He made those remarks during a visit to the science and technology park of Khorasan Razavi Province.

He said the designation of the Persian year 1401 by Iran’s leader as Production, Knowledge-based and Job-creation is not merely a motto and is in fact an agenda for all state organizations and institutions. The president added that today, production is the key need of the country and many problems can be resolved by supporting production.

The president said the country must take the next strides firmly, adding he is very hopeful about the future.

IRGC warns Iran’s enemies against “any miscalculation”

The IRGC said the slightest miscalculation by the rogue adversaries with be met with decisive and destructive responses wherever they are.

The statement said the devastating responses of Iran will leave the foes no opportunity to express regret over what they did.

The IRGC issued the statement on the occasion of April 1, the anniversary of a referendum in 1979 in which over 98 percent of Iranians voted for the Islamic Republic of Iran as their ruling system.

It added that if a nation seeks to safeguard its dignity, independence and security, it should have a powerful deterrence force, saying Iran has now reached a level of military clout that no power dares to threaten the nation.

The IRGC noted that the missile power and regional influence of Iran are red lines for the Islamic Republic and the country will never ever compromise these two components of its clout according to the wishes of the White House and its evil allies.

The statement noted that the IRGC will press ahead with its plan without heeding the nonsense remarks of the terrorist regime of the United States which is incapable of understanding the changes in the power equations of the strategic region of West Asia and beyond.

The IRGC added that it is standing alongside other armed forces of the Islamic republic of Iran to safeguard the national interests of country and the lofty achievements of the Islamic Revolution and the sacred Islamic establishment.

“We are not looking to the foreigners. We opt for relations with all (countries). But we will never wait for others to come and resolve our problems. Experience has shown and we have learned from our predecessors that we should by no means trust foreign countries.

They have not resolved anyone’s problems nor will they do ours. We rely on our own assets and capacities”, Raisi noted.

The president said economic indices are positive and his administration aims to achieve an 8 percent economic growth rate this year.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and key regional issues.

Russia says parties to JCPOA likely to find solution soon

Vienna-talks

“I think it will still take some days, maybe weeks, before everything is in place, but Russia did its best to ensure the positive outcome of this – in a very open manner, without any hidden agendas,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated in an interview with RT TV channel.

The diplomat resolutely rejected accusations that Russia allegedly “tried at the very last moment in these negotiations to introduce new demands or new requirements. That was not the case. We made it really clear that our only interest was to protect our legitimate and multifaceted interaction with Iranian counterparts”.

Negotiations have been held in Vienna since last April to restore the JCPOA, an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program that was nixed by former US president Donald Trump.

However, Washington has imposed several sanctions against Iran since the talks began, in what has been perceived in Tehran as s demonstration of bad faith.

Tehran says Washington’s indecisiveness is to blame for the protraction of the talks, as a number of key issues remain unresolved, ranging from the removal of all post-JCPOA sanctions to the provision of guarantees by the American side that it will not leave the deal again.

Natural gas, Sulphur production projects launched in eastern Iran

The Shourijeh natural storage facility is being constructed at the city’s Shahid Hashemi Nejad natural gas complex.
The second phase of the project doubles the facility’s storage capacity to some 40 million cubic meters a day.

As part of the project, for which ground was broken at Raisi’s presence, 28 oil wells will be drilled and two dehumidification units will be constructed.

The project, which is expected to be completed in three years with an investment of 611 million euros, is aimed at ensuring energy security in the cold seasons of the year and helping the natural gas grid stability in eastern Iran.

Natural gas, Sulphur production projects launched in eastern Iran

The Sulphur production units have been financed by the private sector. One of them is a production plant for Pastil Sulphur and Sulphur Bentonite with a capacity of 72,000 tons a year.

The plant has been the work of knowledge-based companies. It indigenizes the Sulphur production process.

A second project, is a production plant for granular Sulphur with an annual capacity of 150,00 tons.

During their opening ceremony, President Raisi hailed the work of the knowledge-based companies, which has managed to prevent exports of raw Sulphur from Iran.

The president also vowed to support knowledge-based companies to help generate wealth from raw material inside the country.

Three Palestinians killed by Israel troops in WB

Palestinian sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the latest attack took place on Thursday morning, when the troops raided the camp to arrest a number of the local residents.

The sources added that Israeli forces surrounded several houses, and called on those inside the buildings to surrender and leave their homes and into the street.

It was when clashes broke out between Palestinian gunmen and Israeli forces. Plumes of thick black smoke filled the sky above the camp as residents burned tires.

The incident comes as three separate operations by Palestinians in the span of eight days have killed 11 Israeli settlers, in a surge not witnessed in years, and which may continue.

