Isfahan opens Polish children photo exhibition

The Iranian city of Isfahan has opened a photo exhibition featuring Polish refugee children who came to the city during the Second World War.

Poland’s top diplomat Zbigniew Rau attended the opening ceremony on Monday.

He said the exhibition tells the story of an odyssey of 120,000 Poles who came to Iran during World War II.

The Polish top diplomat said “The story is well known both in Iran and in the heart of Poland and another thing that remains well in the memories is the generous help of the Iranians who saved the lives of thousands of Poles.”
