Javak-Kari; Traditional Art of Cutting Wood

Javak-kari is the delicate art of cutting and shredding wood, which dates back to the eighth century CE and has its origins in Iran’s Shiraz.

Javak-kari was mostly abandoned after the arrival of Khatam-kari – the Persian technique of wood inlaying; however, the art has been revived since 25 years ago.