On Tuesday night, a Palestinian man, identified as Diaa Hamarsheh, killed five people, including a policeman, before being shot dead by police in the ultra-orthodox town of Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv.

On Sunday, two Palestinian gunmen killed two Israeli forces and wounded four others in a shooting operation in the northern Israeli city of Hadera before they were shot dead.

It followed an attack on March 22, when a Palestinian man was fatally shot over an alleged stabbing attack near a shopping center in Beersheba, in the south of the Israeli-occupied territories, which left four Israeli settlers dead.

The string of operations by Palestinians has left many Israeli settlers in fear of further tensions, while others, especially on the far-right, have called for a strong reaction from the Tel Aviv regime.

Incitement and attacks against Palestinian communities have escalated as well.

Shortly after the attack on Tuesday, scores of Israelis gathered at the scene, where they could be heard chanting anti-Palestinian slogans, including “Death to Arabs.”

Israeli settlers launched several attacks on Palestinians and their property on Tuesday.

Additionally, Palestinian resistance groups have said in a joint statement that the Palestinian nation is united in confronting the Israeli regime’s occupation, its illegal settlements expansion activities as well as racial discrimination policies.

The factions stressed that Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and elsewhere in the occupied territories are unanimous in arriving at a national consensus closing divisions and achieving political unity.

“The Palestinian nation will never capitulate to the Israeli regime, and will continue the struggle until the end of the occupation,” they added.

The resistance groups also lambasted the recent meeting between foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco – three Arab countries that normalized relations with Israel in 2020 – and Israeli official in the occupied region of Negev.

“They are vying with each other to meet Israeli occupation authorities than to assume their historical and national responsibilities vis-à-vis the Palestinian nation, the occupied city of al-Quds and its sacred sites, and take effective measures to seriously stop the ongoing violations,” the factions pointed out.

Iran says concerned over Daesh recruitment in Afghanistan and spread of terror

Iran says concerned over Daesh recruitment in Afghanistan and spread of terror

In an address to the third conference of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbors in China, Hossein Amir Abdollahian also said Daesh is training its operatives and seeks to further expand toward the northern areas of Afghanistan, which is of great concern.

The Iranian foreign minister expressed hope a ‘calm Afghanistan’ will be established in Iran’s vicinity.

“Neighboring countries should play an important role in establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan because peace and stability in Afghanistan, just like insecurity, can have a direct impact on its neighbors,” said Amir Abdollahian in the meeting which also brought together delegates from the Taliban, Indonesia and Qatar.

“In the previous meeting, the Islamic Republic of Iran put forward two clear proposals. First, that we should reinforce mechanisms required to help promote security in Afghanistan, and that a clear security mechanism should be devised within the framework of the existing organizations or as an independent body to coordinate policies to fight terrorism and to exchange experience and information to contribute security both in Afghanistan and in the whole region,” he explained.

“Our second proposal is that a regional mechanism as well as a financial fund should be established to help Afghan people, one which would contribute to Afghanistan’s reconstruction and development,” the minister said.

“Our lingering concern is the threat of terrorism spreading from within Afghanistan, the expansion of Daesh and its recruitment inside Afghanistan as well as in some regional countries along with moves that Daesh makes to train its operatives and further expand toward the northern areas of Afghanistan,” he added.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is concerned over and increasing number of Afghan refugees. Over the past seven months, around one million Afghan women, children and men entered Iran, and now the number of Afghan refugees who are our guests has risen to around 5 million. There is grave concern in this regard, especially at a time when international organizations pay little attention to refugees in countries neighboring Afghanistan,” he said.

The foreign minister also touched upon the necessity of women playing a role in Afghanistan.
“To us, women’s role in Afghanistan is very important. Islam is a progressive religion and that of mercy, which believes women have every right to be present in different areas. It is necessary to once again stress the importance of women’s role in the Muslim Afghan community,” he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the top diplomat referred to the issue of unfreezing Afghanistan’s assets and the United States’ claim of contributing to Afghanistan’s reconstruction.

“It is important to unfreeze Afghan people’s assets outside the country in order to serve them. The United States’ occupation of Afghanistan 20 years ago, and now its confiscation of Afghanistan’s assets, are inappropriate moves. The US occupied Afghanistan for 20 years, but failed to build even a small room as a clinic for Afghan people. But today, the Americans speak of reconstructing Afghanistan. If they were really interested in helping, we wouldn’t be witnessing the deplorable humanitarian situation in Afghanistan,” he said.

“All the pledges we make today are related to an important issue. Afghanistan needs the establishment of an all-inclusive government represented by all groups. The formation of a government guarantees stability, security, progress and welfare in Afghanistan. We have not come together today to decide for the Afghan people; rather, we are here to help all Afghan people have a bright and prosperous future full of welfare,” he said.
