Salehi sent a message to the 12th edition of Kish International Energy Exhibition, dubbed Kish ENEX 2016, and highlighted the significance of the exhibition at a time when Iran is going to enter a new era of international relations.
“It is necessary to vigorously define the country’s role and share in future of the world’s energy in this new atmosphere,” he said in the message.
A total of 195 Iranian and foreign companies have attended this year’s exposition on Kish island.
The exhibition comes days before the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a lasting nuclear deal between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).
Back in November 2015, President Hassan Rouhani said the JCPOA will open the door for Iran to enter the international nuclear market and use advanced centrifuge machines for enriching uranium.
The 159-page agreement will terminate all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Tehran over its nuclear energy program after coming into force.
