How To Stand Out in Your Online Tutoring Business

Online tutoring has gathered the attention of many people recently, as education has suddenly faced the challenge of providing quality education against the many obstacles of today. These obstacles, however, have placed online tutoring under the scope and this might be just the opportunity to think about making a profit out of becoming a tutor and/or setting up your tutoring business.

We’ll dive into a few things to consider when enrolling and researching into the online tutoring business to start making a great living out of it. As tutoring platforms compete in terms of attracting tutors and users that will pay for their services, thinking that tutoring will be a complex task might be something of the past. To get things into motion, we´ll discuss four different perspectives about online tutoring and how to make this type of business a feasible option.

The Biggest Hurdle is Getting Started

This type of business may be an equivalent to many freelance platforms out there, with the difference that it focuses on one specific profession. The enrolling process might be as easy as singing up to a social media platform, but it might differ on the next step which is ensuring the quality of the student experience. Some platforms are more difficult to enroll than others, but keep in mind that when it comes to education, degrees will matter, but are not always necessary.

In platforms such as TutorMe you´ll have to meet the quality expectations. As it is a platform which offers users a guaranteed high-quality help from their tutors, then the entry process might not be as easy as expected, however being accepted on this platform ensures that tutors will earn $15 per hour and they are very precise about their sessions. If you believe to have a competitive resume, then this is the platform for you.

Exceptional Services Required

We talked about how the biggest obstacles could be getting accepted, but once you’re in, the next step might be more or less complex which is establishing a strong network with students. Think of online tutoring as not only a business to make a profit, but also as a way of proving to others that your services are exceptional. Most platforms offer their users a money back guarantee if they were unsatisfied with their tutoring experience, then how well you handle your first couple of students will likely define your future in the platform just as your earnings.

One platform with a pool of highly qualified tutors is Studypool. In the last few years this platform has shifted to enhance and prioritize the student and tutoring experience to ensure they will have the proper individuals suitable as tutors for a specific subject (or subjects). It might be challenging at first, however this is done to ensure students are 100% satisfied with their tutoring experience which in the long run will bring more students on the platforms for tutors to work with. The site provides tutors with the opportunity to successfully answer questions through a video tutoring session within the student’s established time frame. Earnings can go as high as $7,500 monthly to a couple of hundred dollars a month depending on how well you perform.

Make The Most from Very Little

When thinking about tutoring, some individuals may picture the traditional one to one hour or more sessions with a skilled professional. However, this concept has taken the next steps in evolution as you might find platforms that allow you to focus your effort in one thing and then make a profit out of it. We are talking about the concept of course-tutoring, this is done by creating a lesson-course and expecting students to enroll and after being tutored on the subject of their need, their reviews from it will increase your reputation and allow the opportunity of increasing the value of your lesson-courses.

Platforms such as Chegg, Udemy and Khan Academy focus on this type of tutoring. This concept might go beyond what we have understood about tutoring and opens up a new possibility of a stable income. If you have earned a high-qualified degree and you consider yourself very knowledgeable on a certain area of expertise, then we strongly recommend creating a course on Coursera. This platform also enables you to work together with other high-qualified professionals so besides earning a great monetary reward, you will also begin your journey into building a great network of professionals. Earnings reported for creating a course go on an average of $45,000 yearly.

Prove Your Skills To Others

We talked about how tutoring platforms have upped their game, perhaps it is highly relevant to mention that they might have even taken the next steps into education without noticing it! We are referring, however, to the tools being facilitated in the tutoring platforms. While most tutors are guided on how to use them, these tools enable tutors to get the most out of their preparation and teaching skills while earning a competitive salary.

In terms of offering advanced tools for tutoring, platforms like Wyzant have an advanced whiteboard system which enables a very profound and creative tutoring session. The idea of this tool is to potentialize tutoring skills and to guarantee its users that they will receive the help needed from all their available tutors. Reports have been that a tutor could earn $70 an hour per successful tutoring session.

In conclusion, we hope these four perspectives could give you a better understanding of the online tutoring business. Some of the greatest obstacles identified include the enrollment process or being efficient. However, as we showed up before, this might not be the case for all platforms out there. If you have the right preparations, skills, and degrees then this business might not break a sweat at all.

Remember, there might be other views that we might have not considered and which may result in a more feasible experience. Also, we encourage the reader to take in consideration today’s challenges and how this type of business might create a great opportunity which could favor  you from it.

