Rouhani Urges Full Implementation of Deals between Iran, Slovenia

Iran’s president has called for full implementation of Tehran-Ljubljana agreements to help further develop their already improving relations.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has stressed the need for complete implementation of the agreements already signed between Tehran and Ljubljana, saying the move will help further foster the relations between Iran and Slovenia.

Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with the new Slovenian ambassador to Tehran, Kristina Radej, on Tuesday (June 20).

The Iranian president said the visit by Slovenian President Borut Pahor to Iran, in November 2016, led to positive changes in the two states’ bilateral ties.

He added at present, Iran and Slovenia have great potentials for expanding their bilateral relations which need to be exploited and fulfilled by their officials.

Relations between Iran and Slovenia have always been positive, Rouhani said, voicing optimism that the two countries would expand relations and cooperation in the fields of trade, culture, policy and economy in the future.

He expressed the hope that during the new Slovenian ambassador’s mission in Iran, the two sides would witness such positive developments as the growth of relations between their nations and expansion of cooperation between their governments.

For her part, Radej said there is no obstacle to the strengthening of relations and fostering collaboration between the two countries.

She vowed to do her best to boost ties between the two states and implement the agreements and contracts they have already signed.
