Iran’s Taremi crowned Inter’s Most Valuable Player during FIFA int’l break

Taremi shone brightly in Iran’s World Cup qualification campaign on Tuesday, delivering an outstanding performance against Uzbekistan by playing a full 90 minutes and scoring two crucial goals.

His efforts not only secured Iran’s spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup but also accounted for 70% of Inter Milan players’ total goals during the break.

Taremi missed Iran’s first match against the UAE for precautionary reasons.

The Italian report highlights that eight Inter players represented their national teams during this period, logging a combined total of 1,003 minutes.

However, Taremi’s efficiency was unmatched, with an average of a goal every 45 minutes. The exceptional record set him apart from teammates like Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who scored once in 180 minutes.

Taremi’s efficiency solidified his status as the club’s top performer. His form will be vital as Inter resumes Serie A and Champions League campaigns.

Aide to Iran Leader voices optimism about talks with US

Larijani added that both sides must accept the terms of negotiations.

He also said, “Right now, they are saying their word and we are saying ours”.

Larijani also said he hopes possible talks with the US will be fruitful.

The member of the Expediency Council akso said the Iranian people have always supported the Palestinian cause.

Larijani maintained that people’s turnout for the Quds Day rallies, held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, helps advance national interests.

He said marches in support of the Palestinian people against Israeli oppression can be of great help to the Palestinian resistance.

He added that Western governments have always shown that they support Israel, but Western nations, influenced by these marches, are expressing their support for the Palestinian people.

Iran envoy to Iraq: Dissolution of PMU up to Iraqi officials

Mohammad Kazem Ale Sadegh referred to US President Donald Trump’s recent letter to Iran, saying in the letter he said he was ready for talks but he went on to take a threatening posture about the axis of resistance. According to Ale Sadegh, despite Trump’s call for the dissolution of Hashd al-Shaabi, the group is legal and any decision about it is up to the Iraqi government.

The Iranian ambassador to Baghdad said Hashd al-Shaabi played a key role in fighting Daesh terrorists.

Ale Sadegh noted that Iran will not talk with anyone over its missile program and is ready for talks over the nuclear issue only if its rights are guaranteed.

Asked about Iran’s gas exports to Iraq, he noted that the Islamic Republic exports 200 million cubic meters of gas and 500 megawatts of electricity to Iraq daily but the enemy is bent on disrupting ties between the two nations, in an apparent reference to the US pressure on Baghdad to stop energy imports from Iran.

Ale Sadegh further spoke about the resistance in Lebanon and Yemen, rejecting claims that the resistance groups in the two countries have weakened.

He noted that the resistance is alive.

Quds Day marchers call for prosecution of “Gaza Butcher”, condemn genocide, forced displacement of Palestinians

In the final resolution of this widespread rally, held on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting Month of Ramadan, there was an emphasis on the prosecution of the leaders of the Zionist regime, particularly the Gaza butcher, Benjamin Netanyahu, in international criminal courts, and the necessity of humanitarian aid into and reconstruction of Gaza as a humanitarian imperative.

The marchers stated that the unconditional support of the United States and some European governments for the illegitimate Zionist regime provides a security umbrella for the continuation of this regime’s crimes within the flawed structures of international law.

The resolution noted that the downfall of the occupying regime is not a possibility but a historical necessity in the unfolding developments of the region and the world.

They also considered the Al-Aqsa Storm operation and the subsequent operations “True Promise One and Two” against Israel as the most significant factors in changing the balance of power and consolidating resistance in the geopolitical equations of the region.

The ralliers honored the martyrs of the resistance, especially Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Yahya Sinwar.

The marchers warned certain regional governments that are seeking normalization with and legitimization of the Zionist regime, emphasizing that the experience of Ukraine has shown that the United States and its Western partners will abandon their allies to a predetermined fate after exploitation and abuse.

They also lamented the silence of Islamic governments regarding the genocide of the Muslim people of Gaza and the military aggression of the US and the UK in Yemen, stressing the need for practical actions to end these crimes.

British foreign secretary highlights diplomatic solution for Iran nuclear case

In a phone call on Thursday night, with the Foreign Minister of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Lammy said the matter will soon be reviewed again in talks with his European and American counterparts.

The UK foreign secretary also congratulated the Iranian foreign minister on Nowruz and the Persian New Year.

Araghchi, in turn, referring to four rounds of talks between representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and three European countries, expressed disappointment over certain activities and unconstructive positions by European countries and the European Union, including imposing and continuing various sanctions against Iran under baseless pretexts.