Tehran Expounds on Death of Iranian National in Switzerland

Tehran Expounds on Death of Iranian National in Switzerland

Asked by reporters about the death of Iranian national Behnam Bahrami Taghanaki in Switzerland, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Thursday, “According to the information we have received, the deceased had gone to the consular department of the Iranian Embassy in Switzerland in December 2018, declared that he had left Iran in 2015 and then applied for asylum in Switzerland and that he had lost his passport on his way to that country in the Turkish and Greek waters. He had applied for a new passport, which was issued and delivered to him.”

“The Swiss Police sent a letter to Iran’s Embassy in Bern in December 2019, said they have found the body of the deceased in his private dwelling, cited suicide as the initial cause of his death, and emphasized that the body of the deceased had been taken to the Geneva forensic medicine,” he added.

“Immediately after receiving the Police report, the Iranian Embassy in Switzerland and the ambassador himself pursued various methods to contact the family of the deceased and ask about their decision on transferring the body to Iran. A letter from the father of the deceased giving his approval to the body of his son being buried in Geneva was sent to the Iranian Embassy in Switzerland via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ office in the holy city of Mashhad on December 18, 2019. Accordingly, the deceased was interred in Switzerland in cooperation with the Geneva Islamic Centre and in conformity with the Islamic affairs,” Mousavi explained.

The spokesman finally noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassy in Switzerland is still in contact with the relevant Swiss authorities to receive the official report from the forensic medicine office about the cause of Mr. Bahrami’s death.

Rouhani Urges Iranians to Once Again Voice Full Support for Palestinians

Rouhani Urges Iranians to Once Again Voice Full Support for Palestinians

In a message on Thursday, President Hassan Rouhani underlined that Quds will be liberated from the Israeli regime’s occupation.

The full text of the president’s message follows:

The ceremony held in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian nation on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan each year is a virtuous tradition called Quds Day, which is a symbol of resistance, unity and rapport among Muslims in safeguarding Islamic ideals.

Inspired by the ideals of the Revolution, and in compliance with the late Imam [Khomeini]’s insistence on the need to back oppressed nations around the world, especially the defenseless Palestinian nation, you brave and wise Iranian nation have always been at the forefront and a source of awakening moves on this momentous day, and as long as the hearts of you ever-on-the-scene Iranian people are connected to the sea of Islamic and revolutionary teachings, the fight against oppressors and defending the oppressed will continue because this fervour and willpower have its roots in the unique and inspiring Ashura school of thought.

Although it is not possible to hold International Quds Day rallies this year due to the current circumstances where health protocols need to be observed and people’s health should be protected [due to the coronavirus outbreak], what is important and gives meaning to the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Quds and strikes terror into the hearts of the usurpers of Muslims’ first Qibla (Quds) is the spiritual presence and strength of will [of individuals] that have set their eyes on the liberation of holy Quds and have no doubt that divine triumph shall [prevail and] bring about the liberation of occupied territories.

While commemorating this great and momentous day, I pay tribute to this rapport and solidarity, and urge unity among people from all walks of life on this important day, especially in this current sensitive juncture when world hegemony is seeking to disappoint the nation and create obstacles to the realization of our national and Islamic ideals by imposing a series of sanctions and making inhumane threats and launching an economic war. I once again stress the unchangeable principle of “Quds, the capital of Palestine.” Incontrovertibly, final victory belongs to those who struggle and show patience.

Virus of US Sanctions Failed to Halt Iran’s Development: Rouhani

Virus of US Sanctions Failed to Halt Iran's Development: Rouhani

The Iranian nation may rest assured that the Islamic Republic will not allow a grin on the face of the arrogant rulers at the White House, President Rouhani said in remarks at a Thursday ceremony, held to inaugurate several development and energy projects in the southern provinces.

“We’ll do something that they (US leaders) would remain in grief and sorrow in their wrong political approach forever,” the president added.

President Rouhani emphasized that the “severe and unprecedented sanctions and pressures” have failed to impede the Iranian nation’s progress.

“The US cannot bring our nation to its knees, the evidence of which are these projects that we are implementing in year 1399 (2020) after two years and a couple of months of tough sanctions,” he added.

