“Zionists can attack Iran only in their dreams”

Ali Bagheri Kani

In response to a question from Norway’s NRK news channel, Bagheri said the Zionists can only attack Iran in their dreams.

Bagheri said, “When Israelis dream that they are attacking Iran, they will not wake up anymore.“

An Israeli official on Thursday threatened that if Iran tries to spark war “at the gates of Israel”، the Zionist regime will drag the war into Iranian soil.

Israeli regime officials have been threatening Iran with war for many years but have not dared to make good on their threat yet.

Iran in response has said any aggression on its soil from any side will be met with a devastating response that will make aggressors regret their move.

Iran FM: US, EU3 move against Tehran unconstructive

Josep Borrell & Hossein Amir Abdolahian

In a telephone conversation with the European Union foreign policy chief, Amirabdollahian pointed out the move will only make the process of talks over Iran’s nuclear program more difficult and more complicated.

The top Iranian diplomat warned any move by the US and the European troika will be definitely met with an appropriate, effective and immediate response from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran’s foreign minister referred to the determination of the Islamic Republic to reach a good, strong and lasting deal.

He also thanked Borrell for his efforts and reiterated Iran’s readiness and resolve to continue the talks until they pay off in a realistic way that would be agreed upon by all sides.

Amirabdollahian further spoke about the destructive moves by the Zionist regime, which itself is the main culprit in the world when it comes to illegal nuclear activities.

The top Iranian diplomat added that the trip of the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to Tel Aviv ahead of the upcoming meeting of the agency’s Board of Governors is at odds with the principle of neutrality and the body’s technical and professional capacity.

EU Foreign Policy Chief Josef Borrell for his part criticized efforts by some parties to cause the talks to fail.

Borrell underlined the need to speed up efforts to make the talks success and result in a deal.

Borrell underscored the necessity of continuing consultations to move away from the current negative atmosphere at the IAEA and to focus on the continuation of negotiations so that all sides will return to their commitments under the Iran nuclear deal, JCPOA.

The two sides also emphasized the need for the IAEA to act professionally and remain neutral

Families of 9/11 victims press Biden over Saudi meeting

9/11

The 9/11 Families United chair Terry Strada urged Biden to “prioritize accountability for 9/11” in any conversations he or his administration have with Saudi officials or with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman when he visits the Middle Eastern country.

The letter highlighted Biden’s executive order to declassify 3,000 pages of documents related to the attack. The president said this action “confirms our long-held beliefs regarding Saudi Arabia’s deep involvement in the murders of our loved ones.”

The documents released last year showed that the FBI extensively investigated the level of support given to three Saudi nationals — including from a Saudi Embassy official in Washington, D.C., — once they landed in the US, including “procuring living quarters and assistance with assimilating” in the country.

They added that the “evidence” uncovered in the declassified documents “underscores the importance that you do not reward the Kingdom and Crown Prince with a presidential visit that allows it to continue escaping responsibility for its role in the most horrific attack in our nation’s history.”

Strada wrote that “accountability should be the cornerstone of any engagement.”

The letter also implored Biden not to omit the 9/11 attacks from his discussions and said if he did then “it would signal to the world that you are willing to indulge years more of Saudi obfuscation and obstruction, and that America prioritizes the interests of foreign powers and economics more than the lives of its citizenry.”

The group, which represents 3,000 people who lost their friends and family members in the attack, added that “we have watched presidents avoid the hard conversations required with the Kingdom for more than 20 years, and we continue to hope that you will be different.”

The White House did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment.

The letter comes as reports suggest that Biden and his administration are preparing for a possible visit to Saudi Arabia as gas prices in the US continue to hover at an all-time high. The potential visit could be a bid to convince the Middle East country to pump more oil.

COVID in Iran

Raisi made the comment in a tweet after the health ministry said on Thursday that Covid had left no deaths in the previous 24 hours.

He said in the early dates of his presidency, as many as 700 families lost their loved ones daily and people were told that foreign currency shortage and sanctions were to blame for the failure to import Covid vaccines.

The president added that he personally contacted leaders of the foreign countries and ordered the government to put vaccination above any other priority of the country.

Iran has attributed the downward trend in Covid deaths and infections to the country’s nationwide vaccination campaign and the people’s observance of health protocols.

US confirms to join allies in push for IAEA resolution against Iran

IAEA Board of Governors

“We can confirm that we plan to join the UK, France and Germany in seeking a resolution focused on the need for Iran to fully cooperate with the IAEA,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said ahead of a meeting next week.

He stated that the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency raised “very serious concerns that Iran has failed to credibly respond” to the Vienna-based body’s questions.

“It is essential that Iran does fully comply with its legally binding obligations” under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Price told reporters.

The forthcoming meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors comes as a pause in the negotiations to revive the nuclear deal enters its third month, with prospects described by Washington as “tenuous at best.” Iran blames the US and its three European allies – France, Britain, and Germany – for failing to act constructively.

Earlier on Thursday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian warned against any political interference in the technical affairs of the IAEA, describing such interference as “unconstructive.”

On Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman warned that Iran will respond strongly to any “unconstructive move” at the Board of Governors’ meeting.

Saeed Khatibzadeh stated Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and it will “naturally respond strongly and appropriately to any unconstructive move” at the IAEA Board of Governors meeting.

Iran says capable of meeting large part of global needs for gas

Gas station Europe

He was speaking at the International Conference of Energy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Oji said these reserves roughly equal 34 trillion cubic meters of gas.

Oji also said Iran is currently capable of producing 1 billion cubic meters of gas daily.

The Iranian oil minister then slammed anti-Iran sanctions. He said sanctions are a two-edged sword that will backfire on those that impose the bans on other countries.

Oji also said the governments that slap the sanctions mistakenly think they can stop Iran’s progress.

The minister added that the years-long oppressive sanctions have failed to stop the development of Iran’s oil and gas industries.
