MSF Sends Medical Aid to Help Iran’s Fight against COVID-19

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has dispatched a charter flight to Iran containing a shipment of medical aid, including a field hospital, for the fight against the coronavirus, Iran’s Embassy in Paris said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassy in Paris announced in a Twitter post that a shipment of medical aid provided by the MSF, including a field hospital, medicines, masks, coveralls for caregivers, and other equipment has left the French city of Bordeaux for Tehran by a charter flight on Sunday morning.

“In the current conditions where the world is inflamed and worried by the coronavirus, strengthening global solidarity is a necessity,” the Iranian Embassy added.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international humanitarian medical non-governmental organization of French origin, best known for its projects in the conflict zones and in the countries affected by endemic diseases.
