In the Tuesday phone call, Abdullah called for continued support for the country’s peace process.
Taherian, in turn, underlined Iran’s support for the Afghan peace process and efforts made within this framework.
He also stressed the necessity for further interaction among various fronts of the country in order to accelerate the achievement of peace.
Rabiei said in a presser on Tuesday that Tehran hopes the final round of the nuclear talks in Vienna is held soon and the negotiations bear fruit before the current administration leaves office.
“Just as we are in no haste in the talks, we are strongly opposed to the negotiations lingering on. Our focus is on ending the negotiations in the remaining time,” Rabiei said.
He also dismissed stated concerns on whether a change of administration in Iran affects the commitments Iran makes in the talks. He said everyone can rest assured that the Islamic Republic will not go back on its commitments as long as all signatories to the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, stick to their obligations under the accord.
“Adherence to commitments and respect for international law is an established principle of Iran’s foreign policy, which will not change with a change in government,” Rabiei said.
The spokesman also talked about the remaining FATF bills, which Iran should ratify before it is removed from the regulatory body’s blacklist. He said these bills are an independent issue and are not related to the nuclear talks in Vienna. Rabiei stressed that the Expediency Council has the final say on the issue. But he expressed hopes that revival of the nuclear deal would increase the ratification chances of the Palermo and CFT bills.

Put a tablespoonful of frying oil into a frying pan and place it on a stove set to medium heat. Wait for the oil to heat up. Then put the onions inside and roast until they get soft. Add the turmeric after that.
Then add the sliced sheep liver and tail fat and mix with the onions. Roast the mixture for five minutes. Then add the sliced pepper and mix again.
Now it’s time to add the salt and black pepper powder to your taste and place the frying pan on the stove and let it heat up for three minutes as you mix the contents.
Then pour the mixture into an appropriate dish and mash it. Use a bowl to mix the garlic in the yogurt and then add the mixture to the mashed mixture.
Your Chertmeh is ready! Serve it with saffron rice, leafy greens and several slices of lemon.

Alireza Naji, however, added the trend of COVID-19 inoculation in the country has not stopped.
“It seems a new consignment of vaccines will arrive in the country next week, but if it doesn’t, we should do something serious about that,” said Naji, the head of a virology research centre.
“Considering the talks held and promises made, some amount of vaccine is likely to be delivered to Iran by China or Russia. Still, I believe the problem remains,” he added.
“Unfortunately, due to the breach of promises by vaccine producing companies such as those in China and Russia, it has become very difficult for us to get vaccines,” he stressed.
He expressed hope the production of enough Iranian-made vaccines after clinical trials would help solve the problem to some extent.
“Due to the problems which exist in the world, the UN’s COVAX has not provided us with vaccine ration that it should have given us,” he said.
“India, too, due to its own problems or other possible reasons, has refused to provide us with vaccines,” he added.
“Vaccine has turned into a strategic commodity over which countries are closely competing with each other” he explained.
“Production is not enough to meet global demand. Russia, too, is not capable of producing a lot of Sputnik vaccine. Other countries have also pre-paid for the vaccine, but have not received it yet,” the expert explained.
“Moreover, China gives shots to many of its citizens daily, so much so that it inoculated some 19 million people in a single day,” he added.
“All these reasons have piled up and led to a breach of promise in terms of delivering vaccines to Iran,” he said.
The expert noted a different type of COVID-19 vaccine may be used for the second dose injection if the vaccine type used as the first dose is not available.
For instance, he said, those who received Sinopharm jabs as the first dose may be receive the Iranian-made vaccine Barekat as the second dose.
However, he said, there is no evidence suggesting it would be safe to use Sinopharm as the first does and Barekat as the second.
In a series of tweets, Kazem Gharibabadi said Rafael Grossi’s Monday reports on Iran’s nuclear program “ignore the level of cooperation and engagement” between the two sides.
“This approach could turn into an obstacle for future good-will interactions between the two sides,” Gharibabadi warned.
“The Agency’s report lacks triple C: it’s not “consistent” in relations with the background of cooperation between two sides; it’s not “credible” since is not based on reliable sources; it’s not “convincing” since does not contain all aspects of the cooperation and progress made.”
The Iranian official also called for a positive environment to facilitate constructive engagement with the IAEA. He said the agency needs to avoid pre-judgment and artificial concerns.

Gharibabadi also criticized the IAEA for refusing to address Israel’s arsenal of nuclear weapons. He said the agency must take a clear stand on the regime’s nuclear threat, the “unacceptable” fact that it has never joined the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and its refusal to place all its nuclear activities under the IAEA safeguards agreement.

Taherian said Iran considers Afghanistan’s peace and security as its own, and supports the peace process owned and led by Afghans.
He also expressed Iran’s preparedness for cooperation on facilitating and advancing intra-Afghan talks, and underlined the necessity of protecting the Afghan people’s achievements in the past two decades.
The two sides also expressed concern over the escalation of violence in Afghanistan in the past few months, and called for a decrease in violence and efforts to prevent civilian casualties.
