First female Iranian FIFA physician to take part in Qatar World Cup

Dr. Zohreh Haratian has been picked as the coordinator for medical affairs for the 2022 Qatar World Cup as the first Iranian physician to take part in the international tournament.

Dr. Haratian has worked with the international governing body of football, FIFA, and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for over a decade.

Iran has announced plans, including a visa waiver agreement, to assist neighboring Qatar in hosting the event scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022.

Iran was the first Asian team to qualify for the world cup after defeating Iraq at Tehran’s Azadi stadium in January.
