Ginger: A Miracle in Treating Joint and Muscle PainPerhaps, it has happened, at least once, to all of us to experience a pain in a part of our body – for instance joints and muscles – and fail to identify its cause.

Such [joint and muscle] pains, which, apparently, come without any identifiable cause, normally disappear automatically after one or a few days. Nevertheless, as time passes, the pain begins to gradually grow in intensity and chronicity to the extent that it becomes chronic. At such a point, it definitely is the time to think of finding a cure for it. Joint and muscle pain, almost experienced by all people, are the most common types of such aches. These [joint and muscle] pains may be small or very acute and intolerable. Sometimes, they stop in a few days and on occasions, they last for months and are felt in any part of the body such as neck and back.

Numerous chemical medicines for joint and muscle pain have come on the market, most of which fail to treat the source of the pain and are merely painkillers used to temporarily relieve the pain.

In addition, taking these chemical medicines causes side effects and leads to the patients’ addiction to them, for the same dosage which used to take effect in the beginning of the treatment period loses its impact as time passes and the patient will require to increase the dosage constantly.

Nevertheless, up until two centuries ago, human being used natural methods and medicinal plants to cure pain. Every 30 seconds, a leg is amputated due to diabetes.

If the level of glucose in one’s blood decreases, it can lead to a loss of consciousness, coma, and finally death in a few hours. However, the excessive increase of glucose in human body is more common. The excess glucose in the blood should be rapidly turned to glycogen through the secretion of a hormone called insulin. If a person’s body loses the ability to regulate the amount of blood sugar, that person suffers from diabetes.

In 1985, 30 million people in the world suffered from diabetes. The figure rose to 230 million in 2008. Currently, two people in the world develop diabetes every 10 seconds. Unhealthy diet and incorrect lifestyle have turned diabetes into a serious crisis in the world.

Saudi Arabia Elected to UN Women’s Rights Commission

The election of the Persian Gulf nation to the UN women’s rights commission was first flagged by UN Watch, a nongovernmental body that monitors the United Nations. The Commission on the Status of Women’s main mission is to assess the challenges to reaching gender inequality, according to the UN website.

The organization’s executive director slammed the election, which occurred in a secret vote during the UN’s Economic and Social Council.

“Electing Saudi Arabia to protect women’s rights is like making an arsonist into the town fire chief,” Hillel Neuer said, The Hill reported.

Neuer called the election “absurd,” noting that all women in Saudi Arabia “must have a male guardian who makes all critical decisions on her behalf, controlling a woman’s life from her birth until death. Saudi Arabia also bans women from driving cars.”

Saudi Arabia, a top US ally, is also on the UN Human Rights Council.

Iranian FM Meets Greek PM, Chinese FM in Athens

Zarif met the Greek premier Alexis Tsipras at the Maximus Megaron, the official seat of the prime minister of Greece, in Athens on Sunday evening.

He also met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and conferred on the latest bilateral, regional and international issues.

During the Sunday meeting with Yi, Zarif welcomed China and Greece’s initiative to hold Ancient Civilizations Forum, stressing the need for talks among these states for boosting global cooperation.

“The international community needs dialogue among countries with ancient civilization,” Zarif said, according to a report by Tasnim.

“Talks among countries is very important for boosting cooperation, including in countering terrorism the international community is grappling with,” Zarif added.

The Chinese foreign minister, for his part, pointed to the background of Iran and China’s civilization, saying due to their background, the two countries need to find proper resolution to the existing problems in the human society and the forum in Greece could be a good solution to that end.

Iran Resolved to Boost Its Missile Power: DM

Speaking in a meeting with commanders of security forces in Tehran on Sunday, Dehqan added that Iranians would not tolerate humiliation by world powers or their efforts to impose their own will on the nation.

He said the recent remarks by US officials about Iran’s nuclear activities suggested a new plot was being hatched against the Islamic Republic.

Iran’s defense minister emphasized that such remarks showed that officials in the US were obtaining information from their lackey’s, namely the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), adding that the notorious group has no value in the eyes of the Iranian nation.

Dehqan made the remarks in reaction to recent MKO allegations claiming that the Islamic Republic is violating the historical nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed between Tehran and the P5+1 group of countries, including the US, by secretly conducting research into nuclear weapons components at the Parchin military site in Iran.

The Iranian minister dismissed the terrorist group’s allegations and said it was “very surprising” that US officials were still being misled by MKO terrorists whose main feature was acts of terror and treason.

He said MKO terrorists were spreading lies and fabrications about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, adding that some US officials also took an incorrect and hostile stance on the issue, particularly on the brink of presidential election in Iran.

“On the verge of this major national event, enemies will escalate their efforts to create insecurity,” Dehqan said.

He urged the Iranian officials in charge of safeguarding the country’s security not to allow the enemies to carry out the slightest move to threaten national security.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi also on Saturday warned the US against being misled by the anti-Iran propaganda campaign of the MKO, saying that Washington had suffered every time it had trusted the notorious group.

“The previous US governments have tested this path multiple times and have taken a knock every time,” he said.

Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council – the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia – plus Germany signed the JCPOA on July 14, 2015 and started implementing it on January 16, 2016.

Under the agreement, limits were put on Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for, among other things, the removal of all nuclear-related bans against the Islamic Republic.

The IAEA has on multiple occasions confirmed Iran’s adherence to its commitments under the JCPOA.

The nuclear deal helped nullify the six anti-Iran resolutions passed by the United Nations Security Council under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, and fully closed the case of the so-called possible military dimensions (PMD) to Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran Finalizes Contract with China on Renovation of Heavy Water Reactor

The contract was signed by Iranian and Chinese representatives in the Austrian capital of Vienna.

Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi had announced last week that the 200-page contract contains a lot of details covering different aspects of Tehran-Beijing cooperation in the nuclear project.

According to Salehi, the responsibility to design the reactor in Arak and its equipment lies only with Iran, while China and the US will evaluate the designing plan scientifically once it is over.

“It has been mentioned in the contract that those two countries (China and the US) should certify Iran’s designs as the end,” the Iranian nuclear chief had explained.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (also known as the E3+3) reached a conclusion on the JCPOA in July 2015 and started to implement it in January 2016.

According to the accord, “Iran will redesign and rebuild a modernised heavy water research reactor in Arak, based on an agreed conceptual design, using fuel enriched up to 3.67 %, in a form of an international partnership which will certify the final design.”

In November 2015, the document on redesigning the heavy water reactor was signed by all parties to the JCPOA.
