A top Iranian nuclear negotiator has expressed confidence about the results of the ongoing negotiations between Tehran and six world powers over the country’s nuclear energy program.
Iran and the six world nations – known as the P5+1 – are determined to start drafting a comprehensive deal in Vienna talks, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi was quoted as saying on Sunday by Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister said prolonged negotiations between Tehran and the Group 5+1 would serve the interests of those foreigners who have voiced opposition to the Geneva deal and seek tension in the region.
Senior Iranian Foreign Ministry officials said on Saturday Tehran remains insistent on its pick for the post of Ambassador to the United Nations and will resort to legal means to counter the US refusal to issue visa for Hamid Aboutalebi.
