Tourist Attractions in Iran

The historical monument of Takht-e-Jamshid, which dates back to the Achaemenid era, hosts many tourists and travelers during this year’s Nowruz holidays.

The Turkmen-majority and border county of Raz and Jargalan, which has various cultures and beautiful scenery and an ancient history, is located in Iran’s North Khorasan Province. Its capital is the city of Raz.

Mosques in Iran’s northwestern province of Ardebil, which have a history of several hundreds of years, are counted as a major tourist attraction in the region.

The Chai-Khoran Palace was a temporary retreat for Pahlavi kings and was built almost 70 years ago, during Reza Shah Pahlavi’s reign. The Chai-Khoran Palace is approximately 4,000 square meters in area, has a European-style architecture, and is located on the south of Mo’allem Square in Chalous in northern Iran. It has been registered as a national heritage site in Mazandaran Province.

The Anthropological Museum of Astan Qods Razavi is on the western wing of the Imam Reza shrine, the eight Shia Imam, in the Iranian northeastern city of Mashhad.

The Soleyman Tangeh Dam is located some 45 kilometers southwest of the city of Sari, the capital city of Mazandaran Province in northern Iran, and near a village named Afra Chal.
