Khatibzadeh rejects US Iran report as baseless, biased and meddlesome

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh

Khatibzadeh said releasing repetitive and unfounded reports will not give them legitimacy.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman added that it’s clear that no one can expect the US government which is addicted to lying, to tell the truth and existing realities.

Khatibzadeh added, “Therefore, the biased, politically-charged and meddlesome nature of the report is clear and obvious to all and to the Iranian nation.”

He said that the US government’s history is filled with wars, coups, aggression, assassinations, kidnappings, economic blockades, and killings of innocents in different parts of the world.

Khatibzadeh added that the US government is the main violator of human rights and, therefore, is in no position to speak about lofty concepts such as human rights.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that the US sheds crocodile tears for the Iranian people at a time when its own crimes against Iranians including shooting down of a passenger plane, provocation of its internal lackeys to assassinate people and officials over the past decades and all-out efforts to deprive the noble people of Iran of their basic rights remain in the memory of Iranians.

He noted that the US’s unilateral coercive measures including illegal economic sanctions are a clear example of economic terrorism against the Iranian people and are the main obstacle to the import of vital medicine for Iranian patients, that have themselves led to a gross violation of the rights of the Iranian people.

He described the claims of the US regime as hypocritical and aimed at achieving illegitimate political goals.

Khatibzadeh underlined that the direct order by the then US president to cowardly assassinate General Qassem Soleimani who was the champion of the fight against terrorism in the Western Asian region, perfectly reveals the terrorist nature of the United States.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that the US government is turning a blind eye to the gross and systematic violations of human rights in the country and in its vassal allies.

He also said all people have repeatedly seen how racial discrimination against minorities and African Americans are happening in the US systemically and on a large scale, which in itself has led to mass protests by black people and other citizens in the country.

Khatibzadeh further noted that unbridled police brutality and the murder of black citizens before the eyes of people reveal the anti-human rights approaches of the US government and, more regrettably, the US’s response to such rights abuses have been merely show actions, indifference and inattention

IRGC vows to continue to support anyone who fights Israel

Brigadier General Esmaeil Ghaani

Brigadier General Esmaeil Ghaani said Iran is the forerunner of the fight against the “world arrogance” and “international Zionism”.

He touched on Palestinians’ resistance against the regime and the recent operations in Tel Aviv and other cities that left several Israelis dead, questioning the regime’s claim to take on Iran while it cannot stem such acts of resistance.

“The youth who are fighting the Zionist regime in Palestine today and carry out such operations are the hidden assets inside Palestine … who have thrown the regime’s entire system into disarray,” he said.

He added that Iran will take action against the regime wherever necessary warning its officials that any move against Iran’s interests will be given a proper response.

“Wherever there is a harmful move, we will definitely give a serious response where and when we see fit. They are weaker than being able to challenge the Islamic system [in Iran],” he said.

“The faltering Zionist regime gets closer to its end with the passage of time. Even the pseudo-government they have is on the verge of collapse and, God-willing, the annihilation of the regime will speed up with the resistance of the sons of the Islamic Revolution and the resistance.”

Iran Covid: 33 more deaths, vaccination underway

COVID in Iran

The deaths push to 140,744 the total number of the people killed by the disease.

The health Ministry figures also put the daily Covid caseload at 2,194 including 351 hospitalizations.

A comparison between the number of deaths and infections these past days and the daily tallies of several weeks ago show Iran is witnessing a downward trend in Covid fatalities and cases.

Back then, hundreds of people died while thousands of infections were logged daily.

Authorities attribute the downward trend to a nationwide vaccination campaign that has seen over 148 million doses of Covid vaccine administered to people across Iran.

Over the past 24 hours alone, 129,237 shots were given to people.

The number of triple-vaxxed people is inching closer to the 27 million mark. Authorities are urging all Iranians who have received their second shots to get their booster, the third shot, as well.

