“Quick to insult Islam but hesitant to condemn racist terror at home,” Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a Saturday tweet.
The Iranian top diplomat was apparently referring to Trump’s anti-Islam remarks immediately after the ISIS attack on Barcelona, while he had for a couple of days refused to condemn the recent racist terrorism in Charlottesville, Virginia.
“Terror in name of race or religion is plain terror and represents neither,” Zarif went on to say in his Twitter message.
