Café Nanism; A Cozy Place in Tehran Run by Short People

Café Nanism; A Cozy Place in Tehran Run by Short People

Short people who used to work as promoters in other restaurants in the city now have their own restaurant despite all the problems. These people have other creative plans to develop their restaurant.

The café has begun working since a while ago in Tehran’s Beheshti Avenue. Mr Ebrahimi, the restaurant manager, holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural management and has been involved in cultural activities for more than 28 years and has worked for many years on creating jobs for those who suffer from Mulibrey nanism.

“Many of our friends have worked individually in restaurants nationwide and have mostly served as promoters for the restaurant. Unfortunately, because of the lack of understanding of the employer and the particular circumstances they face, they have endured a great deal of work and even many friends have suffered serious grievances. It always bothered me, and I thought for years that we would one day work for ourselves, and now we’ve achieved that.”

Café Nanism; A Cozy Place in Tehran Run by Short PeopleI was going to build a small complex called “Village of the Short” with our own standards and sizes to convey a message to everyone saying that we have a share in this society too, he added.

“The purpose of building this village was not to separate ourselves from the society, but to increase the self-esteem of friends like myself. Unfortunately, we failed to cover the cost of building the village and started a new business that pursues long-term goals other than profit. We’ve been very successful and looking for other plans since we’ve been able to remove the label ‘midget’.”

This café has brought together a group of friends so that they can make money with each other’s help and stand on their own feet.

His adage in restaurant management is “Do your best and God will do the rest.”

Saeed is a tall man who has been part of the café and has been working alongside his short friends for years. He explains to the Fars News Agency reporter the hardships of a restaurant with short personnel.

“Although they are wise and mature, their physical ability is just as good as a 3 to 8 years-old kid. How much do you think a child can do with his little body? I call them ‘miniature cedars’. Although many of them have raised their self-esteem and lowered their sensitivities, they still have much less physical ability than ordinary people.”

Café Nanism; A Cozy Place in Tehran Run by Short PeopleBut now, with all these problems, they have stood on their own feet to earn money for their families. They have created jobs for themselves without overburdening society. Many of these people can’t even work two hours a day because their body is about the size of a three-year-old child.

One of the interesting parts of this café is its second floor. The guests going to the second floor have to bend over and get in, as the roof is too low. These people have made this floor for themselves with their own standards, so that normal guys understand how the short have adapted themselves with all the situations they were not fit for.

Other interesting things about the café are its turquoise pool, straw masonry walls, matted ceilings, and the cushions. They sometimes resemble the old market of Tehran. They revive the memory of old Iranian furniture and lifestyle.

“These decorations are no coincidence and cultural decisions have been made for them. The ancient lifestyle and kindness of elderly people are going to be shown in short films and clips. We want to publish these clips on the internet. Our next plan is to set up one such café in every city,” says Ebrahimi.

20-Year-Old Girl Breaks Iran Clean Sheet Record

The 20-year-old goalkeeper broke the record set by Payam Niyazmand, who plays for Sepahan men’s football club.

Niyazmand had kept an extended clean sheet for 896 minutes, but Zahra Khajavi could break his record when her team, Vachan Kurdistan women’s football club, played against the Municipality of Bam on Friday.

Zahra could beat the clean sheet record in Iran, although she let in a goal in the 50th minute in the Friday’s match.

She has played for the Iranian national women’s football team for 11 years, and has been playing in the women’s pro league for six years.

Zahra began his career as a footballer when she was 9 years old.

The young and experienced goalkeeper of the national team has played for various local clubs, such as Pas Hamedan, Oshtorankooh Azna, Municipality of Bam, Rahyab Melal Sananadaj, and Vachan Kurdistan.

Iran Says Listens to Peaceful Protesters ‘with Open Ears’

In an interview with France 24 released on Wednesday, Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei underlined the need for making a distinction between people legitimately protesting over “issues related to livelihood and the economy” and terrorists and saboteurs.

