Iranian Army coordinator: Zionists fired missiles at Iran from distance of 100km from border

Habibollah Sayyari

Sayyari added that during the period, the Iranian armed forces gave the enemies no opportunity to take any action against the Islamic Republic and that no warplane dared to approach the Iranian airspace.

He noted that the Israeli warplanes fired their ballistic missiles at Iran from a distance of 100 kilometers from Iran’s soil.

“The enemies must know that the Iranian people are battle-hardened and are scoffing at the operation of the Zionist regime”, the Iranian admiral said.

Sayyari added that Iran’s missile attacks on Israel code-named True Promise 1 and 2 dealt a huge blow to the enemy while it was a small instance of Iran’s real military might.

He added that Iran is ready to counter threats from the enemies, saying the Iranian armed forces are guarding the country day and night.

According to Sayyari, the enemies of Iran have hatched numerous plots against the nation over the past decades such as their attempt to sow ethno-sectarian strife soon after the victory of the Islamic Revolution but the Iranian people stayed their ground and emerged victorious. Sayyari’s comments come after Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said besides Iraq, the airspace of other countries were given to the Israeli regime by the US to do the attack on Iran.

Some military sites were hit in the assault, killing 4.

Netanyahu plans to delay his son’s wedding amid Hezbollah drone attack: Report

Benjamin Netanyahu

The wedding of Avner Netanyahu is planned for Nov. 26 in the Sharon region, north of Tel Aviv.

Netanyahu fears that holding the wedding as planned could risk the safety of participants and wants to postpone the event, the Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported.

There was no comment from Netanyahu’s office on the report.

On Oct. 19, a Hezbollah drone hit the window of Netanyahu’s bedroom in Caesarea in northern Israel.

Israel has launched a massive air campaign in Lebanon since last month against what it claims are Hezbollah targets in an escalation from a year of cross-border warfare between Israel and the group since the start of Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza.

Over 2,700 people have been killed and nearly 12,500 injured in Israeli offensive since October last year, according to Lebanese health authorities.

Israel expanded the conflict on Oct. 1 this year by launching an incursion into southern Lebanon.

Top diplomat says Israel utilized US-provided flight route over Iraq to attack Iran

Abbas Araghchi

Araghchi told reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday that the presence of the US Air Force in the region is a reality that assisted the Israeli regime in its assault on Iran.

Referring to his visit to regional countries before the Israeli regime’s attack on Iran, the top Iranian diplomat added that Iraqi officials had reassured him that they would not allow others to use their soil and airspace against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He mentioned that Tehran is in contact with Iraqi officials and other states in this regard, adding that they have lodged a protest with the United Nations and other competent organizations as a follow-up.

Araghchi noted that there is currently a unified voice against the Israeli regime’s crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, which has led to a de-escalation of tensions, thanks to the active diplomacy of the Islamic Republic over the past month.

He stated that recent contacts with European countries have opened doors for cooperation regarding regional developments, Ukraine, and the nuclear talks.

Voicing hope for the resumption of nuclear talks, the Iranian foreign minister added that Europe seems reluctant in this regard.

He also slammed the European states’ stance on the execution of the ringleader of a terrorist group in Iran, which was responsible for a bomb blast in the Iranian city of Shiraz, where 14 people were martyred and more than 200 others injured sixteen years ago.

Araghchi affirmed that there is no doubt about the terrorist nature of this group.

The Iranian minister stated that the European states, which claim to advocate human rights, are defending a terrorist in this case, which is unacceptable to us.

Iran’s minister of communications announces iPhone registry issue resolved

Mobile Internet Iran

Hashemi credited the government, the support by President Massoud Pezeshkian, and the active efforts of the ministry of communications for the achievement.

In a message on X, the minister wrote, “The iPhone registry issue has been resolved through the thoughtful actions of the Unity Government, the support of the esteemed president, and the active efforts of the Ministry of Communications. I believe that with expert work, creating unity, and without noise and clamor, other issues related to the cyberspace and people’s demands can also be solved.”

The registry issue had been a significant concern for millions of iPhone users in Iran, affecting the activation and use of new iPhones in the country.

There has been no official explanation on the reason behind the ban, but there are speculations suggesting that the restriction was made out of concerns that the phones can be used to connect to the Starlink satellite internet service and help Iranians bypass the government’s restrictions on accessing the internet. However, experts have refused the argument on technical grounds.

Small number of North Korean soldiers already in Ukraine: Report

North Korean Soldiers

NATO and the Pentagon previously confirmed that North Korean troops were training in Russia and that some of them were on their way to Russia’s Kursk Oblast, part of which Ukrainian forces have controlled since August.

