Iran denies involvement in alleged attack plot in Greece

Iran’s Embassy in Greece has strongly denied a claim by the Zionist regime that Tel Aviv helped Athens foil a terror plot hatched by Tehran.

In a tweet, the Iranian Embassy described the report about the alleged plot as a story clumsily fabricated by Zionist regime with the aim of misleading the public opinion and covering up the internal developments in Israel.

Greek authorities say they arrested two men described as being of Pakistani origin. Without naming them, Greece said the men were planning an attack on a Jewish restaurant.

The attack was said to be imminent and to be intended to cause extensive loss of life.