Although the coronavirus and the “American virus” of sanctions have created problems for Iran, none of them can halt the country’s progress and production, President Rouhani underlined, noting, “We will keep production and will do our utmost to achieve the goal that the Supreme Leader has set for a surge in production this year.”

In the ceremony, the president inaugurated two major water management projects in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, including a running water project by the Energy Ministry and an irrigation project by the Ministry of Agriculture.

President Rouhani also inaugurated a project on the development of South Pars gas field’s Phase 11 and installation of offshore platforms for gas extraction in the new phase.

US Sanctions on Iranian Officials Show Its Desperation: Tehran

Spokesman Condemns US Envoy’s Comments on Military Action against Iran

In a statement on Thursday, Mousavi condemned the new sanctions, and said the US regime’s addiction to imposition of sanctions is indicative of the country’s unlawful and arbitrary behaviours against the integrity of the international law and order.

“The US regime targets the legal bodies and officials of independent governments with its hostile policies,” Mousavi noted.

“The futile, repetitive, and blind sanctions imposed by the US regime against the interior minister, the commander of the Law Enforcement, and other officials of our country indicate the weakness, desperation, and confusion of the US regime,” the spokesman noted.

He said the new sanctions have been imposed based on Washington’s usual delusions, under the influence of ill-informed advisors, and in reaction to the regime’s failures vis-à-vis the strong resolve of the Iranian nation and government.

“The recent sanction is considered another blatant violation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the US government’s commitments under the international law,” Mousavi said, urging the international community to hold the US accountable for such blatant violations.

“By imposing and implementing such sanctions, the United States has ignored deep-rooted internationally-accepted decency and conventions, and has directly targeted individuals and bodies who are closely intertwined with the order and security of the Iranian nation, and the security of the region in a broader sense,” he concluded.

Mousavi’s comments came after the United States imposed sanctions on eight Iranian officials, including Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.

The US treasury announced the sanctions Wednesday amid the Trump administration’s anti-Iran campaign.

Iran’s Law Enforcement Force Commander Hossein Ashtari is among the seven others sanctioned.

The measure was said to be aimed at holding “accountable Iranian officials and institutions” over the November 2019 unrest in Iran.

Iranian Mothers Can Now Pass Nationality to Children

Iranian Mothers Can Now Pass Nationality to Children

Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei said Wednesday the cabinet has approved the regulations for allowing children of Iranian mothers and foreign fathers to obtain Iranian citizenship.

Rabiei said the children who have reached the age of 18, even if their mother dies or gets divorce, can enjoy the benefits of this law and obtain Iranian citizenship.

Many believe the law could improve the lives of thousands of children, including those with Iranian mothers married to undocumented immigrants.

In May 2019, Iran’s Parliament adopted the reform to the law, but it went back and forth from the Guardian Council to determine whether it is in accordance with Iran’s Constitution and Islamic law.

Iran’s Guardian Council finally approved the legislation in October 2019.

Iran to Give Firm Response to Disruption of Shipment to Venezuela

No Obstacle to Development of Strategic Arms in Iran: DM

Brigadier General Amir Hatami said the Americans and others know Iran will certainly not hesitate to respond in this regard.

“Disrupting the navigation of tankers is against international rules and security, and international organisations are sensitive to the rules and safety of waterways,” he said in a weekly cabinet session.

Hatami said this is a kind of piracy and Iran’s policy is very clear. Tehran has announced very clearly that it will not tolerate any provocation.

Five Iranian tankers likely carrying gasoline are now sailing toward Venezuela, amid the tensions between the two sanctioned nations and the United States.

Washington has called for the cessation of shipments between the two sanctioned countries.

Tehran and Caracas have had strong ties for years, in part due to their hostile approach towards the United States. Both countries help each other maintain trade in the face of US sanctions.

Iran to Resume Trade with Arab States in Compliance with Health Protocols

Iran to Resume Trade with Arab States in Compliance with Health Protocols

The Islamic Republic’s Health Minister Saeid Namaki said Iran is interested in expanding trade relations with these countries, and has announced readiness to provide technical support in the field of disease management to Yemen, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.

Speaking in a televised speech on Wednesday, he said in separate phone conversations he and his Arab counterparts have talked about various issues regarding the spread of the coronavirus in these countries and exchanged views on how to deal with these problems.

“I also thanked the friendly country of Qatar, for its cooperation in providing some equipment, especially masks, during this period,” added Namaki.
