Buffalos Beat Summer Heat by Bathing in Steel Lagoon

As the level of water has decreased in the Steel Lagoon near the northern Iranian city of Astara, domestic cattle and water buffalos that live beside the region’s swamps and rivers find the lake suitable for bathing.

These animals take refuge in this wetland from the overwhelming heat, sultry weather and the vermin. They graze beside the lagoon and plunge in its deeper parts to bathe and soak their bodies in the mud.
