Footsteps of Spring Heard in Western Iran

People in Kanduleh village in Kermanshah province, Western Iran, annually attend a traditional ceremony called “Sound of Spring’s Footstep” ahead of the Persian New Year or Nowruz.

The ritual, which is held by the villagers of Kanduleh, includes mass prayers for rain, Kurdish dance, and the sale and exhibition of various types of handicrafts.
