On Friday (May 19), Iranians will go to ballot boxes to cast their votes in favour of their favourite candidates.

Vetted by the Guardian Council, initially six candidates qualified to compete in Iran’s 12th presidential election. They included Mostafa Aqa-Mirsalim, Mostafa Hashemitaba, Es’haq Jahangiri, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and Hassan Rouhani.
