A Look at Iranian Newspaper Front Pages on August 8

IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Tuesday, August 8, and picked headlines from 19 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.

The top story in today’s newspapers was the huge car deal signed between Iran and the French auto manufacturer Renault. Based on the deal, which is the biggest in Iran’s history, Renault will become the third giant carmaker in Iran after Iran Khodro and SAIPA.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s list of ministerial nominees also received great coverage. Rouhani was expected to submit the list to the Parliament on Tuesday morning.

The National Journalists’ Day was also a top story, widely covered by Iranian newspapers today.
