US in No Position to Sympathize with Iranians: Rouhani

“Those in other countries who wronged Iranian people each and every day; they are the ones who, in the recent developments, disturbed the atmosphere, disturbed the region, disturbed security,” Rouhani told a cabinet session on Wednesday.

“Our people won’t allow them to use the language of sympathy towards the Iranian nation. They [Americans] are the ones who have murdered hundreds of patients in Iran, have prevented the import of medicines and medical equipment, are responsible for millions of sufferings in Iran, have put the people under economic pressure, are responsible for massacring our children during the eight-year war,” he added.

“We have not forgotten, Mr. Uncle Sam, that it was your AWACS which reported all of our flights to Saddam’s regime! You were responsible for these crimes during the war with Iraq. We won’t forget that it was you who encouraged Saddam in Ta’if to invade Iran. No one will forget it.”

“You are responsible for our people’s blood. You are the murderer. Not just the murderer of one person, but the murderer of hundreds of thousands of people who defended their country. All the disabled, all the wounded, you are responsible for what happened to them. And then you come and sympathize with our people? It is far from credible to them,” he noted.

Rouhani further noted that “insecurity in the region is not in anyone’s favour.”

“Insecurity in this sensitive and important region is to the detriment of the wold. … Insecurity is to the detriment of Europe, Asia, and the US itself. It is to the detriment of everyone. Why have you brought insecurity to this region? Why have you imposed sanctions on our nation? Why do you bully people? Why do you bombard Yemeni people? Why do you interfere in Iraq? Why do you plunder the Syrian oil? Why do you interfere in Lebanon? Why do you interfere in Libya? You are interfering in the entire region,” he asked.

“You have brought insecurity everywhere. This insecurity is unbearable. In an insecure atmosphere any incident may come about. In an atmosphere of social turbulence any incident may take place. Why have you brought insecurity to our society? Why have you brought insecurity to the region?” he added.

“The way to compensate the incidents is through the integrity and resistance of all the nations in the region, including the Iranian nation, against the real criminals. Dear people! Faced with maximum pressure we need maximum integration; we need maximum friendship; we need maximum brotherhood.”

UK Ambassador Leaves Iran after Controversies: Report

UK Ambassador Leaves Iran after Controversies Report

Iranian media reported on Wednesday that Macaire has left the country with prior notification. However, the UK Foreign Office later said the ambassador will return to Iran after consultations in London.

Earlier, Prosecutor General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri had urged the Iranian government to expel the British Ambassador “as soon as possible,” describing the envoy as “a law-breaking person.”

Montazeri said in a speech on Tuesday that “the disgraceful presence shows that such illegal events and rallies are organized by foreign elements, whether they are American or British.”

The remarks were part of the criticisms that came after Macaire attended a gathering on Sunday, which was initially aimed at commemorating those killed in the Ukrainian plane crash, but then turned into a protest rally. The UK ambassador claims he left the gathering once the people started chanting slogans, but a video released by the Iranian police proves him wrong.

Iran Releases Video of UK Envoy Attending Illegal Protests in Tehran

The ambassador was briefly arrested for attending the illegal rallies, but was released 15 minutes later, after the Foreign Ministry recognized his identity.

“The presence of an ambassador in an illegal gathering of a bunch of norm-breakers is by no means acceptable to us and the action is prosecutable… In our view it is also internationally prosecutable that an ambassador attends an illegal rally without permission and then comes up with the excuse that he had intended to express sympathy with those killed in the plane crash. This is an unacceptable lie,” said the Prosecutor-General.

Only Trump, ISIS Celebrated Gen. Soleimani’s Death: Zarif

Only Trump, ISIS Celebrated Gen. Soleimani’s Death Zarif

Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue Forum in New Delhi, India, Zarif described the late Iranian commander as the single most effective force against the ISIS terrorist group

“Soleimani was the single most effective force against Daesh (ISIS). Who are celebrating death of Soleimani? Not ordinary people, but Trump, Pompeo, and Daesh,” he said.

“When they assassinated a revered general [Qassem Soleimani] in Iraq, violating Iraqi sovereignty, they thought, as Secretary Pompeo tweeted, that people would be dancing in the streets of Tehran and Baghdad. Actually he picked up a small gathering of a few and tweeted that we rid the region of whatever he wanted to call him, and then people are dancing.”