There was no confirmation of the presence of North Korean troops in Ukraine before.

“It seems that a good many of them are already in action,” one of the officials told CNN, referring to the North Koreans.

The first North Korean troops were to be deployed in the combat zone on Oct. 27 or 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky said earlier.

US and South Korean diplomatic and military officials will meet in Washington this week to discuss North Korea’s “expanding relationship with Russia,” said US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

Presidential Office chief Andriy Yermak is also currently in Washington. According to CNN, he met with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and State Secretary Antony Blinken on Oct. 29. Yermak mentioned that he and Sullivan discussed “North Korean soldiers whom Russia is preparing for war”.

How helpful the North Korean military will be to the Russian army on the battlefield is not yet clear. Many of the North Korean troops are special forces, and intelligence assessments suggest that Pyongyang believes its troops have greater combat power than regular Russian troops because they are better trained and specialized, officials told CNN.

The North Korean military has not been involved in a war for over 70 years, and intelligence officials believe the North Korean government sent them there largely so they could gain combat experience.

Officials also expect that at least some of the soldiers will desert their units once they are on the battlefield and that the language barrier with the Russians will be a significant obstacle to smooth operations.

The Russians are teaching North Korean soldiers basic Russian commands in training, such as “fire” and “back to your position”, South Korean lawmakers told reporters on Oct. 29.

North Korea and Russia have strengthened ties since the full-scale war began, including signing a new mutual defense pact. Ukraine and Western governments have previously accused North Korea of providing weapons to Russia – allegations both Pyongyang and Moscow have denied.

Ukrainian military intelligence reported on Oct. 24 that approximately 12,000 North Korean troops, including 500 officers and three generals, were already in Russia and undergoing training at five military bases.

Three Russian soldiers will be assigned to every group of 30 North Korean fighters, Ukraine’s military intelligence agency reported on Oct. 25, citing an intercepted conversation between service members of a Russian brigade in Kursk Oblast.

However, doubts remain in the Russian army about the possibility of carrying this out in practice.

United States National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has been urging China, which maintains relations with North Korea, to put pressure on Pyongyang to withdraw North Korean troops from Ukraine’s front line, CNN has reported, citing a US official.

According to the unnamed official, Sullivan “directed the US government to engage the PRC to organize an effort to get other countries to reach out to the PRC as well over our concerns about DPRK sending troops into Russia and the implications of that” — using PRC to refer to the country’s full name as the People’s Republic of China.

US President Joe Biden has also said Kyiv should strike back at North Korean troops “if they go into Ukraine” during a press conference.

“I am concerned about it, yes,” Biden answered to a question regarding their arrival, adding that Ukraine should strike back if the troops enter into Ukrainian territory, but did not elaborate further.

A Pentagon spokesman noted at a separate briefing that Moscow’s recourse to North Korean troops reflects a “dire situation” of its manpower.

Microsoft says Russian hackers targeting US officials

Microsoft

The warning came exactly a week before the US presidential election, with US intelligence accusing Russia of interference to undermine the Democratic ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

During the campaign, detected by Microsoft on Oct. 22, thousands of emails were sent to more than 100 organizations. According to Microsoft, the goal of the ongoing operation is likely intelligence gathering.

“Based on our investigation of previous Midnight Blizzard spear-phishing campaigns, we assess that the goal of this operation is likely intelligence collection,” Microsoft added.

The hacker group has been linked by the United States and the United Kingdom to Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR). Their activity dates back to 2018, and they usually target governments, diplomatic entities, NGOs, and IT service providers, primarily in the United States and Europe.

Phishing emails use social engineering tactics to manipulate recipients. They exploit emotions like fear, urgency, or curiosity to trick them into revealing sensitive information or clicking on malicious links.

These emails often impersonate trusted entities, such as banks or government agencies, making them appear legitimate and increasing the likelihood of victim response.

Around 12k Palestinian students killed by Israel in Gaza, West Bank: Education Ministry

Gaza War

The ministry, based in Ramallah, published data outlining the scale of violence targeting students and educational institutions across the Palestinian territories.

The report revealed that Gaza alone has witnessed the killing of more than 11,057 school-age students, with more than 16,897 others injured. Among university students, 681 have been reported dead and 1,468 injured.

In the West Bank, 79 school students and 35 university students have been killed, alongside hundreds of injuries and detentions across both groups.

The report also detailed extensive casualties among educational staff in Gaza and the West Bank; a total of 441 teachers and school staff in Gaza have lost their lives, with another 2,491 injured. In the West Bank, two school personnel have been killed, 17 injured, and 139 detained.

The ministry highlighted severe losses among university faculty, with 117 academic staff members in Gaza confirmed dead.

