Coronavirus Patients Not Charged for Treatment in Iran

Iran’s health minister says COVID-19 patients must not be charged for their treatment, and all of them must be treated for free.

In a letter fo chancellors of medical universities and schools across the nation, Saeid Namaki said the directive was approved by the National Coronavirus Headquarters.

He further noted that medical expenses for individuals who are not insured, are indigent or are foreign nationals must be met through the finances envisaged in the national health system overhaul plan.
