Formerly known as the edifice of Foruq-ol-Molk Ghavami, the museum building dates back to 1931, the early years of Pahlavi dynasty in Iran.

The private residence that belonged to Ms. Ghavami was built in Sang-e Siah (black stone) neighborhood of Shiraz, and includes guardhouse, cookhouse, stable, bathroom, and two dwellings –Fadak guesthouse and the house of Foruq-ol-Molk.

Special sections have been created inside the rooms of the house to exhibit the works of art from three generations of Meshkinfam family. The museum includes various sections exhibiting different types of artistic works categorized according to the art techniques and the date of creation, involving works of bas-relief, calligraphy, painting, photography and visual arts.

Seventeen years after its inauguration, Meshkinfam Art Museum has earned a reputation for displaying a treasure of Iranian visual arts.

Iran to Open Digital Economy Park

Iran to Open Digital Economy Park

The agreement to build the park was signed by Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi on Monday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Sattari said the agreement will set the stage for the development of the biome of digital businesses.

“With the establishment of the digital economy park on the 30-hectar grounds of the Pardis Technology Park, the groundwork will be laid for knowledge-based businesses and startups in the domain of digital economy, information technology and communications to develop and make progress besides other technological fields which develop in the biome of Pardis,” he said.

He added total sales by companies in this biome amounted to more than Rls. 110 trillion last year, and soon the grounds of Pardis will be expanded to 1,000 hectares and it will turn into a technology town,” he added.

He said knowledge-based firms and startups based in this park achieve new accomplishments on a regular basis.

The communications and information technology minister, in turn, said the establishment of the digital economy park is part of cooperation between his ministry and the Science and Technology Department of the Presidential Office.

He said a jump in domestic production, as the Leader has emphasized, in order to give fresh impetus to economic growth would be a response to sanctions.

Tehran Metro to Get Suicide-Prevention Glass Walls

Tehran Metro to Get Suicide-Prevention Glass Walls

Commander of the Tehran Metro Police said studies have been carried out to construct platform glass walls in 35 subway stations, noting that infrastructure of the project is being developed.

In an interview with Tasnim, Colonel Saeed Ataollahi said Police officers are on duty in all metro stations, and there are also central Police offices in 13 stations.

Police are ensuring security at all subways stations round the clock, the commander noted, pointing to special plans to prevent suicides.

“Police have prevented suicide attempts in a considerable number of cases. Maybe someone decides to commit suicide suddenly because of mental and psychological problems, but we have trained the Police forces what to do in that occasion,” Ataollahi noted.

The security forces would not let the person who has attempted suicide leave the place, but take care of the distressed person and call his or her family for post-traumatic health care service, the colonel added.

He said the Police have informed the Tehran Metro of the need to erect glass walls, noting that such suicide barriers are going to be erected in 35 stations despite the heavy construction costs.

There are at least 125 subway stations across Tehran, with 300 kilometers of railroad running under the metropolis. More than one million people ride the subway in capital every day.

The first suicide in the subway system of Tehran occurred in 2005, when an 18-year-old girl succumbed to injuries after a suicide bid.

The subway stations of Tehran have seen dozens of suicide attempts afterwards, many of which have been unsuccessful due to the timely presence of the security forces on the platform.

Construction of floor to ceiling glass barriers will stop passengers falling or being pushed on the line.

Apart from increasing safety, the glass barriers cut the blast of rushing air caused by trains hurtling into stations, improve heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and also prevent litter building up on tracks.

Screen doors are widely used on transport systems around the world.

Iran Has a Bitcoin Strategy to Beat Trump’s Maximum Pressure

The government and people have significantly used Bitcoin for evading legal barriers. Keeping all this in view, the cryptocurrency industry has proved to be more active than those who imposed the sanctions.

The Iranian government had an interest in using cryptocurrency for their international trade other than the traditional system followed by the banks. For this sake, President Hassan Rouhani’s administration, in July 2008, declared its plans of launching a national cryptocurrency.

A month later, to that declaration, multiple features were outlined for the national cryptocurrency. It was also disclosed that the cryptocurrency would be backed by Iran’s original currency ‘Rial’. Many other features were also revealed when the digital payments conference took place by the central bank last year.

