Romanians Warmly Welcome Exhibition of Iranian Culture, History

The exhibition, which was held last week, put on display old maps and hand-written books on the Persian Gulf held in the Romanian Academy.

The exhibition saw huge crowds of visitors including the Romanian people, diplomats, academic figures and Iranians residing in Bucharest.

Morteza Aboutalebi, the Iranian ambassador to Romania, said in the opening ceremony of the exhibition that the Iranian culture has deep roots in the region’s history.

The ambassador said the name of the Persian Gulf has been mentioned in old maps, showing that it is the region’s real name despite what some Arab countries claim.

“The Persian Gulf is the origin of cultural and local values that have been connected to our region’s identity and life and today, thanks to the legacy, the Persian Gulf has become a symbol of the region’s history and culture,” he said.

The deputy chairman of the Romanian Academy, Rizvan Theodorsko, said in the ceremony that the Romanian people need to know more about Iran, particularly the Persian Gulf.

“It is highly important for the Romanian people to know that Iran’s civilization is one of the most important civilizations in the world and Achaemenid, Parthian and Sassanid and other [Iranian] empires have made major contributions to Europe’s civilization,” he said.

‘US Warns Travel Agencies against Arranging Tours of Iran’

Foreign tourists visiting the city of Isfahan in central Iran

Deputy Ambassador of Malaysia to Iran and some Chinese tour leaders say some US agents have contacted them warning against establishing cooperation with Iran in the tourism area.

“This time the US has blatantly threatened Iran’s tourism industry. Foreign travel agencies are not allowed to take anyone on a tour of Iran, otherwise it would ban them and create legal problems for the tourists who visited Iran when they want to enter the US,” a report by Mehr news agency said.

In a press conference on the sidelines of the International Tourism Exhibition recently held in Tehran, Deputy Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran, Vali Teymouri, said some people from the US embassies in different parts of the world contact the host countries’ travel agencies threatening them with ban over any efforts promoting Iran’s tourism industry.

“The diplomats explicitly say if the agencies run tours of Iran, they will face serious problems,” he noted.

His statements were confirmed by some Chinese travel agencies visiting Iran. They said the US has already warned some leading travel agencies in China against working with Iran.

Rostam Yahya, Malaysian Ambassador to Iran, also said he has received some threatening letters from a number of US missions warning him against any cooperation with the Islamic Republic in the tourism area.

Speaking on the sidelines of a tourism exhibition in Tehran, he said Malaysia’s embassy doesn’t take the letters seriously.

“Iran is our good partner not only in tourism but also in commercial and educational areas,” he said.

Yahya also described the US sanctions on Iran as unilateral, adding Malaysia adopts its diplomacy based on its own national interests.

“Despite the threats, the number of Malaysian tours of Iran has increased over the past weeks,” he said.

Rosewater Has Unbelievable Healing Properties for Eyes

Rosewater Has Unbelievable Healing Properties for Eyes

As a nice flower symbolizing love, rose plays an extraordinary role in keeping our skin fresh, decreasing our stresses and healing any inefficiency in our eyes.

In the daily lives, most of us sit for hours in front of our computers or TV sets, staring at the screen. This, along with air pollution, is highly harmful to our eyes.

Rosewater, however, can be very helpful in protecting our eyes against health problems. Below, you can find some of the healing properties of rosewater for our eyes.

Anti-Bacterial, Disinfection Properties of Rosewater

The anti-bacterial and disinfection properties of rosewater highly contribute to eyes’ health in various ways. It protects our eyes against dust, pollution, inflation and the harms of cosmetics. Pick two cotton balls and soak them in rosewater. Then put them on your eyes for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

Use Rosewater to Remove Eye Fatigue

Wash your eyes with rosewater. It can significantly decrease the fatigue of your eyes after sitting for a long time before the computer or TV set. To this end, mix some drops of rosewater with water and then use the solution to wash your eyes with a cotton ball.

Rosewater as Eye Drop

Rosewater can also be used as a beneficial eye drop. Pour two to three drops of rosewater in each eye while lying on the ground. Then close your eyes for at least 10 minutes. This would relax the eyes while washing them.

Removing Dark Tissues around Eyes

Rosewater is also a good solution for removing the dark tissues created around our eyes. Mix rosewater with some milk and soak a cotton ball in the new solution. Then put the ball on your eyes for ten minutes on a daily basis. Within three to four weeks, you could vividly sense the removal of the dark tissues around your eyes.

Iran Says Visegrad Summit’s Cancellation Heavy Blow to Netanyahu

The move to cancel the Visegrad summit, which had been slated to be held in Quds (Jerusalem), is one of the aftershocks of the recent anti-Iran meeting in Poland’s Warsaw, Baeedinejad said on his Twitter account late on Monday.

“The holding of this meeting at this critical juncture was of great significance to Tel Aviv and its cancellation deals a major blow to Netanyahu’s political situation,” he added in his tweet.

The summit of Central European leaders in Quds was cancelled after Poland withdrew on Monday, accusing Israel’s acting foreign minister, Yisrael Katz, of “racist” and “totally unacceptable” statements.

Leaders of Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, known as the V4, were to meet for two days beginning on Monday.

Poland’s withdrawal came after Katz said on Sunday that Poles “collaborated with the Nazis” and “sucked anti-Semitism with their mothers’ milk”.

They were the latest comments in a diplomatic row that has been escalating since Friday between Poland and the Israeli regime about atrocities that reportedly occurred against the Jews on Polish soil during World War II.

