Former Dutch PM Meets FM Zarif in Tehran

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Wim Kok, the former Dutch Prime Minister and current Minister of State, have discussed issues of mutual interest in a meeting in Tehran.

During the Saturday meeting, the Dutch official said he was pleased to be in Tehran to attend President Hassan Rouhani’s swearing-in ceremony.

He noted that Iran and the Netherlands can forge closer cooperation in different areas, including agriculture, water management, and other economic areas.

He described the Iran nuclear deal as a progressive and important move toward closer cooperation.

Zarif, for his part, underlined the importance of boosting cooperation in different political and economic areas, particularly the banking domain.