“We have to be able to separate those who were protesting for their livelihood — they have to be honored, we must listen to their concerns and see what their problems are — and those who committed terrorist acts and sabotage,” he said.

The official also stressed that during last month’s unrest, security forces took action against “disturbances.”

Iran “has always listened with open ears to peaceful protesters; the authorities must respond to the people’s rightful demands,” he said. “But naturally, when there are disturbances — vandalism, attacks against government centers and the destruction of people’s property — it is the duty of security forces and police to take action, and naturally during these operations…incidents can happen.”
Kadkhodaei further noted that the analysis of the events in Iran from abroad “is not always the correct.”

He further defended the nationwide internet shutdown during the riots and said, “If there’s a road or a freeway and terrorists come and do something, what’s the first thing you will do to the freeway? You will shut it down.”

In mid-November, the Iranian government raised gasoline prices in order to moderate the national consumption rate.

The move prompted protests in a number of cities that went largely peaceful, but turned violent when armed riotous elements took advantage of the situation to vandalize public and state property, and attack civilians and security forces alike.

Many of the rioters were found to have links to the notorious US-backed Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) terror group, royalists and separatists besides members of organized groups trained towards staging acts of sabotage.

So far, no official death toll from the violence has been released.

In a statement on Friday, Mousavi offered condolences to the Kazakh nation and government over the tragic incident, sympathized with the survivors, and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

At least 15 people died after the plane carrying 93 passengers and five crew members crashed shortly after takeoff near the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan on Friday morning.

Almaty aviation authorities said the plane “lost altitude after takeoff and broke through a concrete fence,” before colliding with a two-story building at approximately 7:22 a.m., local time.

Flight Z2100, a Fokker 100 aircraft operated by Kazakhstan-based carrier Bek Air, was scheduled to fly from Almaty, the country’s largest city, to the capital Nur-Sultan.

Kazakh state media, citing the Almaty public healthcare department, said at least 15 people had been killed in the crash, and 50 people, including at least six children, had been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment with various degrees of injuries.

The flight was carrying 93 passengers and 5 crew, according to preliminary data, the airport authority said, correcting an earlier statement that said 95 passengers and 5 crew were on board.

8 Effective Tips to Enhance Your Charisma

In simpler terms, charisma is the ability to gain tremendous influence over people’s actions and emotions positively. However, not everybody acquires charisma naturally. You might be the most intelligent person in the room, but you utterly lack it.

However, like any other habit, obtaining the right information and undertaking persistent practice will enhance charisma. Even if you describe yourself as a shy and highly sensitive introvert, it is still possible to improve your charm and charisma. Below are some surefire tips on how to enhance your fascination and become more influential.

Have the Right Mindset

Whatever is happening within the brain will manifest itself through the body. People can always sense whether or not you have charisma, as well as your general emotion at a particular instance.  For this reason, build confidence from the mind. Adopting a confidence mindset will enable you to let go of any social inhibitions that might be holding you back.

Appropriate Body Language

You need to adopt the right body posture when you are in social situations to enhance charisma. Sit upright and avoid looking downwards. Do not lean on your hands or support your head with them. Sitting with your arms crossed and feet together could be a sign that you are tensed up. Relax your body, and take up more space. The correct posture is sure to enhance your confidence levels.

Know When to Use Physical Contact

Though commonly overlooked, physical contact can tremendously enhance charisma. However, you need to do it at the right time. For instance, when someone is crying or sad, you can lightly place your hand over their shoulders, etc. Touching somebody inappropriately can either lead to a hostile reaction, or you might creep out the person.

Read the Non-Verbal Cues

You need to be able to read people’s general mood and adjust your behavior accordingly. Expose yourself to different social situations and learn from people’s reactions to your behavior. It will tremendously help you in calibrating your social skills.

Similarly, a student who intends to boost his/her essay writing skills needs to undertake practice in composing different types of essays constantly. Moreover, you can hire a professional essay writing service that can provide quality tips and advice on composing such papers. Essay templates and examples are also useful.