“That showed two things which are very dangerous and when combined become even more dangerous: ignorance and arrogance. And when you become an arrogant ignorant or an ignorant arrogant, it becomes a disaster particularly if you have a lot of power,” he said.

“Now you’ve seen the reaction not just in Iran – I was surprised to hear that 430 Indian cities, 430 Indian cities, there were spontaneous demonstrations and meetings to commemorate General Soleimani, the Americans’ ‘terrorist’,” Zarif noted.

“Now the United States talks about proxies. Do we have proxies in India? Are the proxies we have in Iraq numbering the millions (because millions came to the streets of Iraq to commemorate him)?”

“[…] you certainly cannot bring people, eight thousand people in Delhi, nine thousand people in Mumbai, you cannot bring them out by any proxy measure.”

The Iranian top diplomat said “the United States needs to think again about our region. They are making a mistake. They are adding one mistake to the other.”

Newly-Developed Dressing Accelerates Wound Treatment

Newly-Developed Dressing Accelerates Wound Treatment

One way to heal wounds is by using dressing. Today, various dressings with special features are used for different wounds. In some cases, these high-tech bandages are not manufactured in any country, but on the other hand, some of these bandages are very expensive, so it is not possible to buy these dressings for any disease.

Now an Iranian knowledge-based company has managed to produce dressings called “Tebaderm Matrix Collagen Mattress Dressing”, which resemble human skin to a great extent, and accelerate the wound treatment.

For a brief review of Iran’s achievements in various fields of science and technology, check the book “Science and Technology in Iran: A Brief Review – 2019

Mahmoud Qafqazi, CEO of the company, said the advanced bandage with a resemblance to the human skin accelerates wound treatment by the biopolymers used in its structure such as collagen.

“The use of biodegradable and biocompatible natural polymers similar to the extracellular matrix through stimulation of wound healing is a major step in repairing damaged tissues,” he continued.

According to this scientist, the particular formulation of the bandage offers benefits beyond a hydrogel dressing. For example, it can stimulate protein production in the extracellular matrix and accelerate epithelialisation. It can also facilitate autolytic debridement, wound exudates management, and increase veil-formation in tissue.

Qafqazi says moisturizing the surface of the wound and antimicrobial effects are among other benefits of the dressing.

Regarding the price of this product he said it is about one-twentieth of the American sample and is similar in quality to that of the American and European samples.

He said many hospitals and prestigious medical centres are already using it in the country.

Qafqazi added the dressing is used in diabetic wounds, bed wounds, first and second degree burns, venous and vascular wounds, surgical and traumatic wounds, acute and chronic wounds as well as all kinds of scratches and cuts.

Iranian, German Diplomats Hold Talks in India

Iranian, German Diplomats Hold Talks in India

Niels Annen and Foreign Minister Zarif held talks at a meeting on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue conference in New Delhi on Tuesday evening.

The senior Iranian and German diplomats discussed the latest developments surrounding the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the regional conditions, particularly the situation in Afghanistan.

In the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister criticized the Europeans’ failure to honor their JCPOA commitments, and slammed their move to trigger the dispute resolution mechanism as baseless in legal terms and a strategic mistake in political terms.

Annen, for his part, stressed that Germany attaches significance to the relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding, “Our stance is defending and supporting the JCPOA, and the spirit of the letter from the three European minsters is not destruction of the JCPOA.”

E3’s Move to Trigger JCPOA Dispute Mechanism Nothing New: Iran

Iran Vows Appropriate Response to US Interception of Mahan Air Flight

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said, “At first, it is necessary to explain that the measure by the three European countries is deemed to be a totally passive action taken from the position of weakness. The process of settlement of disputes over the JCPOA has been triggered by the Islamic Republic of Iran since more than a year ago with the formal letters that our country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs has sent to the JCPOA Joint Commission’s coordinator. Thus, nothing new has happened, be it in terms of the processes or in operational terms.”

“The truth is that following the announcement of the US’ illegal withdrawal from the JCPOA and the re-imposition of that country’s (US’) sanctions, which should have been lifted under the JCPOA, the JCPOA fell into a state of imbalance and instability. As a result, the Islamic Republic of Iran started the process of settlement of disputes in accordance with the Article 36 of the JCPOA and referred the case to the JCPOA Joint Commission, and at the meetings of the commission that were held to consider Iran’s request -either at the level of political directors or at the level of ministers- all parties to the JCPOA emphasized unanimously that the US’ illegal withdrawal from the JCPOA is the main reason for the current complicated situation, and the commission passed a series of solutions to address the situation. But, unfortunately, the European parties to the JCPOA failed to take a tangible and serious measure to honour their commitments during one year, despite their JCPOA commitments and also the undertakings they had given explicitly and officially at the Joint Commission meetings after the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, and accordingly, our country employed the regulations expected in the Articles 26 and 36 of the JCPOA, and halted the implementation of part of its nuclear commitments in five steps and with remarkable intervals,” he added.

