Iran Summons French Envoy over Macron’s Anti-Islam Stances

The Ambassador of Afghanistan to Tehran went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday morning to provide an explanation for a series of recent moves against the Iranian diplomatic missions in Afghanistan.

It came after the moves by a small group of certain political currents with a record of opposition to the Islamic Republic of Iran and to the good neighbourliness between Iran and Afghanistan.

The groups recently made a series of insulting moves and violated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassy and other missions in Afghanistan under the pretext that a number of Afghan nationals who had plans for illegal entry into Iran or had entered Iran illegally with the help of traffickers have died.

In the Saturday meeting in Tehran, Director General of West Asia of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern about the impact of the wrong measures by that small group on the neighbourly relations between Iran and Afghanistan.

Iran Exports 20% of Domestically-Produced Nano-Products

Iran Exports 20% of Domestically-Produced Nano-Products

Saeid Sarkar said the Islamic Republic is now exporting nano-products to dozens of countries.

“We have managed to export nano-products to more than 50 countries around the world,” said Sarkar, the secretary of a special nanotechnology development committee of the Science and Technology Department of the Presidential Office.

He said the sales of these products fluctuates depending on what time of the year they are being exported.

“We may not sell any products to a country in one year, but the sales may increase tremendously the following year,” he noted.

“Selling nano-products is a little difficult due to sanctions and international issues,” he added.

Sarkar underlined due regard should be paid to the quality of products.
“The world is after products with high quality and low prices, and we should pay special attention to this issue in order to be able to make our presence felt on the international stage,” he said.

He said nano-exports include a whole range of products, including lab equipment, health equipment, anti-cancer drugs, construction materials and textiles.

“Given the coronavirus outbreak, knowledge-based companies also made serious and numerous efforts to produce masks and disinfectants. We managed to secure a good market in these areas abroad as well,” he added.

ReciGen May Be Cure for COVID-19: Iran Official

The comment was made by Ali-Akbar Velayati, the head of the Masih Danesvari hospital in Tehran where the highest number of COVID-19 patients are under treatment.

“Numerous efforts have been made to find a proper treatment and develop an effective medicine [for COVID-19],” he said.

“In Masih Daneshvari hospital, invaluable steps have been taken in the research domain on the back of attempts by experts and doctors, and we hope their positive results will be presented,” he added.

“Today, we are also going to unveil a drug against the coronavirus which can play a key role in reducing fatalities,” he added.

“One of the drugs used is ReciGen (the trade name of the interferon β-1 a drug) which has been very effective in treating coronavirus patients, and we can somehow deal with the disease by using this drug,” added Velayati.

He said the medication is licensed by the health ministry, adding the recovery rate among patients taking the drug has been five times higher.

He said further research on a larger scaled has been planned in that regard, which will be implemented with the coordination of the health ministry.

Iran Denies Reports on Suspension of Trade with UAE

Iran Denies Reports on Suspension of Trade with UAE

The organization noted the trend of mutual trade transactions are as before, and only health protocols have been put in place given the coronavirus pandemic.

“Except for adopting measures with regards to compliance with health protocols in some of its ports, the UAE government has taken no new action to enforce restrictions on imports,” said the organization in an announcement.

“Such measures are not only no impediment to Iran’s exports to that country, but have also given assurances to the governments of both sides with regards to observing actions that would guarantee the health of trade authorities and citizens of both countries,” the organization added.

Based on this announcement, with the coronavirus outbreak, the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran drew up special trade health protocols in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Ministry of Roads and Transportation and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Accordingly, Iran proposed to neighbouring countries, including the UAE, that these protocols be enforced, so that they will be given assurances of Iran’s exported commodities. Therefore, the coronavirus outbreak would have the least impact on trade with neighbouring countries.

The comments came after reports that the UAE has resumed its trade ties with all its neighbours except Iran following the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, raising speculations that Abu Dhabi is severing its ties with Tehran.

