Catching Public’s Eyes: Tips on How to Attract Guests to Your Booth

The problem is getting an audience to notice what you have on display because it is not simply showing up to the convention and hoping for the guests to notice your booth. You have to be proactive.

Being proactive is not a simple task. It requires a lot of hard work, but sometimes, you can get help here and there, just like the tips that we are about to share with you.

  1. Have a Stand-Out Booth

For a custom-made show booth, this is not impossible. They are able to convey their message and that alone is eye-catching to the public. However, this is less likely to happen for rented stands such as the professional booths for events in Dubai because rented means generic, more often than not. What you can do is hand out freebies or have contests for the guests and let it be known that a significant prize is waiting for whoever wins the contest.

On the other hand, contests or freebies are not necessary. Sometimes, it just needs a good old-fashioned means of catching the guests’ attention.

  1. Promotional Items

There was a time when handing out pens was the best promotional gifts you can provide guests. Not anymore. Those who attend trade shows are looking for more substantive items that they can use every day. In addition, the quality of the products that you are handing out should be just as good as the products that you are promoting, otherwise, they will think that your products are as bad as the giveaways.

  1. If Not Items, Games

This creates a more lasting impression, especially if all your competition has is brochures and promotional items. Up the antics by coming up with games, quizzes, or polls. This normally attracts positive attention to your booth. However, ensure that it does involve bingos or any card games.

You may even quiz them with questions that are significant to the industry or take a poll and ask them what they think should be improved either with the industry in general, or the products that you have on offer. This can even cultivate loyalty especially if they feel like they are being listened to.

Of course, do not forget to give them rewards if they get your quiz right, or after you poll them.

  1. Your Product on Display

Do not be ashamed to present your products to the public. This is the reason why they are here, and the reason why they hop from one booth to another. If possible, make them experience your product firsthand by allowing a demonstration of sorts where they can use it themselves. This is the true test of your product’s value.

A booth can only do so much, especially when they are just rented. Gimmicks as these may sound, they are the best way to proactively present your brand to the public and the better way of catching their attention.

7 Best Skincare Tips for Everyone

Stem Cells Used to Make Skin Young Again

Many people love to say that the secret to glowing skin is to drink sufficient water – and some may even suggest that you try this cream, or that supplement. However, not everyone has a celebrity-like skin, every skin product doesn’t work on everyone, supplements and creams are not magical elixirs, and drinking excessive water is a great healthy habit, no doubt, but it isn’t a skin saver.

Whether you find acne on your face, on the torso or on the buttocks, it’s always frustrating. Since most people lives now tend to be sedentary, treatment for butt spots has become popular. It’s best to focus on finding natural and organic products that won’t irritate or damage your skin.

What then are the best skincare methodologies out there for everyone? Many people will tell you different stories about how this method or products worked on them or how they did some magic to make their face eczema-free. But, we all know one thing for sure – skincare isn’t a generic process, and what works on A might even worsen the skin condition of Z. However, we’ve compiled a list of some great skincare tips for everyone, you can check out them out below.

Have You Got a Pimple

One of the most common facial challenges many face today is the problem of pimples and acne. It is a common skin infection that affects both old and young. But, a great skincare tip to manage this infection and condition well is to avoid touching your face. Most people do this very frequently and subconsciously, but, what many fail to realize is that, your hands are filled with bacteria most of the time. If you are now popping or touching an already inflamed area, you will only be adding debris to the acne and delaying its disappearance. A quick tip for everyone is to avoid popping a pimple, because when you attempt to squeeze the area, you will only worsen the zit and this isn’t a good skincare habit at all.

Avoid Multiple Products

Many people are quick to jump to a new skin product the moment they feel as though their existing cream isn’t working well anymore. So many others indulge in the habit of mixing products together, with the hope of getting an improved result. Multiple products don’t equal better skin, and in fact, there are certain skincare products that shouldn’t even be mixed together. For instance, exfoliating ingredients like benzoyl peroxide and retinol shouldn’t be used at the same time, because mixture of both will cause skin dryness. A good tip for you to care well for your face and body is to stick with a skin product you are using (try to find the best one for you from the start), so that you don’t experience clogged pores.