They say this will considerably reduce the chances of a resurgence of Covid which is now in marked retreat in Iran

President Raisi says Iran favors strong, united Iraq

Iran President Ebrahim Raisi Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein

The president referred to religious, historical and cultural commonalities of the two countries, saying the relationship between Tehran and Baghdad is beyond conventional ties between two neighbors. Raisi added that Iran is determined to strengthen these brotherly ties with Iraq as much as possible.

The Iranian president said the security and interests of Iran and Iraq are intertwined and the enemies can never harm the bonds between Tehran and Baghdad.

He reaffirmed Iran’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Iraq and said unity among Iraqi ethnic and religious groups will help maintain stability in the country.

Raisi however noted that Iran will never allow any regional country’s territory to be used as a launching pad for threatening the Islamic Republic’s security.

He said Iran expects the federal government in Baghdad and also the Kurdistan region’s government to not let their territories to be used by enemies to hatch plots against Iran.

Raisi then echoed remarks by the Iraqi Kurdistan region officials admitting that were it not for Iran’s anti-terror icon General Qassem Soleimani, there would be no Kurdistan region now.

He then lamented what he called negligence on the part of the Kurdistan region. He said no one can hide cooperation with the Zionist regime and that Iran is keeping close tabs on everybody in the region.

During the meeting, the Iraqi foreign minister also underlined his country’s resolve to boost the level of cooperation with Iran in different fields.

He promised that Iraq will never turn into a launch pad for threatening Iran and that it’s ready to expand security cooperation with Tehran

Israeli forces kill four Palestinians in WB

Israeli forces kill Palestinian in WB

According to the Palestinian Authority’s Health Ministry, 14-year-old Qusai Hamamrah was fatally shot during a swoop by the forces on the village of Husan near the city of Bethlehem in southern West Bank on Wednesday night.

The Israeli military alleged that the victim had thrown a petrol bomb at the forces, who “used live ammunition in order to stop the immediate threat.”

The troops then prevented the teenager from receiving emergency medical aid, prompting his death from the multiple gunshots that he had received.

The ministry also said a 20-year-old Palestinian youth, named as Omar Alyan, had also been fatally shot by the forces near the city of Ramallah in the Silwad village.

The ministry added the second victim died during clashes that erupted after Israeli forces carried out an arrest raid in the area. At least six other Palestinians were also injured during the raid.

The regime has stepped up its deadly aggression across the Palestinian territories since the start of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, triggering Palestinians to ramp up their resistance operations in response.

On Thursday, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that “two youths died of injuries sustained in an Israeli attack in the Jenin district” earlier in the day.

The raid marked the sixth day of an Israeli “counterterrorism operation” in the occupied West Bank, which has mainly targeted Jenin.

One of the Palestinians killed was identified as Shas Kamamji, the brother of Ayham Kamamji, one of the prisoners who managed to escape the highly-fortified Gilboa prison in September. The other was identified as Mustafa Abu-Arub, who was shot dead at the western entrance of Jenin. He was a resident of Misilyah village, south of Jenin.

According to Palestine’s official Wafa news agency, a large number of Israeli forces barged their way into al-Yamun and Kafr Dan towns, west and northwest of the city, triggering violent confrontations in which six other Palestinians were also wounded, one of them critically.

Israeli forces also arrested four Palestinians, including three brothers of Kamamji, after storming their houses in Kafr Dan and another from al-Yamun.

Most recently, a shooting operation killed at least three people and injured eight others in the heart of Tel Aviv. The attack was conducted when a Palestinian youth, identified as Ra’ad Fathi Hazem, entered a pub on a crowded main street in the city and began firing his weapon.

The 28-year-old, a resident of the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, was killed by Israeli forces in a pre-dawn firefight near a mosque on the first Friday of Ramadan.

Various Palestinian resistance groups and the Lebanese resistance movement of Hezbollah have hailed the incident as a “heroic operation.”

He expressed hope that the two countries will work to upgrade their cooperation to the level, “favorable” to both nations.

The Pakistani parliament elected Shehbaz Sharif as the 23rd prime minister of the country.
He is the head of the Muslim League Nawaz and was elected as the joint candidate of the party and Pakistan’s Democratic Movement, after the MPs ousted Imran Khan as premier.
