Iran, France Finalize Date to Read Black Box of Downed Ukrainian Plane

Iran, France Finalize Date to Read Black Box of Downed Ukrainian Plane

“The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) has done the necessary correspondence with the air accidents investigation and analysis office of France, and agreements have almost been finalized,” said Mohsen Baharvand, the deputy Iranian foreign minister for legal and international affairs.

“If everything goes like this and no unexpected event comes up, the black box will be taken to France by an aviation team from our country, and work to read and extract information from the black box will get underway on July, 20, 2020,” he said.

“A team of experts and technicians from the Islamic Republic of Iran will lead the research work and the reading of the information will be done under the guidance and supervision of the Iranian team,” he added.

“Of course, other countries which are, one way or another, connected to this tragic event can send a representative to France as an observer,” he added.

Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 (PS752) was a scheduled international passenger flight from Tehran to Kiev operated by Ukraine International Airlines (UIA).

On 8 January 2020, the Boeing 737-800 operating the route was shot down shortly after takeoff from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. All 176 passengers and crew were killed. Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) admitted their responsibility for downing the aircraft, saying its air defense units had mistaken the plane for a cruise missile and fired two surface-to-air missiles at it. Iranian president Hassan Rouhani described the accident as an “unforgivable mistake.”

Iran to Develop Artificial Intelligence Start-ups

Iran to Develop Artificial Intelligence Start-ups

According to the website of the vice presidency, one of the plans for the development of this field is to invest five times more to form new artificial intelligence start-ups.

Holding negotiations with three universities is among the other measures taken during the last few years to set up specialised artificial intelligence laboratories at these universities.

Artificial intelligence is a key technology area in any country, and China, Vietnam, Indonesia, the United States, Thailand, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Poland and Italy have grown significantly in this field and have the highest use of this technology, the report said.

The trade volume of this emerging technology is estimated at $16 trillion by 2030 which is a significant number that makes up one-third of the current global market.

This applied technology could affect the lives of most people in the not-too-distant future.

According to global statistics, 47% of all job positions in 2030 will be automated without human presence.

Back in Time: 3 Popular Flip Phones in 2020

Back in Time 3 Popular Flip Phones in 2020

Gone are the days for carrying an mp3 player, a camera, a map, and a calculator. Everything is already jam-packed in the four walls of your LCD screen, all for your comfort and ease. However, we do have a few recommendations for you to grab that nostalgic feeling once more. Back to the simpler times where simply opening your phone can impress, flip phones.

Alcatel Go Flip 3

If you’re a sucker for clean and sleek designs, there’s no better one to go for than the Alcatel Go Flip 3. This phone is probably your go-to choice if you were to go out looking for some flip phones. It has the essentials you can find on a smartphone, with a calendar, emailing, a Google Assistant, Bluetooth, Wifi, a GPS, and even boasting a 4G connection!

Like many of the phones that existed before the battery-consuming screens of smartphones, flip phones still manage to dominate in terms of battery life, brilliantly exhibited by the Go Flip 3. With a 2.8-inch internal screen and a 1.44-inch external screen, you can be sure that this phone will last for more than two weeks on standby!

Alcatel MyFlip

We have another product by Alcatel that isn’t shy of the Go Flip 3. The MyFlip also boasts a 4G LTE connectivity, but this one seems more fitting for the older adults who like less clutter on their screens. The MyFlip still has wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, just like the Go Flip 3! The MyFlip has a quad-core processor with 4GB of ram and up to 32GB for storage.

Akin to the Go Flip 3, this flip phone also has a 2.8-inch main screen with a slightly smaller external screen to display any incoming notifications, be it calls or text messages. With a 2-MP camera and a 1350-mAh battery, there’s no need to worry about losing battery life too quickly.

Easyfone Prime A1

There’s no better phone on the market fit for the more-aged audience. With the classic silver, clam-shell appearance comes a slightly smaller 2.4-inch main screen but with a 1.44-inch external screen. Larger buttons, icons, and text, there’s no doubt that the elderly won’t have any problems when it comes to navigating with the Easyfone Prime A1 flip phone!

This flip phone is probably the more basic out of the bunch, made just for calling and texting, so there’s no need for further confusion with today’s advanced technology. It still has the 2MP camera, but just a flashlight and an FM radio, this time. Fit for those who love simplicity.

Takeaway

There you have it, our list of flip phones that’s a blast from the past! They still have that primary function that phones achieve with calling and texting but in the form of a more basic flip phone. If you’re a huge fan of phones that adhere to very simple designs and technology the I definitely suggest for you to splurge out for one of the flip phones on this list!

