Directions:

To prepare the cauliflower stew, first chop the onion. Let the oil heat slightly, then add the chopped onion and sauté. Once the onions are soft, add some turmeric and continue to sauté. In the next step, chop the meat and add to the pot.

Sauté the meat and onions till they change colour. Next, add the tomato paste, along with some cinnamon and black pepper, and re-fry the ingredients until the tomato paste becomes crispy. Then add a few glasses of boiled water and put the cap. Gently heat the stew to cook slowly.

Next, you need to prepare the cauliflower. Cut it into the desired pieces. Do not chop into very small pieces because it will crush quickly and ruin the appearance of the stew. Pour a little oil in a pan and sauté the cauliflower.

After the meat is fully cooked, add the cauliflower to the stew with some salt and pepper and allow the stew to slightly cook.

If you want to make your dish a little sour, you can also use a tablespoon of lemon powder.

Another important thing about this stew is that after you add the cauliflower, the stew should not stay on the heat for a long time because the delicate texture of the cauliflower may crumble.

When the stew is ready serve it with bread or rice.

Highlighting the administration’s extensive efforts to eradicate COVID-19 from Iran, the president said, “We give an assurance that we’d do our utmost to ensure the health of people. In an interview with ILNA on Monday, vice president of the Iranian Union of Importers of Medical Equipment said the anti-Iran sanctions and the FATF blacklist have obstructed the import of coronavirus testing kits.

While several foreign companies are ready to ship the COVID-19 diagnostic test kits to Iran, the union is unable to transfer any money, because the sellers insist that the payments should be made only via banks, Ramin Fallah added.

“However, there are ways to bypass (the sanctions), but it takes time,” he noted.

He also explained that the most important medical apparatus in containing the novel coronavirus are the intensive care unit (ICU) equipment, since the most common symptom of the disease is respiratory problem.

Another vital gear for curing the coronavirus is medical ventilator, an adequate number of which is available in the country, he added.

Fallah also noted that he will be travelling to Turkey tomorrow for the purchase of 2 million respiratory masks in cash, saying the shipment will be delivered to Iran by the weekend.

Coronavirus Outbreak in Iran: Death Toll Rises to 12

Has Coronavirus Mutated into New Form in Iran?

A spokesman for the Health Ministry said on Monday that 18 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the country during the past 24 hours, and that increased the total number of confirmed cases to 61.

Kianoush Jahanpour said the new cases include 8 people in Qom, 3 in Tehran, 2 in Rasht, 1 in Hamadan, 2 in Arak, and 2 in Isfahan

Four of the 18 new cases have died, increasing the death toll to 12, he added.

He had earlier noted that three people have fortunately shown improvements and are recovering. That includes a 39-year-old woman who was discharged from Firouzgar Hospital in Tehran after three days of treatment.

Earlier, the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade made new rules to regulate the production of the necessary supplies for combatting the novel coronavirus epidemic in the country.

The Iranian headquarters for combatting coronavirus held a session in the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade on Sunday evening, attended by Industry Minister Reza Rahmani.

According to the decisions made in the meeting, domestic factories producing hygienic and medical products have been obligated to continue the manufacturing process round the clock.

Moreover, the Health Ministry has guaranteed to purchase all of the respiratory masks produced by the local factories.

All grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants across Iran have been ordered to comply with the instructions provided by the Health Ministry.

The health minister has asked people to observe the hygienic regulations, wash hands carefully, refrain from shaking hands and kissing, and avoid crowded places.

The minister also urged the people not to travel to Qom, the city where the first cases of coronavirus were reported in Iran.

Iran has formed a national mobilization plan dubbed “We Will Beat Corona” and has established headquarters across the country.

The health authorities say all public places and means of public transportation are being disinfected on a daily basis amid the coronavirus outbreak.
