Iranian president: History will never forget US crimes in Vietnam

Iran President Ebrahim Raisi and Vietnam’s Ambassador to Tehran

Raisi said Iranians regard the Vietnamese as a nation who stood up against colonialism and bullying and their views are similar to the Iranian people’s in this regard.

The president pointed to friendly ties between Iran and Vietnam and said the current level of ties between Tehran and Hanoi is not commensurate with the diverse possibilities of the two countries.

Raisi noted that regularly holding joint economic commission meetings can help realize the possibilities of Iran and Vietnam in the fields of agriculture, technology and transportation.

The Vietnamese envoy also described Iranians as peace-loving and cultured people, saying Iran has made many achievements despite years of sanctions and pressures.

He also thanked Iran’s active foreign policy and noted that Vietnam has always had food ties with Iran and is still working to boost relations with Tehran, especially trade and economic ties.

Iranian president slams US, European trio’s IAEA resolution as “irresponsible”

Iran President Ebrahim Raisi and Switzerland’s Ambassador to Tehran

Raisi also said the drafting of the resolution at a time while talks between Tehran and the other sides were underway was a violation of the spirit of negotiations and the agreement and an indication of contradictory behavior on the part of Washington and the three European countries, Germany, France and Britain.

He was speaking at a meeting with Switzerland’s new ambassador to Tehran who presented her credentials to the Iranian president.

President Raisi referred to Switzerland’s diplomatic role as protector of the US’s interests in Iran, saying Washington and the European trio are making a miscalculation about Iran.

He expressed hope that the Swiss envoy will convey the reality about Iran to her own government and to other countries as well so they realize that Iran is pressing ahead on the path toward development despite enmities.

President Raisi said the bullying policies of the US and the European governments have been counterproductive, saying they must abide by the rule of engagement and agreement.

The new Swiss ambassador for her part said Iran and Switzerland have had diplomatic relations for over a century and their interactions and cooperation have always been positive and constructive.

She added that as Switzerland’s new envoy to Tehran, her responsibility is to expand ties between the two countries.

Covid deaths and infectious on the rise in Iran

COVID in Iran

The daily caseload also shot up. The health ministry said it had logged 1,007 new cases from Sunday to Monday.

Earlier, officials and experts warned of a new wave of the Coronavirus in Iran if people ease health protocols and refuse to get their booster shots of Covid vaccine.

They say it’s highly likely the deaths become double-digit soon.

The surge in the Covid deaths and new cases comes as Iran registered no deaths several days and the number of new daily infections were low.

Iran has recently lifted the mandatory requirements for wearing masks in open areas, a move that was not welcome by many experts.

Expert: Chances for revival of Iran nuclear deal fading

Iran US Flags

Sina Azodi, a lecturer of International Affairs at George Washington University, in talks to Iran’s ILNA news agency painted a grim picture of the path ahead to restore the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The Qatari capital Doha hosted two days of negotiations late last month after several rounds of inconclusive talks in Vienna last year among the remaining parties to the agreement.

Azodi said the talks hit an impasse because both sides raised the same demands without showing flexibility.

He also called on Tehran and Washington to hold direct talks, instead of relaying their messages through the European side.

Meanwhile, the political analyst said as the US congressional elections are approaching, any change in the combination of the Congress could make the current situation more complicated.

He also noted that the US President Joe Biden might try to forge an anti-alliance in his upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia and Israeli-occupied territories and advised Iran to adopt a more active policy to counter any threats.

Azodi welcomed Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian’s remarks that Tehran is open to rapprochement with Riyadh and Cairo and said removing tensions would benefit the entire region.

Azerbaijan Security Forces

Security forces detained 516 people while dispersing the protesters last Friday but have now released many of them, the national guard press office told a briefing.

He also declared a month-long state of emergency in the northwestern province.

According to official reports, demonstrators marched through the provincial capital of Nukus last Friday and then tried to seize local government buildings.