Netanyahu reportedly said during his trip to Poland on Thursday that “Poles cooperated with the Germans” during the Holocaust.

The Israeli prime minister later said he had been misquoted, and that he did not mean all Poles cooperated, just certain ones.

Yemeni Nobel Laureate Amazed by Iran FM’s Behaviour

Tawakkol Karman, a female journalist supporting Yemen’s 2011 revolution who delivered a speech at the conference Sunday, said in a Facebook post this week that she was amazed by Zarif’s reactions after she strongly criticized Iran.

“While talking about destructive foreign interventions in Yemen, I seriously assailed Iran and its negative role in the region, but Mr Zarif who was sitting beside me said ‘we honour you’,” she wrote in a Facebook post this week.

“I mentioned this so you understand the big difference between the thinking and behaviour of Iranians with some Arabs including Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” he said.

This is while Karman has been attacked by Saudi and Emirati users of social media for her comment criticizing the two Arab countries for their invasion of Yemen, which has killed and injured thousands of Yemenis and put the nation on the verge of famine.

Karman, the chairwoman of Women Journalists Without Chains, is a member of Yemen’s al-Islah party, which is close to Muslim Brotherhood.

Karman has repeatedly called for peace talks with Ansarullah and the withdrawal of Saudi forces from this country.

Bernie Sanders Says Will Run for Presidency in 2020

In an email to supporters on Tuesday morning, he announced his decision to run again, casting his candidacy as way to accomplish the mission he started three years ago.

“Together, you and I and our 2016 campaign began the political revolution,” he said. “Now, it is time to complete that revolution and implement the vision that we fought for.”

Sanders, 77, believes he can prevail in a crowded and diverse field that includes several female and minority candidates, then beat Donald Trump, whom he called “the most dangerous president in modern American history”.

Whether he can once again capture grassroots support, and whether the energy of his last campaign will pass to other candidates, will likely be a central factor in determining who Democrats nominate to take on the sitting president.

The progressive policies Sanders helped popularize in 2016 – Medicare-for-All, a $15 an hour federal minimum wage, tuition-free college and demands to combat climate change more aggressively and tax the wealthy at a higher rate – have been broadly embraced in a leftward shift that has reached several presidential candidates.

“Three years ago, during our 2016 campaign, when we brought forth our progressive agenda we were told that our ideas were ‘radical’ and ‘extreme’,” Sanders wrote. “Well, three years have come and gone. And, as result of millions of Americans standing up and fighting back, all of these policies and more are now supported by a majority of Americans.”

No candidate will enter the race with as many advantages as Sanders, who ended the 2016 primary with more than 13m votes and nearly $230m raised, much of it through small donations. He begins his second run for the White House not as a political outsider but as a top-tier candidate with near-universal name recognition, a dedicated following and an unrivalled donor list.

IRGC General Says Saudi ‘Heart of Evil’ in Mideast

Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on Tuesday Saudi Arabia is the “heart of evil” in the region and the Saudi government must know they will not last long.

“The Al Saud must know that it is not lasting and the enemies must know that we will not leave them,” he said.

“Our enemies have fallen into decline and whatever they plan has an opposite effect,” he said.

The General said Iran’s adversaries are now weaker and the chaos in the world of politics has made them unable to solve even small issues.

“Today, the US has lost the game and our enemies are disappointed and you are walking forward defiantly,” he noted.

Speaking in a commemoration ceremony for martyrs of Wednesday’s terror attack near Zahedan in south-eastern Iran, General Salami said the terrorist attack showed enemies of the Iranian nation have adopted a dangerous strategy.

“Fighters of IRGC’s ground forces have stood against the wicked triangle of the US, the Zionist regime and reactionary Arab governments in the region and their job is not easy,” he said.

However, General Salami said, the enemies’ latest plan will also fail and the world is about to witness a major victory for the Muslim society.

Almost all papers today highlighted the remarks made by the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who urged officials to beware of the Europeans’ deceit.

Iranian papers today widely covered the inauguration of the third phase of a gas condensate plant at Persian Gulf Star Refinery in southern Iran, in a ceremony attended by President Hassan Rouhani. The refinery has made Iran self-sufficient in petrol production, and even lets the country export its petrol.

Also a top story was the Iranian security forces’ arrest of some of the terrorists behind the recent attack on IRGC forces in south-eastern Iran.

The visit of a high-ranking Iranian delegation to China – including Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, and Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati – also received great coverage.

Zahedan Suicide Bomber Was Pakistani National: IRGC

Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of the IRGC’s ground forces, made the statement in a ceremony commemorating the martyrs of the attack which hit a bus carrying Iranian border guards in Zahedan-Khash road last Wednesday.

General Pakpour said some other members of the terrorist team, affiliated with the Jaish al-Adl terrorist group, have also been Pakistanis.

“Two members of the terrorist team were Pakistanis,” he said, adding that another Pakistani has been supporting the team from Pakistan.

Three members of the terrorist team were Iranian nationals from Sistan and Baluchestan province, he said.

The IRGC general said two members of the terrorist team have been arrested and another one has fled, but Iranian security forces will soon catch him, he said.

General Pakpour said the terrorist team was well equipped and planned to launch major operations inside Iran.

At least 27 IRGC border guards were martyred and 13 others wounded in one of the deadliest attacks against IRGC personnel in years.

The Pakistan-based Jaish al-Adl, an offshoot of Jundullah which has carried dozens of terror operations inside Iran in recent years, claimed responsibility for the attack.