Iranian public is already excited to use cryptocurrency, which has gained a lot of popularity among them. In the interview, some people even mentioned that Bitcoin is the only way to receive or send money out of Iran. Meanwhile, crypto mining has also become famous and significant there. People are making money by crypto mining, and bitcoin miners are increasing in number day by day. As the cheap electricity was abused in August 2019, recognized mining will be considered as a legal sector in Iran’s economy, a regulation issued by the cabinet clarified it.

Note: As the people of Iran have made a lot of money by cryptocurrency mining, you can also go through pepperstone review or roboforex review to learn about this industry and take advantage during this pandemic. Bitcoin is beneficial for international trades and earning money.

Iran has been attracting other countries’ interest in collaborations through blockchain platforms. However, it will be wrong to stay that Iran’s initiative is or ever was obstacle-free. Regardless of this, it is on the path of capturing a good trade by using cryptocurrency. Anonymous users are steadily decreasing as the formal method of customer identification is working appropriately, which is “Know Your Customer”. This compliance is rising globally.

Despite the challenges that appear in the way of implementing the usage of cryptocurrency for transactions, Iran is willing to turn the tides in her favor by enhancing new possibilities in order to evade sanctions. One of such significant developments is to originate a central bank digital currency. The other one is decentralized finance (DeFi). This is a huge favor for the Iranian government as the increasing class of cryptocurrency activities are aiming to provide financial services inclusive of traditional banking systems, trading without intermediaries and lending. For instance, the inflation rate has been increasing rapidly in Iran, but by the use of DeFi, it is able to borrow funds from the global markets at lower rates compared to that being offered inside the country.

Moreover, leveraging decentralized exchanges are also helpful in converting the cryptocurrency to fiat by using the channels that are uncontrollable by anyone outside of the country. As far as the industry side is concerned, DeFi community has to stay alert because of the transparency as blockchains simply record all the transactions, which can be further analyzed in doubtful scenarios. To maintain security, many of the service providers undertake multiple checks to limit the illegal activities from their end, and also make their best effort to avoid the noncompliance with regulations.

Therefore, Iran has realized that usage of cryptocurrency is one of the major methods to challenge the dominating factor of The United States on financial architecture. This is an opportunity for Iran to become strong and access the global market by using cryptocurrency. There might be a few holes in the regulations, but they can be fulfilled by the government and the people of Iran.

Iran Ready for Full Prisoner Swap with US: Spokesman

Iran Says It’s Time for US Gov’t to Set Aside Obstinacy

Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Rabiei said the responsibility for any delay in the exchange of Iranian and American inmates lies with Washington alone, as Tehran has already voiced readiness to conduct a full prisoner swap.

“Last week, we had a prisoner swap with the administration of the United States of America, an exchange of our prisoners -the dear Iranians- and the individuals who had committed crimes in Iran. It was good news that we managed to liberate three perfect Iranian scientists who have made great efforts to remove the scientific obstacles in the way of our country,” he noted.

“Dr. Soleimani, Dr. Taheri, and Dr. Asgari have either returned to Tehran or are on their way to Tehran. We hope that such process of complete release of all Iranians imprisoned in the US would continue. And as we have repeatedly announced, Iran is fully prepared for the exchange of all prisoners, and the responsibility for such procrastination lies with the government of the United States of America,” Rabiei added.

Asked about Iran’s view about the upcoming presidential elections in the US, the spokesman said, “We have nothing to do with the domestic elections in the US. We make decisions according to our own national interests. It depends on the polices of Mr. Trump’s administration when to show violence and when to exercise leniency. We neither feel fear for their display of violence, nor do we care about their window dressing policy.”

“We have nothing to do with the domestic issues of the US elections. The issues about the US elections are that country’s internal matters. We act according to our own national interests, and will definitely make decisions considering the US’s behaviors that run counter to the customary international law, regardless of their domestic issues. We do not intend to make a decision depending on who will be elected (US president), rather, we care about the national interests,” he added.

“Nevertheless, we do not see any sign of these tweets being genuine. The US administration’s willingness for serious and fruitful negotiations would have signs, which are not evident in the tweets and in such affairs. We have already announced that if the US is eager to hold talks with Iran, it can return to these talks with the presence of the remaining parties to the JCPOA by returning to the negotiating table it has once left,” Rabiei stated.