Iran Refutes UN’s Allegations about Aramco Missile Attack

Iran Refutes UN's Allegations about Aramco Missile Attack

What follows is the statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Friday:

The Islamic Republic of Iran categorically rejects the allegations of the UN Secretariat, which is clearly under political pressure from the US and Saudi regimes, and expresses its deep concern over the abuse of the UN Secretariat for political purposes.

The Secretariat, based on an unusual interpretation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2231, has so far refrained from reporting on numerous violations by the United States and European States with respect to the UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the JCPOA (Annex A to the Resolution), inter alia, the unlawful withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA, which is a grave violation of Resolution 2231 and its subsequent illegal actions towards UN Security Council Resolution 2231 by re-imposition of sanctions.
While the Secretariat has treated with utmost tolerance and leniency towards these violations so far, it is now surprisingly engaged with an issue in which it has no authority to point out highly technical and legal findings, and its so-called technical report is in no way in line with the practical arrangements of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 to perform its functions.

Interestingly, the Secretariat’s report coincides with the US’ move to propose a dangerous draft resolution that paves the way for extension of arms restrictions on Iran in an illegal way; and yet more surprisingly, the content of this report is used by the US two weeks prior to its official release. The aforementioned fact creates the impression that the report has been prepared under direction of the United States and to be used in the efforts of that State in the Security Council against Iran.

Levelling accusations against other states using self-created processes and arbitrary procedures is a dangerous heresy, which is not accepted by the international community. Such dictated processes will cause severe damage to the credibility and undermine the integrity of the United Nations. Preparing a report with political motives never changes the facts on tye ground, and it is obvious to everyone that the current situation in the region is a direct result of the wrong policies of the United States and the child-murderer regime of Saudi Arabia. How is it that the UN Secretary-General refuses to take into consideration the sale of lethal weapons to Saudi Arabia, the use of which against the defenceless people of Yemen is indisputable, but rather, he is sending his investigation teams to search through Saudi waste materials to provide evidence for US baseless claims?

Undoubtedly, such reports will not only fail to help bring peace and security to the region and implement the UN resolutions, but will also completely destroy the credibility and reputation of the United Nations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly recommends that the UN Secretariat not move in the pre-planned US scenario to prevent the lifting of Iran’s arms restrictions and not assist a violating State in this dangerous process by circulating such unlawful reports. The United States itself is the gravest violator of Security Council Resolution 2231, and no one can clear the name of that State from systematic violations of international rules.

Persian Architecture in Photos: Niavaran Palace

Niavaran Palace in Tehran

Located in the northeast corner of Niavaran Garden, the palace is a building with two and a half storey in an area of about 9,000 square kilometres.

The construction of Niavaran Palace started based on an Iranian design in 1958; however the work was interrupted for a while and didn’t finish until 1967.

Although the project’s initial goal was to build a place for royal reception and accommodation of the court’s high-ranking guests, it went through some changes of function during the implementation; and the palace was finally given to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi- the last Iranian king- and his family.

The building was put in use in 1968 as the main residence of the king and his family, and remained so until the final hours before their departure from the country in 1979.

The foursquare structure of Niavaran Palace and its interior design are inspired by the Iranian architecture incorporated with the modern technology. Its decoration is a combination of the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic Persian art. Some well-known Iranian masters have used stucco, mirror work and tiling to decorate the building’s exterior façade.

The floor is covered by black granite, and the roof, which opens from the middle, is made of aluminium.

A French group designed and made the palace’s interior decoration and furniture. Its ground floor includes a large foyer around which the rooms are situated; including the private cinema, dining room, reception hall, waiting room and side halls, as well as the Blue Hall.

The main office, the conference room, the office of secretory of Farah Diba, -the former Iranian queen-, the bedroom of Leila – the king’s youngest daughter -, as well as the latter’s maid of honour’s room are located in the half-floor.

In the third floor there are the king’s midday lounge and bedroom, the queen’s make-up and dressing room, and the rooms of king’s other children and their maids of honour.
At the end of visit course, there is a room on the way of stairs where the king’s official and military uniforms, as well as his medals and badges are kept.