Expensive Doesn’t Mean It Is Good

Have you been led to believe that an expensive skincare product is the best skincare product? Well, let me let you in on a little secret. There is no correlation between the price of a product and its results on your skin, and you don’t need to spend $200 on a skincare product for you to get dramatic results. In fact, you can find quality skincare products in the forms of skincare lectures and videos, supplements, cream and preparations at ridiculously cheap prices especially when you visit a site that offers Coupons and discounts. Here you can find a great deal of offers and options available every time. Do not let anyone extort you anymore in the name of getting you the best skincare products, when you can find a wealth of offers here.

SPF Is Vital

One of the most important skincare factors that you’ve got to always consider is the SPF. SPF is known as the sun protection factor, and it is vital because sunscreen is the most important skincare stage. Sunscreen will protect your skin from free radical damage that can cause quick signs of aging and cancer.

Don’t Focus on Face Only

This is one of the most important skincare guides to follow, because many people are guilty of always focusing on the face only – maybe because it is the most obvious part of the body. However, it is important to always focus on the neck, décolletage and other parts of the body too. It wouldn’t be so great to have a superb face with an inflamed neck. There are many products prepared specifically for different areas of the body, so it is important to care for these parts of the skin too, by using any of the specially designed products.

Save Your Skin-Care Routine till Bedtime

According to studies, the skin repairs itself overnight. So, it is best to use some of these skincare products at night. You may apply simple moisturizers in the morning and leave the main routine till night. This is to ensure that your skin takes in as much of the supplied nutrients as possible. Also, the weather conditions are often calmer and less harsh in the evenings, so it is a great time to apply your products.

Apply All Skincare Products in Layers

The best way to care for your skin is to treat it like a bunch of sponge that needs to sap every of the goodies applied. Therefore, always apply your skincare products in layers, from the ones with the thinnest texture to the ones with the thickest texture.

Iran Ultimate Winner of ‘Battle of Wills’: Rouhani

The Iranian president made the remarks on Tuesday in an address to a ceremony to inaugurate a new terminal at the Imam Khomeini International Airport south of Tehran.

“We will not wage war with any nation, those facing us are a group of politicians with little experience,” Rouhani said.

Rouhani noted that ill-wishers have launched a “war of hope and wills” against the Iranian nation, and the enemies are attempting to create despair among the Iranian nation through malicious schemes.

However, he added, Iranians are determined to defeat such plots and keep their hope alive, and “will be the ultimate winner of this war and pressure.”

Rouhani said that “despite all of the Americans’ attempts in the region and their intention to cut off our ties with the entire world and their desire to isolate Iran, they have been unsuccessful.”

He went on to say that the world community praises Iran’s stance in its face-off with America.

“Iran has been loyal to its signature, Iran has been loyal to international agreements, and the one standing against us today is the one that has trampled all pacts, agreements and international accords,” he added, referring to the US’s withdrawal from a 2015 multilateral nuclear deal with Tehran.

I’ll Take Up Arms, Defend Iran If US Attacks: Pro-West Pundit

Sadeq Zibakalam, a professor of political sciences at the University of Tehran, has, in an interview with the Iranian University Students (IUS) news website, weighed in on his own stance towards a possible US invasion of Iran, and the way the Iranian people would react.

Excerpts from the interview follow.

The [Islamic] Establishment should be preserved. This is not what I’m saying only today. I had the same opinion 10 years ago as well. During the presidency of Mr. Khatami (former Iranian president), the University of California was holding a series of conferences. Every other month, I along with a number of reformist friends took part in the conferences as representatives of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Office for Political Studies. This coincided with the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. Before that, the US had attacked the Taliban, and now it was [former Iraqi dictator] Saddam [Hussein]’s turn. At that time, some people said now that the United States has reached Iraq, it should attack Iran as well.