On the US administration’s push for direct talks and new deal with Iran, the spokesman said, “We are not optimistic that Mr. Trump’s invitation to negotiation and a deal would be anything more than a political show. The US administration also knows what it ought to do to achieve the appropriate conditions for any successful diplomacy towards Iran. They themselves are aware of it, and we have repeatedly made it clear. Throughout the past years, our trust in the (US) sincerity and seriousness and also in the fruitfulness of negotiation has been eroded. In order to build it (the trust), they (the US) must reconstruct whatever they have destroyed unilaterally.”

“We will make the necessary decisions on the basis of our national interests according to the conditions we mentioned. We also believe that their (American) threat to (propose) a resolution in the (UN) Security Council is a violation of the (UNSC) resolution 2231. We also do not recognize any right to extend the arms embargo against Iran. I make it clear that any political abuse by the US or any other country in the Security Council for changing the timeline for the resolution will have dire consequences; and the US and its cohorts will have to take overall responsibility for it,” he warned, referring to a resolution the US has drafted to extend a UN arms embargo on Iran that will expire in October under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Leader Praises Crew of Tankers That Delivered Fuel to Venezuela

Venezuela’s Special Envoy Lauds Iran for Fuel Shipments

Ayatollah Khamenei on Monday hailed the captains and crew of the Iranian oil tankers that carried fuel shipments to Venezuela.

“You did a great job. Your move was a jihadi one. You brought glory to the country,” Ayatollah Khamenei told the sailors in his message.

The Leader also wished the crew of the oil tankers success.

In May, five Iranian oil tankers carried gasoline to Venezuela in defiance of the US sanctions.

Although the US had threatened to block the delivery and had even deployed a naval flotilla to the Caribbean Sea, the Iranian oil tankers sailed across the Caribbean and delivered the fuel to Venezuelan ports.

Analysts believe Iran’s gesture of solidarity will strengthen diplomatic relations and trade agreements between the two countries.

Media Playing Key Role in Psychological War with Enemies: Iranian Minister

Media Playing Key Role in Psychological War with Enemies: Iranian Minister

Addressing a ceremony on the inauguration of new director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday, the Minister of Culture said the local news media play a significant role in the current delicate conditions.

“Today, Iran is engaged in various battles,” Salehi noted, pointing to the economic war that the enemies have mounted to exert more pressure on Iran and the psychological warfare the foes have waged to foment disappointment and division in Iran.

“A news agency like IRNA has a difficult duty in such junctures,” the minister added.

Salehi further touched on the great responsibility that the Iranian news agencies have taken for dealing with the security wars and the biological warfare, and in handling the situation in the natural disasters, including the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Apart from performing the duty to build trust and create hope in the society, the media must exhibit the potential for social repair, the minister added, noting, “At some points, when we think that everything is over, the power of social repair has turned everything around.”

He finally pointed to the bright prospect for growth in IRNA, saying, “Today, the media has closer connections with technology, and it’s not possible anymore to compensate for technological underdevelopment easily.”

IRNA is the official news agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The agency has dozens of offices in the foreign countries.

Iranian Firm Develops SMD Electronic Board Assembly Machine

Iranian Firm Develops SMD Electronic Board Assembly Machine

Maral Robot Sanat Company provides services to SMD board manufacturers by producing SMD board assembly machines with high speed and accuracy.

The company‘s CEO says foreign samples of all the products developed by this firm are being imported from other countries at high costs.

Ata Qader said if the use of Iranian-made products is institutionalised in the industries, the outflow of foreign exchange from the country will be significantly reduced.

All of the company’s products are made domestically, said Qader, noting that 15 local specialists are working for the company.

He also pointed to the tin paste printers developed by Maral Robot Sanat, saying, “The manual printer is an easy device to apply tin paste on electronic boards. Tin paste printing is an important process and the assembly machine must be carefully adjusted.”

The settings of this device are completely manual and rotating clamps are used to move the platform in the X and Y directions,” he said.

“Also, stencils of different sizes are fastened to the top frame using rotating clamps,” he added.

The tin paste printer also has a removable drawer for placing PCBs on magnetic clocks. In this case, it will be easier to install and replace the PCB. By moving and locking the clocks to the desired size, it is possible to print for boards of different sizes.

Maral Robot Sanat Company seeks to find a good market for its products by using leasing services and participating in domestic and foreign exhibitions offered by the Islamic Republic’s Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.
