Iranian Women Prepare Gushfil in Ramadan

Gushfil is a traditional sweet pastry often cooked during Ramadan across different cities of Iran. In these photos, women in Arak, Markazi province, prepare these sweets at home for people who have been fasting. The name Gushfil means ‘Elephant Ears,’ due their shape and appearance.