Know When to Use Humor

Even though humor is a great way to enhance charisma quickly, it should be used correctly to improve it. You can periodically infuse humor into your conversation to keep people interested. But you should be careful not to joke about a sensitive issue, or crack a joke in a serious situation.

Ask Questions

The only way to know more about another person is to ask them about themselves. However, do not let the conversation become a Q&A session. Questions should be asked periodically in the course of the conversation. What’s more, do not get very personal too soon. Begin by asking general questions before delving deeper.

Be a Good Listener

Another way to enhance charisma is to listen actively when talking to people. It gives them a feeling that what they are saying is important. As such, they are likely to be more open with you. But if you seem uninterested or distracted, you might turn them off.

Memorize Names

Whenever you memorize somebody’s name, it makes them feel significant. Try always to take note of people’s names and mention them during subsequent interactions. This tactic fosters further understanding, which in turn leads to friendship, thus enhancing charisma.

Reduce the Use of Fillers

You might be probably wondering, “What are fillers?” These are words such as “umm,” “ooh,” etc. In most cases, they are used whenever somebody has no idea of what to say or is not sure of what they are saying. Fillers generally signal that you have a low level of confidence.

The Final Word

We hope that the above-mentioned tips can help you bolster your self-esteem and enhance your charisma. They will help you become more aware of you interact with employees, colleagues, and customers and thus strengthen your relationship with them and the impression you leave behind.

Iran, Russia, China Start Joint Marine Drills

The drills, attended by both the Iranian Army’s Navy and the IRGC Navy, have been codenamed “Marine Security Belt”.

Iranian navy official announces the beginning of a rare four-day military drill with Russia and China on Dec. 27, 2019

The beginning of the drills was announced by Rear Admiral Gholam-Reza Tahani in a press conference along the coasts of Chabahar port city, south-east of Iran.

At a news conference on Wednesday, senior Spokesman for Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said the joint exercises will last until Monday.

Referring to the importance of the maneuver, he said the Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman are key areas for the world trade, and many countries navigate through this region, so providing its security is of crucial significance.

He said the exchange of security experience between Tehran, Moscow and Beijing and counter-terrorism and piracy as well as countering terrorism and piracy are among the other goals of the drill.

Shekarchi further noted that the security achievements of this exercise will be for all countries of the world and it will lead to more stability.

The Iranian general also said that the other goal of the exercise is to gain and exchange experience in the field of marine rescue operations, which will be carried out since the launch of the exercise.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Robertson said on Thursday the United States is monitoring the joint drills.

“We are aware of the multilateral exercise being conducted between Iran, China, and Russia in the Arabian Sea”, Robertson said.

“We are monitoring it and will continue to work with our partners and allies to ensure freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in international waterways”.

The event is the first such cooperation with Iran since the 1979 victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

It comes amid US efforts to woo countries into a maritime coalition for patrols in the Persian Gulf, which have received lukewarm welcome from its allies.

Iran Building 11 Rubber Dams

Iran Building 11 Rubber Dams

“The rubber dam is the same as green dam, namely a dam which is entirely fruitful, benefits the people and the environment, and is widely applicable with low costs and trivial  damages,” Ardakanian said on the sidelines of inauguration of Galesh Kolam dam, the fourth rubber dam in Iran’s northern province of Gilan.

The minister also noted that the new rubber dam protects coastal areas from tidal flooding, prevents salt water intrusion into fresh water, creates employment, provides water for the irrigation of 2,500 hectares of nearby farmland, and would be also used for fish and shrimp farming.

He also expressed hope that all 11 rubber dams under construction would become operational soon, so that the necessary water resources for protecting natural vegetation in the northern provinces would be supplied within a reasonable period of time.

A considerable amount of water is being wasted in the Gilan Province due to lack of suitable reservoirs, the minister added, saying the water demands of the region are satisfied from the resources in distant areas.
