Iranian foundation supporting Inmates through agriculture

A cooperative foundation in northeastern Iran is financially supporting inmates through selling crops of a farmland dedicated to this charity work.

Hami Greenhouse of the Cooperative Foundation of Inmates covers an area of 4 thousand square meters in the central jail of the city of Birjand in northeast Iran.

Some 11,500 green cucumbers of the Shahin species are cultivated in the greenhouse by 15 people and the crop is sold at fruit and vegetable selling centers.
