Iranian Shooter Crowned Champ in 2020 Tokyo Paralympics

Iranian Paralympian Sareh Javanmardi has finished first in the 10-metre pistol competitions in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Paraympics.

She managed to get ahead of her seven rivals in the final stage, securing 239.2 points higher than the scores of Turkish and Hungarian athletes.

The Iranian shooter had advanced to the finals after receiving 572 points in the preliminary stage.

This was Javanmardi’s third paralympics gold medal.

She had already bagged the gold in Rio in the two previous competitions.

Moreover, she broke the world and Paralympics record with her latest victory in Tokyo.

On Monday, Iranian athletes snatched two gold medals and one silver at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
