FM Araghchi: Iran to defend its sovereignty with full force against Israeli aggressions

Abbas Araghchi

Speaking at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Friday, Araghchi said, “Iran has been attacked by an entity that has committed genocide in Palestine for two years and continues to occupy neighboring countries”.

The top Iranian diplomat noted that the Zionist regime’s aggression is a clear violation of Article 2 of the Human Rights Council charter.

He underscored that several Iranian officials and civilians have been assassinated in the Israeli strikes, which targeted public infrastructure, hospitals, and nuclear facilities that are under supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

“The attack is completely unjustifiable,” Araghchi said, adding that justifying such aggression amounts to complicity in it which is a serious breach of international humanitarian laws.

He also revealed that Iran was scheduled to meet with US officials on June 15 to finalize a promising agreement on its nuclear program, but the Israeli attacks disrupted the process.

The Iranian foreign minister noted that the Zionists’ strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities are not only illegal, but they also constitute serious war crimes.

Another Iranian hospital targeted in Israeli rocket attack

According to Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the attack occurred at approximately 00:45 a.m. local time on June 20. This is the third Iranian hospital targeted by the Zionist regime in recent days.

The ministry also confirmed that six ambulances and a comprehensive health service center have been attacked during the ongoing hostilities, which Iranian authorities have condemned as barbaric and inhumane.

In the past seven days of unjust and cowardly aggression, more than six violations of international conventions have been documented, raising serious concerns about the disregard for humanitarian and international law by the occupying regime, said the ministry.

The Israeli regime’s onslaught on Iran has so far martyred hundreds of civilians.

Iranians hold nationwide anti-Israeli rallies, voice support for armed forces

Tehran worshippers, standing in united rows, chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”, condemned the recent crimes of the Zionist regime—particularly the aerial attacks on various regions in Iran that led to the martyrdom of a number of defenseless civilians in urban and residential areas—and emphasized unity, solidarity, and resistance in the face of enemies.

The demonstrators, holding Iranian flags and placards reading slogans such as “Defense is our legitimate right,” also chanted slogans in support of Iran’s armed forces for their decisive response to the Zionist regime’s attacks, and called for the continuation of these retaliatory strikes with full strength and determination.

They asserted that now is the best time to destroy the criminal, child-killing Zionist regime.

Tehran demonstrators marched from the University of Tehran to Enghelab Square, carrying placards with messages such as “No to Negotiation,” “My Life for the Leader,” and “Labbaik Ya Khamenei,” while chanting passionate slogans.
They also burned the flag of the Zionist regime.

Similar demonstrations were held in other cities across Iran.
This came despite claims by American and Zionist media, which had predicted that following Israeli attacks on Iranian cities, people would not attend Friday prayers due to security concerns.

In a message addressed to the Leader and the people of Iran, Shamkhani expressed his readiness to serve in these critical times, stating: “We are a nation of hope and dignity. We may suffer loss, but we do not bow. We may bleed, but we do not surrender our identity. Our martyred commanders, our proud scientists, our men of the battlefield and the pulpit — they are never absent. They flow like blood in the veins of this nation. And now their sacred flag has been passed to us, so it will never fall to the ground.”

Shamkhani continued:”I am ready — not once, but a hundred times — to sacrifice myself for this land and its unparalleled people. Noble and beloved people of Iran, I wrote these few lines to tell you: you are not alone.”

In his message, Shamkhani also stated: “Let our dear and courageous Leader be assured: his children are still in the field — not only with weapons, but with faith and hope. And let the enemy know: fighting Iran is a game with fire that will leave them nothing but ashes.”

Foreign Minister: Iran Not Seeking Negotiations Amid Zionist Aggressions

Foreign Minister: Iran Not Seeking Negotiations Amid Zionist Aggressions

In an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Araqchi stated: “The Americans are seeking negotiations and have sent messages several times. But we have responded clearly that as long as this aggression and assault continues, there is absolutely no place for talk of dialogue or diplomacy.”

Araqchi added: “We are currently engaged in legitimate self-defense, and our defense will in no way be halted. We are not speaking with the US, as they are partners in these crimes. We have had no contact or dialogue with the Americans, and we will not have any under the present conditions.”

According to Iran’s Foreign Minister, there are numerous signs indicating collaboration between US forces in the region and the Zionist regime.

“We consider the Americans as allies and collaborators of the Zionist regime in this matter,” he said.

Referring to the retaliatory strikes by Iran’s armed forces in response to the Zionist regime’s attacks, Araqchi noted: “The courageous resistance put up by our armed forces is gradually revealing that their assumption—that the Iranian nation would surrender—was a false belief.”

Araqchi also said that no expectations can be placed on international organizations dominated by the West to take any action against the Zionist regime. “We had no expectations either—but we wanted the world to see and understand the reality,” he stated.

He described the wave of condemnation among Islamic, Arab, and regional countries against the Zionist regime’s aggression as strong.

Commenting on efforts by officials from some countries urging Iran to return to diplomacy, Araqchi said: “We were already in the middle of diplomacy—what are we supposed to return to? Even the Westerners themselves cannot explain why they fail to condemn the Zionist regime’s attack on nuclear facilities.”

Iran’s supreme natl. security council: Retaliation to continue until enemy punished

In a statement released by its secretariat, the top security body announced that its meetings have been held regularly in recent days to assess the situation following recent hostilities.

The statement warned that if the Zionist regime undertakes a new form of hostile action, Iran will respond with “predefined and different methods.”

It further noted that any third-party involvement in the aggression will be met with an immediate and decisive response in accordance with Iran’s pre-established operational plans.

Iran says to address IAEA chief’s inaction”

Rafael Grossi and Mohammad Eslami

In his letter, Eslami emphasized that the military strike constituted a grave violation of multiple international legal frameworks, including the Geneva Conventions and their protocols, the IAEA Statute, the UN Scientific Committee’s framework on the effects of atomic radiation, the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran’s Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement with the IAEA, relevant IAEA Board of Governors and General Conference resolutions, as well as IAEA safety standards.

Eslami urged the IAEA to immediately end its “inaction” and formally condemn Israel’s aggressions, which blatantly contravene international regulations.

He stressed that the agency must uphold its statutory responsibilities.
He reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take all necessary legal and sovereign measures to defend its rights, and that it holds the IAEA leadership accountable for failing to act in the face of such aggression.

Officials stated that once wartime conditions subside, regular internet access will gradually return to normal.

IRGC launches 15th wave of Operation True Promise targeting Haifa, Tel Aviv

According to the statement, the operation involves the deployment of over 100 combat and drones targeting critical military infrastructure, particularly Israel’s air defense systems.

The IRGC further emphasized that its missile campaign will continue with increased intensity, focusing specifically on military and defense-related sites.

The operation is described as “impact-oriented,” indicating precision strikes aimed at degrading Israel’s strategic capabilities.

Iranian MP: Zionist regime playing victim after heavy defeats

According to Kowsari, Tel Aviv failed to achieve its objectives despite targeting Iranian commanders, nuclear scientists, and strategic centers.

He described Israel’s recent attacks—such as the strike on Iran’s state broadcaster—as war crimes that have further tarnished its global reputation.

“Now they are trying to fabricate a narrative suggesting that Iran has attacked civilian service centers,” he said. “But in truth, these claims are nothing more than attempts at damage control following their humiliation.”

Kowsari stressed that Israel’s portrayal of itself as a victim is a calculated move to salvage its image on the world stage in the wake of Iran’s retaliatory and deterrent responses.
