A miniature representation of many of Iran’s historical monuments opened on Sunday in Mashhad in the north-east of the country. It is a fantastic collection of landmark historic buildings and sites, displayed over an area of 20 acres.

The exhibition includes miniature versions of well-known tourist spots, such as Persepolis, Kandovan and Ferdowsi’s mausoleum, as well as recreations of other structures, such as airports, dams and public buildings.