An exquisite collections of paintings by Iranian and foreign artists, porcelain from Sur and Rosenthal factories, decorative objects, and a collection of exquisite Iranian carpets adorn these spaces.

Niavaran Private Palace was closed in January 2004 with the aim of repair and improvement. The complete restoration of the building and its facilities, furniture and a large number of objects took 6 years. It was finally reopened to the public in March 2010.

7 Ways to Improve Your Content Writing Skills for Internet

The Internet paved the way for content writers to always be in demand, as original content is one of the most important building blocks of SEO. If you’re a content writer looking to improve your skills, here are seven of the best advice from expert content writers:

Character counters are your friend

Character count is very important in content writing. It determines the reading time, as well as the seriousness and gravity of the content involved. Content writers know that there’s a certain word count for every type of article, as Google’s algorithm only crawls content, which is higher than what it’s designated.

Writers who write for social media also need to be aware of restrictions regarding character counts. Tweets, for example, can only be 280 characters long. A Facebook and Instagram post can hold hundreds of words and characters, but a lengthy post doesn’t necessarily mean instant clicks and readership. This is where you can use character counters to your advantage!

Use subheads

Blog posts used to be lengthy musings from a single person, but now every article can be a blog post, based on how it can effectively persuade people about a product, an idea, or an opinion. A 500-word article may not sound too long, but it actually can be a heavy read if you do not divide your points into subheads.

Subheads are a great way to break a long block of text and make it easier for your readers to digest the information you are peddling. In a regular web article of 600-800 words long, it’s wise for a content writer to put in 3-5 subheads. This way, the brain will register the article shorter than it really is.

Divide a topic into bite-sized more understandable tidbits

A direct offshoot of using subheads, dividing your topic into small, more digestible tidbits will instantly make your article more readable. Use subheads to divide your topic into things you want to talk about and address. Say, for example, if you are writing about vitamin D, you can divide your topic and subheads into benefits, dosage, and potential side effects.

Stay on topic

This is where it gets tricky. Staying on topic is a very basic requirement of writing, but sometimes it is often overlooked. When you’ve chosen a topic to write about, stick with it until it’s completed. Identify the subtopics you want and don’t want to write about, then proceed to flesh out your outline. It will be tempting to stray away from it sometimes but trust us when we say that only you have the power to make it happen.

Keep paragraphs short and sentences shorter

Make this one your holy grail. In content writing, the shorter your sentences are, the better. It’s more readable, more approachable, and more understandable. With short sentences you are telling your readers that any topic that you’re writing about can be understood, no matter how complicated it is.

It’s also imperative that you keep paragraphs short. Keep it to four to five lines, maximum. Again, the purpose of this is to make readers more comfortable. A big block of text is not only intimidating, but it also can be off-putting for most readers. Consider also that most people are reading from their smartphones nowadays, and a paragraph that spans from the top of their screens to the bottom will have little to no engagement.

Time yourself

This sounds counterproductive at first, but knowing your writing speed will make you realize how to capitalize and pace yourself properly. With content writing, you will be writing articles the whole day, so you need to know your limits. When you know how long you can write a standard article, you can then assess how many articles you can write per day without exhausting yourself.

Choose simple words

Simple words mean better understanding. Forget about long-winded sentences with several dangling modifiers – trying to sound academic and technical won’t necessarily make you better, or earn more. Sure, there is a market for technical writers out there, but for this, you’ll need the experience to back you up. It can’t be overstated enough that words easily understood are more potent than ones that only confuse.

Takeaway

With content writing, the focus is always delivering information for readers in a fast and reliable way. Always bear in mind that people’s attention span nowadays is shorter than it was five years ago, and headlines are needed to be more read-worthy than ever. On the Internet, it’s about readership, clicks, and links, not necessarily the content. So if you want to be a great content writer make sure to keep up with the trends.

4  Interesting NBA Fun Facts That You Might Not Know

There are a lot of cool and exciting facts that we always miss. Often, we do not notice these fascinating facts because of all the action that happens. Now, these random facts, in a way, can be as spicy as a breakaway dunk or a 30-foot three. These facts will surely give you a new perspective on the game and league that we all love.