Sultanbek Ziyayev, the head of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, told news website Daryo.uz that hospitals in Nukus were full of patients who had been wounded when protesters clashed with security forces.

“Thousands of wounded have been hospitalised and are being treated,” he added.

It was the second outbreak of unrest in the central Asian country this year after earlier mass protests in January were crushed.

Iran tourism: Attractions in Nour County

Nour County in Iran's Mazandaran

Nour county is among Iran’s favorite tourist destinations. Most of northern Iranian cities enjoy special popularity among Iranian and foreign tourists and are usually crowded during holidays.

Proximity to the Caspian Sea (Wikipedia), dreamy rainy weathers, dense forests and other natural attractions are among the reasons why these cities are very popular among the people.

Nour Mazandaran

History of Nour County

Nour sits in the western part of the province. History says the city was formerly named “Rostam Dar” and once served as the capital of the Romans. Nour’s modern name stems from a river of the same name which flows from the Alborz mountain range and pours into Haraz River.

Natural attractions

In Nour, you can see both the central parts of the Alborz mountain range and wetlands, two factors that give the region a mild and favorable climate.

Here, we’ll present a number of natural attractions, including waterfalls, forests and lakes, that you should not miss during your visit to the region:

Lavij

Ab Pari Waterfall

Ab Pari Waterfall is one of the most spectacular attractions located five kilometers away from the city of Nour and near the city of Royan.

The scenic spot has not been a waterfall by nature, but it has become one due to landslides, water flows, and the falling of mountain rocks.

Ab Pari Waterfall

Nour Forest

The forest park, an area of 3,600 hectares, is considered one of the largest of its kind in the entire Middle East and is one of the major such parks in Iran.

The beautiful intertwined trees of the forest have created unique landscapes that make good scenes for nature photography. Spring and summer are the best seasons for visiting the region and going on camping trips there.

Nour Forest

Kashpol Forest Park

Kashpol Forest Park is one of the tourist attractions around the city of Noor, located 5 kilometers from the Nour-Chamestan road. The vegetation of park, an area of about 7200 hectares, is comprised of alders, oaks, maples, myrtles and Persian ironwood.

In ancient times, there were pellet furnaces in the region, which justifies the presence of iron ore in its rivers and has turned it into one of the most special sights of Nour.

You’d better choose autumn and spring for visiting this beautiful forest so that you won’t miss the details.

Haram Ow Waterfall

The dreamy waterfall is located on the road from Chamestan to Lavij and Nour City. It is one of the most beautiful and pristine attractions of this region.

Local villagers believe that the water flowing from the waterfall has healing powers. You can even see the villagers collecting water from the site if you visit the region.

The name given to the waterfall (which means ‘holy water’ in the local dialect) is rooted in the same belief that the waters are blessed with healing effect.

To reach Haram Ow Waterfall, take the road from Nour to Ab Pari. You will get there after passing by Ab Pari Waterfall.

Haram Ow Waterfall

Vanoosh Waterfall

The waterfall is located in the south of Vanoosh village in the heart of the green heights of Gholvi Kala. It is located 10 kilometers west of Nour, next to a sidetrack of the Nowshahr-Nour coastal road.

More questions about Nour:

1. When is the best season for visiting Nour?

Northern Iran is beautiful in all seasons. In winter, it has a cooler climate than in spring and summer. The level of humidity is, however, less than that in summer.

If you want to enjoy the rains or you are interested in traveling to the nature under the rain but you don’t like hot and humid weather, winter and autumn can be a good choice. Otherwise, we suggest spring.

2. What entertainment does the city offer besides natural and historical attractions?

The Dasht-e Nour entertainment complex is one of Mazandaran’s largest recreation facilities, which has been built in three phases, including villas and cottages.

The third phase, however, includes unique entertainment facilities, including coffee shops, restaurants and sports complexes such as football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and mini-golf fields, etc.

There are also indoor and outdoor swimming pools for tourists in the complex.
