Iran FM Holds Talks with Ghanaian, Zimbabwean Officials

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held separate meetings with his Zimbabwean counterpart and Ghanaian vice-president in Tehran.

During their Friday meeting, Zarif and Zimbabwe’s FM Simbarashe Simbanenduku Mumbengegwi discussed bilateral and regional issues.

Holding Tehran-Harare joint commission, fight against terrorism, and some other topics were top on the agenda of the two officials’ talks.

Zarif also met Ghana’s Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia, who is in Tehran to attend President Hassan Rouhani’s inauguration on Saturday.

In the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on the ways to expand bilateral relations, especially in the fields of industry, energy, banking and agriculture.