If you want to know other fun facts besides NBA, you can check out this article that talks about random facts. These facts will put your fandom for a particular hoop-star in a new light. Every fact that we are going to mention will involve stats, player tendencies, and even contracts!

Shaq’s Only Three-Point Field Goal

Shaquille O’Neal, who is the most dominant player in basketball history, made only a single three-point shot. This stat exists for a good reason. Shaq O’Neal was so dominant in the post that he did not have to stretch to the three-point line. Every touch he made down on the block was going to be to an automatic basket. Unless you send him to the foul line, that is.

People knew Shaq’s dominance meant he had trouble with his free throws, specifically with how strong he is. Shooting from further away means that he couldn’t control his strength. And if he couldn’t hit from 15 feet away, he surely would have more trouble trying to shoot from 25 or 30 feet away.

This didn’t do anything bad for his career, still. The guy is in the hall of fame, has four rings and an MVP, among other accolades.

Kobe Was Drafted 13th

Talk about a crazy stat. Who sincerely believed that 12 players were better than Kobe? Kobe Bean Bryant had one of the most illustrious careers in basketball, and yet the reality of 12 teams passing on him on draft night is still enough to make you scratch your head. Also, remember that Kobe was traded by the Charlotte Hornets (the team that drafted him) to the Los Angeles Lakers for a young Vlade Divac. If that’s not a draft steal, then nothing else is.

Perhaps they could not tell that Kobe Bean was going to be one of the greats. I mean, I do not think that even a fortune teller could have foreseen that the Mamba would be one of the greats. But one thing is for sure: Kobe made sure to make this fact his motivation. 5 NBA titles, an MVP, and the 3rd most points scored in league history.

The NBA Banned The Use Of Air Jordan 1

Yes, the brand that athletes love found itself banned by the NBA. In 1985, Michael Jordan debuted the first-ever Air Jordan in the black and red colorway, which according to NBA uniform rules, is prohibited. Players were only allowed to wear white sneakers when playing home games, and black ones when playing road games.

Now, this fact sure comes off as a complete contrast with what we have now. Sure, the NBA fined MJ $5000 for wearing the black and red Jordan 1 (all paid by Nike), but the penalty was a small price to kickstart an entire sneaker movement.

Mugsy Bogues Blocked 39 Shots

Now, 39 career blocks may not impress you. However, these 39 blocked shots came from the smallest player in the history of the NBA. That is right. A player who stood at only 5’3″ was able to block 39 shot attempts. For a basketball league with a lot of giants and people above six feet tall, 39 blocked shots are pretty impressive.

For someone who stands as tall as the regular joe, 39 blocked shots are an impressive stat. You would also have to account for the fact that these blocked shots came from players who are all taller than him, and by taller we mean at least 1 and a half feet. This stat should prove that being in the NBA, no matter how short you are, means you’re among the best players in the world.

Final Thoughts

We miss tons of exciting things while all the basketball action happens. Some of these facts happen beyond the scenes. One thing is for sure. These random facts only add to our love for the NBA and basketball in general. Nothing adds our passion for the game of basketball than knowing a few fun facts.

These basketball facts can be some of the most bizarre stats that you can find. Who in their right mind would choose thirteen players over Kobe Bryant? There are a lot of breakthroughs that can happen in the sport of basketball. These stats are proof of how intense and surprising the game truly is

Iran’s Wildlife in Photos: Persian Fallow Deer

Iran's Wildlife

The wildlife Sanctuary of Dasht-e-Naz, the main centre for the reproduction of Persian fallow deer, is located 29 km east of Sari, Mazandaran province.

It has an area of about 55 hectares near Mian-do-rood county. 53 male and female Persian fellow deer are kept in this centre at this moment. This sanctuary has been introduced as the first semi-natural reproduction centre in the country.

The fallow deer is herbivore, folivore and ruminant. Along with the red deer, it is among the most important animals in the world that are not doing well these days: they are considered endangered species according to the law, placed under the EN category of the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List.
