The video shows some IRGC boats surrounding the vessel and a helicopter with IRGC forces in it discussing how to seize the tanker.
This video was released moments after the IRGC spokesman Brigadier-General Ramezan Sharif said the UK’s oil tanker has been escorted by a British small warship when seized.
He added that UK’s Royal Navy small warship intervened and flied two choppers attempting to disrupt IRGC Marine Rangers’ mission.
The IRGC’s Public Relations Department said in a statement on Friday that the vessel named “Stena Impero” had been impounded “at the request of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Organization when passing through the Strait of Hormuz, for failing to respect international maritime rules.”