The report further detailed widespread destruction to educational infrastructure, with 406 schools in Gaza, 65 of which are run by UNRWA, suffering various degrees of damage. Of these, 77 schools have been completely destroyed. In the West Bank, 84 schools have sustained damages.

Higher education institutions in Gaza have also suffered immensely as 20 universities reported significant damage, with 51 university buildings entirely demolished and 57 partially destroyed.

The ministry added that 88,000 university students in Gaza and roughly 700,000 school students have been denied access to their institutions.

Israel has launched a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack last year, killing more than 43,000 people, mostly women and children, and injuring over 101,200 others.

The conflict has spread to Lebanon, with Israel launching deadly strikes across the country, which have killed more than 2,790 people and injured over 12,770 others since October last year.

Despite international warnings that the Middle East region was on the brink of a regional war amid Israel’s relentless attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, Tel Aviv expanded the conflict by launching a ground invasion into southern Lebanon on Oct. 1.

Palestine UN envoy warns residents of northern Gaza face imminent execution by Israel

Gaza War

Riyad Mansour was speaking at a session of the UN Security Council focused on the situation in the Middle East.

After addressing the conditions in Gaza, particularly its northern areas, Mansour said “hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are at immediate risk of death and face execution for refusing to leave their lands”.

“Palestinians are besieged and subjected to bombing and starvation. They know that if they leave their areas, they will not be allowed to return,” he added.

The Israeli army has continued a deadly onslaught in northern Gaza since Oct. 5 to allegedly prevent the Palestinian group Hamas from regrouping amid a siege of the area. Palestinians, however, accuse Israel of seeking to occupy the area and forcibly displace its residents.

Mansour emphasized that the Palestinian people “cannot understand how their torturers (the Israelis) continue to receive protection while Palestinian victims are abandoned”.

“As we attempt to end Israel’s impunity, it continues to commit crime after crime, challenging all nations and the UN,” he stressed.

He pointed to “unprecedented attacks against the UN, humanitarian organizations and the media as Israel seeks to intimidate and silence them”.

He noted that “Israel is at war with the UN and has crossed every red line, violated every rule and challenged every prohibition”.

The Israeli army has continued its devastating offensive on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border incursion by Hamas last October, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.

More than 43,060 people have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 101,200 injured, according to local health authorities.

The Israeli onslaught has displaced almost the entire population of the territory amid an ongoing blockade that has led to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.

Defense chief dismisses reports regarding violation of Iran’s airspace by Israeli fighters

Aziz Nasirzadeh

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, and in response to a question about whether the Israeli regime’s fighter jets had entered Iran’s airspace, the defense minister said, “No.”

Brigadier General Nasirzadeh stated that the Israeli regime tried to target both Iran’s defensive and offensive facilities, but to no avail.

He mentioned that the Islamic Republic could swiftly repair the damaged parts of the targeted defense sites.

The Iranian general noted that there has been no disruption in the production of offensive systems, including missiles, in the country.

The military official dismissed the Israeli regime’s claims that Iran’s defensive power has been eliminated as baseless.

The Iranian defense minister stated that under Article 51 of the UN Charter, if any country is subjected to aggression and attack, it has the right to respond. The Islamic Republic will respond to the Israeli regime in accordance with international law.

He added that in responding to the Israeli regime’s aggression, Iran will neither hasten nor delay.

“We will do it with prudence and in due course.”

Iran’s UN envoy voices deep concern about humanitarian crisis in Gaza; says aids halted for 2 weeks

Gaza War

Iravani denounced the recent decision by the Israeli regime to target the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which he called the backbone of all humanitarian responses in Gaza.

“We strongly condemn the recent Israeli legislation to target UNRWA which seeks to block it from delivering critical support,” he said, blaming “Israel’s unchecked impunity” for the regime’s systematic crimes in Gaza.

He highlighted that all humanitarian aid to Gaza has been halted for over two weeks, leaving the northern parts of the blockaded strip under relentless siege.

The Iranian envoy said Palestinians are living in a dire situation, and with the prolonged siege, people are forced to choose between fleeing the Israeli fire or facing the risk of death.

He emphasized that the aggressive actions of the Israeli regime over the past year have inflicted unprecedented damage on civilians in Gaza.

Iravani noted that the collective punishment contravenes the UN Charter and Israel’s legal obligations.

The military onslaught has turned densely populated areas like the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip into active conflict zones, leaving civilians without access to food, water, or medical care, Iravani said.

The Iranian ambassador called on the international community, especially humanitarian organizations, to pay greater attention to the critical situation in Gaza, address the humanitarian crisis immediately, and deliver international humanitarian aid to displaced and needy people.
