Some 250,000 Iranians Fully Recover from COVID-19

In a press briefing on Friday, Sima-Sadat Lari said 212 people have also died of the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 15,289.

She confirmed 2,489 new cases of infection with the novel coronavirus, raising the total number of cases to 286,523.

3,653 patients are also in severe conditions of the disease, she added.

Lari noted that 2,278,384 COVID-19 tests have been taken across the country.

As in previous days, she said, the red zones include Mazandaran, Fars, East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Golestan, Kerman, Zanjan, and Ilam provinces.

Iran Calls Harassment of Its Civilian Plane ‘Violation of Int’l Law’

Iran Calls Harassment of Its Civilian Plane ‘Violation of Int’l Law’

“Harassment of a civilian airplane is a violation of the principles of the international law, and can be legally pursued at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council and the International Court of Justice,” Joneidi said on Friday.

She said the behaviour of US jet fighters towards the Mahan Air Flight 1152 was harassment of a passenger plane in a third country’s territory, which is a blatant violation of aviation safety and a breach of the freedom of the air for civilian flights.

Joneidi said the move contradicts the Article 3 and Article 44 of the 1947 Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) as well as the 1971 Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation (known as Montreal Convention).

The explanations provided so far have not been convincing or justifiable, she said, adding that the US government is held accountable for its jet fighters’ behaviour towards the Iranian flight.

In a statement on Thursday, Mousavi said Iran will take necessary political and legal actions once the investigation is completed.

“Meanwhile, Iran’s permanent representative and ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht-Ravanchi has explicitly emphasized to UN Secretary General Antontio Guterres that Iran will hold the US responsible if anything happens to this airplane in its way back,” Mousavi added.

The message has also been conveyed to the Swiss ambassador to Tehran, whose country protects the US interests in Iran, he noted.

Two US fighter jets came close to a Mahan Air passenger plane in Syrian airspace, causing the pilot to quickly change altitude to avoid collision.

A video posted by Iran’s IRIB news agency showed a jet from the window of a plane and blood on the face of a passenger – reportedly as a result from an injury sustained during the sudden altitude change.

IRIB initially reported a single Israeli jet had come near the plane but later quoted the pilot as saying there were two jets which identified themselves as American.

The pilot of the passenger plane contacted the jet pilots to warn them about keeping a safe distance and the jet pilots identified themselves as American, IRIB reported.

The plane later landed in Beirut, safely evacuating its passengers, some of whom were injured.

It immediately took off and returned to Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport without any harassment, media reports say.

How Bitcoin Is Doing During the Pandemic

bitcoin

The virus has crippled stock markets all over the world and has shown how vulnerable fiat currencies can be. This has convinced many to turn to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

What Makes Bitcoin a Safe Currency?

The existence of Bitcoin goes back to 2009 and there are many reasons this cryptocurrency gained worldwide attention. It’s a currency not bound to any authority which means that its users have a lot of freedom in its usage. The fact that it isn’t bound to any authority also gives Bitcoin users a certain level of autonomy and makes their personal and financial information secure. Furthermore, peer-to-peer transactions are provided making transactions faster and cheaper.

Back in the beginning days, Bitcoin was a revolutionary currency set to bring changes to the financial world. During the pandemic, it has proven to be much more than that. Its potential has shown that it might become a financial haven. As mentioned before, the coronavirus affected stock markets all over the world.

The European stock market is one of the many examples. Unfortunately, it faced a sharp decline that was bigger than the one in 2012. Germany’s DAX index was lower by 2.6% and the Pan-European Stoxx 600 index was also down by 2.6%. Recently, the prices of European stocks went up thanks to the EU’s stimulus budget deal but no one knows how long they’ll stay that way.

Because of the pandemic, there has been a surge in the usage of fintech apps. This because Bitcoin allows remote payments something that was thought of as a convenience in the beginning but it turned out to be a necessity during these hard times. This is good news for anyone using a Bitcoin trading app since they’ll be entering a market where the price of the cryptocurrency is rising. Furthermore, these apps use real-time data that helps you make the proper analysis before making an investment decision.

How Is Bitcoin Doing Today?

Unlike the stock markets that have had their fair shares of ups and downs, Bitcoin has been doing pretty good. Statistics show that Bitcoin’s price index has been steadily increasing since the second half of March. In addition to that, recent news show that Bitcoin’s value has risen to $9,500. Time will tell whether this value will hold up but traders are optimistic.

The US OCC has allowed federal banks to provide crypto custody services to clients. This is a good initiative on behalf of the US because crypto investors will be able to keep their digital assets in the same banks they keep checking and savings in.

The federal banks of the US aren’t the only ones with an open mind. UNICEF has also turned to cryptocurrencies in the fight against the pandemic. They have announced that they’ve had several Bitcoin donors in the past few months and are looking to bring a big one on board. The fund known as the CryptoFund has already been provided $100,000 fiat money to help with the development of open-source digital services that will manage the health, education, and economic problems the pandemic has caused.

Since banks and international institutions like UNICEF have turned to Bitcoin in the hopes of tackling the economic crisis then it’s clear that this cryptocurrency will have an important role in the months to come. Of all the facts are taken into consideration then Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might be a significant tool in battling the COVID 19 pandemic and bringing the economy back on track.

Importance of Facebook Live for Business

The term Facebook live has been around for quite some time since it was launched by the company in 2016, it has been seen since then that the users are spending thrice the time to watch live videos than what they used to spend when only recorded videos had to be seen. The daily watch time of live broadcasts has also increased by 400 per cent.

