A Look at Iranian Newspaper Front Pages on August 7

IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, and picked headlines from 16 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.

The remarks made by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in his live interview with the state TV on Monday night were the top story in all newspapers today.

Several papers also covered the comments made by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif about the impact of the US’ sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

The European Union’s statement against the first batch of US’ sanctions on Iran and its move to update its “Blocking Statute” to counter the bans also received great coverage.
