A huge crowd of Iranians paid tribute to their celebrated poet Abolqasem Ferdowsi at his tomb in Tous in Khorasan Razavi Province on the National Ferdowsi Day marked on May 15.
Ferdowsi is one of the greatest poets of Iran known as the Savior of the Persian Language. He is called so because without his 30 years of hard work on the ‘Book of Kings’, Iranians perhaps would be speaking Arabic today.
