A Look at Iranian Newspaper Front Pages on November 15

IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Wednesday, November 15, and picked headlines from 14 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.

The top story in all newspapers today was the deadly 7.3-magnitude earthquake that struck western Iran on Sunday night and has so far claimed 435 lives and wounded over 9,000 people.

Several papers covered the remarks made by the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting with the heads of the trio branches of the Iranian government about the earthquake and the need for acceleration of efforts to help the quake-hit people.

Also a top story was the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which once again complied Iran’s compliance with its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