At that time, the key question was whether or not the United States would attack Iran after Afghanistan and Iraq. In the same conference, one of the professors of the University of Tel Aviv presented an article in that regard. The gist of the article was that if the Americans attack Iran, 70 percent of Iranians will welcome that; so, according to him, it was the best chance to strike Iran. In the final hours of the conference, Steve Spiegel, the liberal Jew who had organized the event, came to us and asked if we wanted to respond to those comments. In response to the person who had presented the article, I said suppose not 70 percent, but 90 percent of Iranian people would back a US attack on Iran. Then what are you going to do with the remaining 10 percent, which makes up 6-7 million people?

‘I’m among that 10 percent. If the United States attacks my country, I will no longer spend my time formulating theories; rather, I will take up arms and defend my country against the US!’ I said, ‘You would have to go from city to city and alley to alley to find those 7 million people and kill them. How are you going to do that?’

At least 30 percent of the people, as the main core, are loyal to the Establishment. Even if the economic situation becomes worse than what it is now, these people still will vote in elections and take part in rallies; this is very important. Of course, most Iranians, based on their religious beliefs, seek to preserve the Establishment, and some of them, including Sadeq Zibakalam, approve of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Establishment not necessarily because of their religious beliefs, and are of the conviction that if the Establishment is harmed, the whole Iran will face problems.

Time for Iran and US to Forget Bitter Past

Zibakalam is known in Iran as a staunch supporter of Iran-US talks and normalization of ties between the two sides. He also disagrees with those who chant ‘Death’ to the US and even Israel. A video recently gone viral showing him refusing to put his feet on the flags of the US and Israel at the entrance of an Iranian university.

In a recent op-ed published by Arman-e Emrooz daily, Zibakalam argued that the history has gone past, and it’s time for Iran and the United States to forget the bitter past events and think about the future amid international mediation efforts.

“The specific demand of Iran is to be recognised by the Americans and the issue of regime change be resolved once and for all,” Zibakalam wrote.

“If this fundamental issue is resolved between Iran and the United States, then the problem of hostility with the United States will be practically put aside. There remains a widespread list of issues that have been the subject of disagreement between the two countries. From the role of the Americans in 1953 Iranian coup d’état to sanctions issue today could be named.”

“However, what is certain is that history has gone past, and nothing could be done about 1953 coup, and it’s not possible to deal with the occupation of the US embassy and hostage-taking anymore. All these issues remained in the past, and it’s time for Iran and the United States to forget the bitter past events and think about the future,” underlined Zibalkalam.

This Iranian scholar further pointed out that Iran and the United States need each other to solve regional and international problems.

“Everyone knows that without the cooperation of Iran and America, the issue of the future of Arabs will not be resolved, as Iran-US cooperation in confronting ISIS in Iraq and Syria was influential.”

“Therefore, in many important issues in the Middle East, Iran has a common strategy [with the US]. There is an initial agreement on the demands of Iran and the United States.”

Zibakalam underscored that “If we put aside American hardliners, we know many of Americans recognize the Islamic Republic and, apart from the fatwa of the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, in practice, Tehran has shown through all the IAEA inspections over the past few years that it has complied with all its obligations in the framework of NPT.”

“Therefore, the demands of Iran and the United States have been met to a great deal, and other problems can be solved via negotiation,” he said.

“As we know, there are many differences between China, and the United States, Russia and many of their allies, but these differences do not justify life-long hostility between Beijing and these countries. Therefore, Iran can think of other options, provided that the United States stops its moves against the Iranian nation,” he added.

Could Pakistan’s Cryptocurrency Restrictions Undermine Its Economic Ties with Iran?

