Terrorists Kill 3 IRGC Forces in Northwest Iran

A terrorist attack on the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps forces killed three servicemen in Iran’s northwestern city of Piranshahr on Tuesday.

The IRGC said in a statement that a vehicle carrying the forces of Hamzeh Sayyid al-Shohada Headquarters was attacked by the terrorists affiliated with the “global arrogance” in the northwestern province of West Azarbaijan on Tuesday evening.

The troops were taking part in a mission when the terrorists attacked their vehicle at the entrance of Piranshahr, the IRGC added, naming the martyrs as Hasel Ahmadi, Sattar Pirooti, and Omid Mollazadeh.

A manhunt is in progress to capture the fugitive assailants, the statement noted.

Last week, two local forces of the IRGC were killed in an exchange of fire with a team of terrorists in the same province.

In that clash, which took place in Chaldoran region, the security forces dismantled the terrorist cell and confiscated a remarkable amount of weapons, equipment, ammunition and communication systems from terrorists.

The IRGC is in charge of border security in Iran’s northwestern and southeastern regions.