“In fact, the European parties are announcing the beginning of process of settlement of disputes and activation of Article 36 of the JCPOA while the article has been referred to by the Islamic Republic of Iran long ago, and no new situation will be created. However, should the Europeans –who have claimed in the statement that they have taken such measure with goodwill and with the purpose of saving the JCPOA- keep to the path of submissiveness to the US or intend to abuse the process of settlement of disputes in the JCPOA Joint Commission instead of trying to honor their commitments and making Iran benefit from the effects of removal of the sanctions in accordance with the Annex II of the JCPOA, they will have to prepare themselves to accept its consequences as well, about which they have been already reminded via appropriate channels,” the spokesman added.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is fully prepared, as in the past, to respond to any goodwill and constructive efforts to save such major international agreement with utmost goodwill, and to support any constructive initiative in this path. In return, it (Iran) once again makes it clear for everyone, particularly for the three European parties to the JCPOA, that it will respond to any infringement, ill will and unconstructive measures seriously, decisively and in an appropriate manner,” Mousavi concluded.

It will be most comfortable for you if go in the spring but any season is manageable. We’ve combined a list of 5 places you should definitely visit on your first trip to Iran, and we’ll tell you everything you need to know about these spots.

Visit Persepolis

This is a historic metropolis that you’ve probably heard about. According to historians it was built around 500 BCE. the main attraction of Persepolis is the vast palace complex that was built on an artificial terrace. Only remnants of the once-great city remain, after Alexander the Great destroyed Persepolis in 330 BCE as a part of his revenge for the destruction of Athens. The city burned down during the Greco-Persian Wars. The entire complex is a UNESCO world heritage site, along with the necropolis – a burial ground that is located 12 kilometers from Persepolis. The ancient ground is called Naqsh-e Rustam and is famous for its remarkable reliefs. One of the mysteries of Naqsh-e Rustam is the twelve-metre tower, the purpose of which is still unknown. It could’ve had a religious meaning behind it but no one is sure. So if you’re planning on visiting Iran you should absolutely take the opportunity to visit Persepolis.

Admire Nasir al-Mulk

Often nicknames as the Pink Mosque this historic site has one of the most beautiful interior windows in the world. While the name Pink Mosque comes from the abundance of pink roses that grow in Iran’s Shiraz, as well as the pink mosaic tile, resembling the sunrise and the sunset, Nasir Al Mulk is famous for its stained glass windows that are decorated with various motifs. For the best experience, you should probably arrive early in the morning just so you can be there for the sunrise where the stained glass is at its most beautiful with the light shining through. The beautiful gardens surrounded by high walls are fully dependent on artificial irrigation since the conditions are harsh for most of the plants. This tradition dates back centuries and gardens like these are often seen as the symbol of Paradise, against the deserts and huge temperature fluctuations.

After spending the entire day visiting touristy spots, most of the travelers are looking for a place to rest. Some prefer relaxing in restaurants, and some would rather read a book after a long day or watch a movie, while others like to play online casino games. Since Iran is a Muslim country, any sort of gambling is illegal here, and it’s very unlikely that authorities will allow even a small casino to function in the country. In addition to that there aren’t any licensed online casinos within the country. But the online companies that are located outside of the Iranian border can be accessed by the locals and tourists and the visitors from Iran can play online casino games.

This palace served as the official residence of Persian Emperors of the Safavid dynasty. This Palace is also a part of the UNESCO world heritage sites due to its cultural and historical importance. The palace is 48 meters high and has six floors. The famous Music Hall is located on the sixth floor and you will be able to find rare circular niches and overall is regarded as the best example of Safavid architecture and an homage to Iran’s Islamic heritage. The name of Ali Qapu comes from Persian and Azerbaijani words meaning imperial gate. The name was given to this place as it was located at the entrance to the Safavid palaces. So don’t forget to add the Ali Qapu to your list of must-visit places in Iran.