This addition has turned out to be a boon for organisations that look to market their businesses through social networking because Facebook has an algorithm that shows the user live videos before recorded ones. Discussed here, are some more benefits of integrating  Facebook live with the marketing strategies of organisations. During your live session or even on your daily Facebook posts, you can buy facebook comments to increase your engagement.

They encourage engagement

The algorithm that Facebook follows put contents that are highly engaging in front of users enabling your business to achieve further recognition, that is if you can create content that can incite a conversation. Another positive side is that videos tend to have more engagement levels when compared to images or text based content. Also, it has been seen that users comment ten times more on live videos than any other posts! Because of this, live video content can be used to let people see your information first.

They save time

The creation of a live video rather than a recorded video requires much less time and is more effective. Although, of course, it takes some time to record the live content, not much creation and editing is needed for the content. Businesses can use the key appeal of live videos, that it is unfiltered and raw and not mass-produced. This is an important benefit of Facebook live for business. They can use live videos to showcase real time content and engage people, saving them the trouble of giving answers later. Many brands and influencers buy facebook live views to improve the engagement.

They are cost effective

The main object of every organisation is to maintain quality content while not straying off the budget too much, this calls for fast and low priced announcements which can be done through Facebook Live, making it an excellent and cost-effective option for businesses looking to market their services through social networking sites. The best part of live videos is that you don’t need a big crew or expensive equipment, the video will be just as effective even if shot from a handheld mobile phone and only requires one person to record the video. The way live videos are the most cost-effective is that the video is over once you stop recording it and there is no chance to retake or edit the content, this saves you from the tedious job of hiring a professional video editor to edit your content and make it visually attractive to the masses while also attributing a personal touch to your contents.

These are some of the reasons why Facebook live can be used to market your business. They have proved to be effective for numerous companies to date and will surely ensure that your business gains the recognition you seek.

Sardar Azmoun Named Top Goal Scorer of Russian Football League

Sardar Azmoun Named Top Goal Scorer of Russian Football League

Both Azmoun and teammate Artem Dzyuba played 28 games, with both forwards scoring 17 goals, but the Iranian was ahead of the Russian striker by virtue of fewer goals from the penalty spot. Azmoun scored one penalty, whereas Dzyuba scored seven.

In the history of the RPL, Azmoun is the third Zenit player to finish a season as top scorer.
Last month, in a poll conducted by the-afc.com, Azmoun was chosen as Asia’s Greatest Russian Premier League player.

Much was expected of Azmoun when he was snapped up by Rubin Kazan as an 18-year-old, and he has grown to become a superstar of Asian football.

After Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun is the second most expensive Iranian player of all-time. He is both the youngest Iranian to score in a Champions League game, as well as the Iranian record-holder for the most goals scored in UEFA Champions League games, having scored 4 goals in the two seasons he has taken part in the tournament.

Azmoun is now linked to several top European football teams, from AC Milan, Napoli, and Lazio in Italy to Arsenal and West Ham in England.

Iran Says Recent Fires Not Caused by Cyberattack

Spokesman Answers Questions on Cyberattacks on Iran

What follows are the spokesperson’s answers to questions asked by reporters:

Q: Given the claims that have been raised recently in the media, do you confirm that cyberattacks have been launched against Iran?

Mousavi: Thousands of cyberattacks are launched against the country’s infrastructure on a daily basis, which is not anything new. Most of those attacks are repulsed by our defence systems and the “cyber incident response teams” without making any impact. Over the past recent months, a couple of cyberattacks on a broader scale have been also launched against the country’s infrastructure, as with the analysis of the dimensions and the technology used [in the attacks], one can say they have been sponsored or launched by governments. Fortunately, the attackers have not achieved their main objectives in those attacks. Forensic technical and electronic investigations have been conducted by the local experts, and the governments sponsoring and directing the attacks (in some cases the sponsor state) and the groups aiding and abetting the attacks have been identified.

The extent of committing crimes and the activities violating the international regulations -most violations in the latter case are committed by the US government- is a worrying issue for the entire world, and the international community must give an appropriate response to it.

Q: Were the recent acts of sabotage and fires caused by those attacks? Specifically considering the news that the US president has ordered cyberattacks on Iran and a number of others countries.

Mousavi: No, the recent fires have had nothing to do with the cyberattacks. Given Mr. Trump’s order, it would be perfectly natural to say that the US government will be the prime suspect for any cyberattack against Iran hereafter, unless the contrary is proved.

We will put plans on the agenda for international action against such illegal and criminal order and for proving the US government’s liability. Moreover, we preserve the right to legitimate defense and proportional and appropriate response to the aggression and harm against our country in the face of cyber and non-cyber attacks.

Q: Has Iran given any response to the attacks or does it have any intention to do so?

Mousavi: First, let’s make it clear that unofficial assumption of responsibility by the others or the empty bluffs after every single incident in our country reveal their absolute frustration and incapability, because limited fires in the woods, refineries etc. in the summertime is neither peculiar nor something happening this year alone. Thus, what we talk about do not necessarily relate to the incidents in your mind.

Iran preserves the right to take the appropriate and proportional reciprocal action at the appropriate time. We may employ any tool to defend ourselves against the cyberattacks, including the cyberspace or other weaponry. Moreover, we will do our utmost to prove the international responsibility of the country starting or facilitating such attacks, and to make them be accountable for their illegal measures.