Iran Reintroduces COVID-19 Restrictions in Several Provinces

Iran Reintroduces COVID-19 Restrictions in Several Provinces

President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday everyone should observe health protocols in order to control the disease.

He said week-long restrictions could be put in place in cities which reach the “red” state as deemed necessary by the local coronavirus task force.

“As of July 5, 2020, it will be mandatory to wear masks at all places of gathering,” said the president at a meeting of the National Coronavirus Headquarters.

He then praised measures by all sectors in the country to fight coronavirus.

The president noted that no vaccine has been developed for the virus so far, adding the current situation may persist and “we should prepare ourselves for a long-term fight.”

“Let’s not allow the coronavirus outbreak to reach its peak in provinces, and everybody should help because if the disease becomes severe it will put medical personnel under pressure,” he said.

President Rouhani said places of gathering are where there is a risk of COVID-19 spreading.

He also stressed the need to take care of the elderly and those with underlying health conditions to protect them against the disease.

Google Voice for Mobile: What You Need to Know About It

Google Voice for Mobile

The voicemail service, which Google Voice required previously invites code for setup and now available to every Gmail user for free. So here’s what you need to know about google voice.

How to Use Google Voice?

When you register with Google Voice, you will be given a phone number linked to you with different locations and devices, working with VoIP lines, work phones, desk phones, and mobile phones. It will allow you to organize all of your phones with only a number, allowing you to customize what device will notify based on particular callers. While almost each of its features is free, some of its features can only be accessed if you have a paid account.

How Does This Tool Work?

Now that you know how to use Google Voice, we need to tackle what it can do. These are the following features that Google Voice is capable of:

  • Call routing
  • Affordable international calls
  • Voicemail transcripts
  • Setting specific phones to notify depending on who’s the caller
  • Call blocking
  • Conference calling
  • Switching phone while on a call
  • PC-to-PC video and voice call worldwide for free
  • PC-to-phone calls across North America for free
  • Call recording on Google Voice
  • Personalized voicemail greeting for a specific caller

If you want your Google Voice number, you need to decide which of the Google voice setup is perfect for your preference. After determining what type your account should be, proceed to the signup page of Google Voice and follow the steps. You will be notified to organize Google Voice, then choose if you want to use your current number or a new number.

Next, select the PIN for retrieving the messages and use them to access the settings of Google Voice from your device. Then, you will be asked to enter the forwarding number. That number is the device that will notify when a person calls your contact number. Lastly, you have to verify and confirm your phone. Google Voice will send the numerical code and enter it when your forwarding phone is being called by Google Voice to confirm that your phone number is correct.

Is it Free?

When you set up your Google Voice and download it, it’s free, but there are features that you need to spend money to access, like the number porting. Depending on the location that you’re calling, Google Voice will charge you a specific amount when making an international call.

Iran in Photos: Vintage Car Collection of Niavaran Palace

Vintage Car Collection of Niavaran Palace 3

The most beautiful cars on display are two Rolls-Royces dating back to the second Pahlavi era.

Built in an area of about 200 square metres, it is not a specialized car museum, as the managers’ approach has been to protect and introduce the cars by providing a basic knowledge along with a historical narrative.

What follows are ILNA’s photos of the museum:

One Iranian Dies of Coronavirus Every 13 Minutes: Deputy Minister

Iran's COVID-19 Death Toll Hits 20,000

Iraj Harirchi said this is an alarm that shows people should observe the social distancing.
“Fortunately, with the cooperation of the people and the health ministry, we were able to control the disease, but it is not enough. In some provinces, we are facing the severe conditions of the disease, and our provincial and city-wide measures, especially in the high-risk regions, should be taken seriously as much as possible.”

Observing the physical distance of one metre reduces the threat of the virus by 82%, the use of the mask by 85% and the use of eye protection by 78%. These figures are very important and effective in preventing the spread of the disease, underlined Harirchi in a video press conference on Saturday.

“Re-openings are now underway in most countries around the world due to economic reasons. In the current context of economic and social activity, the most important things that reduce the prevalence of the disease are the observance of one-metre distance with others and the use of eye protection and masks.”

Harirchi emphasised that young people, and even children who appear to be healthy or have mild symptoms of corona disease, are an important player in transmitting the disease to others, especially parents and the elderly.

“People under the age of 50 are less likely to develop asymptomatic and undiagnosed disease. Unintentionally and unknowingly, young people can infect those around them which sometimes leads to death and prolonged hospitalisation.”

People who have had COVID-19 before, and people whose antibodies have been tested positive and think they are safe, should still keep a social distance because it is not yet clear from scientific evidence that these people are safe against the corona, he went on to say.
