Speaking to reporters at his weekly press briefing, Jaberi Ansari made the remarks in a response to US claims branding Iran as a sponsor of terrorism.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is a victim of terrorism,” he said, adding that the world recognizes Iran as a forerunner in the fight against terrorism.
In its annual report published recently, the US State Department accused Iran of being a state sponsor of terrorism.
