festival, the City Theater complex of the Iranian capital, Tehran, was the scene of several street and stage performances.
The closing ceremony of the 40th Fajr Film Festival was held in the presence of the filmmakers contesting the competition on Friday night in Milad Tower in Tehran. The films of “Mehdi’s Position”, “The Last Snow” and “The Grassland” won the main awards of this period.
According to the Fajr Film Festival Public Relations’ Information Center, the jury of the 40th event, after reviewing 22 films, announced their nominations in various fields on the evening of February 10 and “Mehdi's Position” was nominated for most of the awards.

On the ninth day of the International Fajr Film Festival, the movies "The Town" directed by Ali Hazrati and "2888" directed by Keyvan Alimohammadi and Ali Akbar Heydari were screened at the house of the festival, but both films failed to satisfy the critics.