He called on the three European countries, the UK, France and Germany, to reconsider their approaches regarding Iran and the issues of the West Asia region.

Araghchi reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s peaceful nuclear stance and approach based on engagement, dismissing direct negotiation under the “maximum pressure” and “military threats” as meaningless. Nevertheless, he affirmed Tehran’s readiness to pursue a diplomatic approach.

Araghchi also criticized contradictory messages and positions from American officials regarding negotiations with Iran, describing the instrumental use of diplomacy for political and psychological pressure as unacceptable.

He asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran had responsibly responded to the American president’s letter in a diplomatic manner through the appropriate channels.

During the phone call, the top Iranian and British diplomats welcomed the commencement of duties by the new ambassadors of Iran and the UK in London and Tehran, expressing hope that the development would facilitate smoother and more effective bilateral relations.

They emphasized the importance of maintaining communication channels between Tehran and London for more effective follow-up on bilateral matters.

FM Araghchi on Trump’s Letter: We Will Not Allow Threats Against Nation

Speaking on Friday on the sidelines of the International Quds Day rallies, held annually on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, in Tehran, Araghchi said: “We carefully analyzed Trump’s letter, discussed its various aspects, and ultimately conveyed our response through appropriate channels.”

The Foreign Minister noted that efforts had been made “to keep a window open for diplomacy.”

Araghchi emphasized that the developments over the past year—from last Quds Day to today—have been truly significant, placing the Resistance in a new strategic position. Thus, this year’s support for the Resistance and the Palestinian cause carries a distinct weight.

He stressed that the Iranian people have clearly grasped this reality, demonstrating that the Palestinian cause cannot be forgotten. Al-Quds, as the first qibla of Muslims, belongs to all of them and must be liberated from occupation.

“We are in an extremely sensitive period, and our region remains volatile, with conflicts simmering at every corner,” Araghchi said. “In such critical times, it is essential for us—whose strength derives from our people—to display Iran’s unwavering resolve and might.”

He added this year’s massive public turnout for Quds Day not only reaffirms firm support for Palestine but also serves as a powerful display of the Islamic Republic’s deterrence capability—one that will undoubtedly frustrate the enemies.

Iran Parliament Chief: Palestine Litmus Test for West’s Double Standards

Speaking on Friday at a ceremony commemorating International Quds Day, ahead of Tehran’s Friday Prayers sermon, Qalibaf described the Palestinian issue as “a tragic tale not just for the Islamic Ummah but for all humanity over the past decades.

He added the Zionist regime, by usurping the rights of the Palestinian people and through genocide, assassination, torture, and the slaughter of women and children, has oppressed this nation. These crimes are incompatible even with the proclaimed values of Western civilization—revealing the gap between their rhetoric and actions.

Qalibaf called Palestine the litmus test for the West’s double standards, emphasizing that Palestine is the awakened conscience of the global community against the oppressive world order—a system sustained by injustice, where the Zionist regime serves as the killing machine of criminal America.

Addressing US claims of seeking dialogue with Iran, Qalibaf said Negotiation under threat means imposing their demands on us. What they really want is the disarmament of the Islamic Republic.

He further criticized US President Donald Trump’s recent letter to Iran, stating Trump said nothing about lifting sanctions—he only spoke in the language of bullying.

Qalibaf warned If the enemies dare to threaten Islamic Iran, America’s regional allies and military bases will be as vulnerable as a powder keg.

He also said the US is backing the vile and despicable Zionist regime through military, intelligence, and political support, while adding: “Other actors, particularly the British, play a key role in this. Once again, the Islamic world has been stabbed in the back by treacherous Britain.”

Iranians rally on Quds Day in solidarity with Palestine

The annual event, held on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, saw demonstrators chanting slogans against Israel and the US.

Protesters gathered at multiple points across Tehran, converging at the University of Tehran, where Friday prayers are held.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, delivered a speech denouncing “Zionist crimes” and calling for Muslim unity.

Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), described the nationwide mobilization as a rejection of Israel’s “genocidal campaign” in Gaza.

Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, designated the last Friday of Ramadan as the International Quds Day, describing it as a global Muslim mobilization against oppression. He framed it not just as a pro-Palestinian event but as a symbol of Islamic resistance against Western dominance.

This year’s rallies carried the slogan “We Keep the Promise, O Quds,” reaffirming Iran’s stance against Israel. State media reported nationwide participation, with similar demonstrations in major cities.

Quds Day is observed in several countries, though Iran’s events are among the largest.
