Official: Iran to continue research on stable isotopes, nuclear fusion

Ali Norouzi also underlined the necessity to complete the construction of the isotope separation center, enhance cooperation with knowledge-based companies and universities across the country, and revive the National Fusion Center in Iran.

Norouzi stated in the past Iranian year (1403), the Advanced Technologies Company vigorously pursued its activities in two key areas—stable isotope production and nuclear fusion.

He said, “We successfully produced iridium hexafluoride feedstock, which is used to separate Iridium-191. When placed in a reactor, Iridium-191 transforms into Iridium-192, a radiopharmaceutical used to treat head, neck, and breast cancers.”

The CEO of Iran’s Advanced Technologies Company added: “In 1403, we also achieved the production of tellurium dioxide, which is used in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancers. Additionally, we began manufacturing similar products, including Xenon-129, used in lung MRI imaging.”

He further noted: “Last year, we launched the second and final phase of constructing the National Research and Stable Isotope Production Center using gas centrifuge technology. This facility will encompass large-scale enrichment and isotope separation processes. Once completed, Iran will achieve full self-sufficiency in producing stable isotopes, which serve as raw materials for radiopharmaceuticals.”

Norouzi also highlighted the role of Iranian knowledge-based companies in advancing the country’s nuclear progress.

IRGC Navy Commander: Iran Will Pursue Attackers into Gulf of Mexico

Speaking in an interview with Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen TV aboard an Iranian drone carrier warship, Tangsiri addressed a recent message from US President Donald Trump to Iran, stating that he was unaware of its content, firmly declaring that Iran will not engage in any talks with the US regarding its military capabilities.

The IRGC Navy commander warned, “If Iranian ships are attacked, we will undoubtedly respond in kind. If they seize our ships, we will seize theirs. No one can strike us and escape—even if we have to pursue them into the Gulf of Mexico, we will do so.”

Tangsiri revealed that Iran possesses missile-equipped boats and long-range missile systems, whose exact ranges cannot be disclosed. These assets are hidden from enemy sight and are capable of striking all enemy bases, wherever they may be.

The commander reaffirmed Iran’s backing of the Islamic Resistance, stating that from Lebanon to Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq, the resistance stands firm and will not surrender to domination. However, he clarified that resistance groups are not under Iran’s command.

In another part of the interview, Tangsiri stressed the Islamic Republic of Iran extends a message of peace, brotherhood, and friendship to Islamic nations in the region. These countries are sacred and dear to Iran. As a Muslim nation, Iran poses no threat to its neighbors.

Minister: Reducing Iran Oil Exports Pipe Dream

Paknejad stated that all necessary measures have been taken and assured the Iranian people that even under difficult circumstances, the implemented strategies will prevent these threats from being realized.

He described these threats as imaginary, baseless, and a mere fantasy.

Paknejad added that Iran’s Oil Ministry, in the final days of the past Iranian year, successfully launched an oil unit with a capacity of 80,000 barrels per day in the operational zone of the Azadegan joint field in southern Iran. This was done to compensate for part of the natural decline in production from oil fields.

US President Donald Trump, through his so-called “maximum pressure” campaign, has claimed that he will reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero.

In another part of his remarks, Iran’s Oil Minister addressed regional developments, stating: “As a powerful nation and a supporter of the resistance axis in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen, Iran bears a great responsibility and cannot remain indifferent to oppression. Indifference would mean opening our arms to injustice.”

Iran envoy to Iraq: Dissolution of PMU up to Iraqi officials

Mohammad Kazem Ale Sadegh referred to US President Donald Trump’s recent letter to Iran, saying in the letter he said he was ready for talks but he went on to take a threatening posture about the axis of resistance. According to Ale Sadegh, despite Trump’s call for the dissolution of Hashd al-Shaabi, the group is legal and any decision about it is up to the Iraqi government.

The Iranian ambassador to Baghdad said Hashd al-Shaabi played a key role in fighting Daesh terrorists.

Ale Sadegh noted that Iran will not talk with anyone over its missile program and is ready for talks over the nuclear issue only if its rights are guaranteed.

Asked about Iran’s gas exports to Iraq, he noted that the Islamic Republic exports 200 million cubic meters of gas and 500 megawatts of electricity to Iraq daily but the enemy is bent on disrupting ties between the two nations, in an apparent reference to the US pressure on Baghdad to stop energy imports from Iran.

Ale Sadegh further spoke about the resistance in Lebanon and Yemen, rejecting claims that the resistance groups in the two countries have weakened.

He noted that the resistance is alive.
