Iranian scientists in the knowledge-based company ‘Pishgam Paya Zist’ have produced the high-tech IVF kits for the creation of livestock embryo in the laboratory that would help the animal husbandry industry breed purebred dairy and beef cattle.

Iran is now the world’s second country with the technical know-how to produce such kits.

The Iranian experts have developed an IVF-based growth medium that replaces five sets of growth medium made by an American company and is employed to culture embryo in a single integrated process.

The significant breakthrough has won two awards for the best project in the Techmart Festival of Iran.

The Iranian company’s strategy is to focus on research for the development of homegrown IVF techniques and supply the major industrial companies with the technology.

According to the CEO of the company, the Iranian firm is also developing an IVF microfluidics chip used for sperm sorting.

No Legal Verdict against Iranian Banks in Bahrain: CBI Official

No Legal Verdict against Iranian Banks in Bahrain: CBI Official

In comments on Saturday, director-general of CBI’s Legal Affairs Department rejected reports that Bahraini courts have issued rulings against a number of Iranian banks.

Morteza E’tebari said none of the Iranian banks, including the Central Bank, has received any ruling from the Bahraini courts that would contain information on the subject of the case, the allegations, the defendant, or the name of a judicial authority working on the case.

Any verdict issued against the Iranian banks would be a fabricated and political ruling that lacks legal credibility, he noted, saying such decision would be inadmissible because of ignoring the right to judicial defense processes.

E’tebari made it clear that any executive action on the basis of the unfounded rulings would be deemed null and void, saying Iran will give the appropriate legal response at the proper time as soon as it receives any court ruling.

The CBI official then denounced the Bahraini government’s ruling against Future Bank and its managers, saying the rulings are based upon bogus charges and fabricated cases without going through legal procedures.

“The Bahraini government’s measure is a support for the US government’s maximum pressures (against Iran) and is aimed at diverting the public opinion from that country’s illegal move to confiscate the Bank (Future Bank) unlawfully,” he noted.

In a statement in April, Iran’s Foreign Ministry rejected the Bahraini government’s rulings against Future Bank and its managers and against a number of other Iranian banks, saying, “The rulings have been issued on the basis of a fabricated case, and the bogus accusations against the convicts in the case lack any legal value and bear the Bahraini government’s responsibility for their consequences. Needless to say, Iran will not hesitate to defend the interests and rights of its nationals.”

“Future Bank was founded in 2004 at the suggestion and with the permission of the Bahraini government as a joint venture among Iran’s Melli Bank and Saderat Bank as well as Bahrain’s Ahli United Bank, and, from the outset, that country’s (Bahrain’s) Central Bank has been constantly and continually monitoring the banking activities and transactions through its supervisory sections and its representatives in Future Bank’s board of directors,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on April 1.

Iran’s Anzali Port: A Mesmerizing City with Dazzling Attractions

Anzali Port

Anzali is the second most populated city of northern Gilan province. Anzali also gets the most rain among all cities across the country. The port city is particularly known for its mesmerizing lagoon called Anzali Lagoon. Measuring 20 thousand hectares, the wetland is one of Iran’s environmental wonders and has been registered internationally.

Anzali Lagoon hosts migratory birds and, in its shallow parts, is a refuge for horses and buffalos. Beautiful water lilies make the wetland all the more attractive.

Among the visitor sites of the port city are its harbour and coastline, which stretches as long as 42 kilometres.

The pier is Iran’s third busiest in terms of the volume of the cargo loaded and unloaded.

In 1922, Germans brought the first ship from Europe to Anzali port. Run by Russia, the pier was handed over to Iranian officials of the time in 1927.

Located near the pier, the coastal green belt of Anzali is yet another attractions of the city. Built in 1928, the architecture of this coast park is inspired by the Russian architecture. The park gives the pier a picturesque view as vessels ply across the water and seagulls fly over.

Time for US to Make Up for Mistakes: President Rouhani

Time for US to Make Up for Mistakes

Addressing a session of the government’s Economic Coordination Headquarters on Sunday, President Rouhani said the results of the US presidential election reveal that Washington’s “damaging and wrong” policies over the past three years have been rejected not only by the world’s people, but also by the American citizens.

“The next US administration has now an opportunity to make up for the past mistakes and return to the path of commitment to international undertakings by respecting the global rules,” the Iranian president added.

President Rouhani reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to the policy of constructive interaction with the world and always carries out its commitments if all parties honour their responsibly.

The Iranian nation has overcome an economic war imposed by the US, the president underlined, adding, “With their heroic resistance against the imposed economic war, the Iranian people proved that the US policy of maximum pressure is doomed to failure.”

President Rouhani then stressed the need to promote cooperation and interaction between Iran and the neighbours in order to ensure regional security and development, saying the path to economic stability and growth in Iran should be followed strongly and immediately.

The president finally pointed to the Iranian administration’s policies for economic growth by boosting domestic production, stimulating investment, and strengthening the national currency.
