Iran FM Zarif to Visit Pakistan Thursday

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi says the country’s top diplomat is to visit Pakistan Thursday.

“Iran’s Foreign Minister will depart for Islamabad on Thursday to hold meetings with Pakistan’s new government officials and discuss expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two neighbouring countries,” Qassemi said.

“In the two-day trip, our foreign minister will hold meetings with high-ranking officials including Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he noted in a Wednesday statement.

Holding meetings with speakers of Pakistan’s national parliament and the senate, foreign minister, army chief, and economy minister are among other plans of the foreign minister in Islamabad,” he said.