As governments and regulatory authorities struggled to keep up with the growth exhibited by altcoins, many of them proceeded to impose bans and restrictions on the industry – including Pakistan. As Iran revisits its position with regard to cryptocurrencies, how is this lack of coordination set to affect economic relations between the two countries?

The Rise of Altcoins

Although cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin were originally devised as a true alternative to fiat currency, directly opposing centralized control and state regulation, the reality is that they did not gain much ground in the real economy.

Instead, cryptocurrency trading has truly boomed, with coins such as Litecoin, Stellar, Ripple and Ether rising to the top alongside Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. Cryptocurrency owners continue to mainly use their coins to trade instead of making transactions and purchasing goods in brick-and-mortar businesses, with some countries also officially allowing and regulating cryptocurrency trading in the forex market. With more and more traders and investors joining in, more altcoins have appeared all over the globe – even national state-backed cryptocurrencies, like Venezuela’s Petro. While several analysts have criticized the volatility of altcoins, ranking them high in terms of risk management and mitigation, the volume of transactions continues to grow.

Pakistan Bans Cryptocurrencies

But other states, like Pakistan and its neighbour India, have refused to greenlight digital coins and have effectively imposed restrictions upon them. In April last year, Pakistan implemented a ban on cryptocurrency trading in the country, which led to trading platforms shutting down – but also an apparent rise in alternative underground channels of dealing in altcoins. This also meant that shady conduct associated with economic crime or even terrorism funding largely went unchecked. Now, Pakistan is set to further build on its tough stance on cryptocurrencies by introducing new rules regulating the market in an effort to battle money laundering and related crimes. This move comes mainly at the behest of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international body charged with monitoring action against economic crime and corruption. Meanwhile, the country’s Securities and Exchange Commission has announced a crackdown against companies suspected of using altcoins for illegal purposes.

Iran Looking to Harness Blockchain

Beyond trading, there is an aspect of the new industry that is of particular interest across industries: the underlying tech powering cryptocurrencies, ranging from Bitcoin’s blockchain to more niche solutions like the zk-SNARK zero-knowledge proofs behind Zcash. This is considered extremely important in Iran, as the country experiments on how to revise its initially negative position towards cryptocurrencies. Amidst economic pressure from the US, long-time global antagonist, Iran has developed its own plans to launch a national cryptocurrency called PayMon. The Central Bank of Iran is also exploring ways to harness blockchain tech in an effort to revamp the country’s banking and financial system through its Borna initiative. Although Iran’s economy is far from dependent on digital coins, in this context, Pakistan’s complete ban on cryptocurrencies could put a strain on economic relations between the two countries.

As Iran continues to foster growth by tapping into the potential of digital currencies, Pakistan’s rumoured softening of its harsh position on altcoins might open up new channels of economic cooperation between the two states.

Meet Iran’s First Official Female Boxer

Khadem, the first ever Iranian woman to contest a proper boxing match, overcame French opponent Anne Chauvin in an amateur meeting earlier in April of this year.

The 24-year-old enjoyed her successful ring outing in France, with this having had to be based abroad because it proved too difficult to fulfill outlined requirements that the bout be refereed judged by women as well. This was in spite of having the blessing of Iranian sporting authorities.

Khadem made her winning amateur outing in her nation’s flag colours, having donned a green vest and red shorts at the fight in the western French town of Royan. She will hope to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Ireland’s Katie Taylor in competing at the top level of the women’s sport, with the undisputed lightweight champion being the favourite in the boxing betting in a potential rematch with Delfine Persoon.

The female fighter could have been forgiven for expecting a huge welcome back in her home country upon returning back there, following on from her impressive performance. But things haven’t gone according to plan at all and much controversy has been involved since the bout.

Hossein Soori was quoted by an Iranian news agency to have said that Khadem was not a member of the nation’s organised athletes for the sport of boxing and that from the federation’s perspective all her activities are just personal.

Khadem later claimed that her trainer Mahyar Monshipour, whom she travelled to the fight with, was at threat of being arrested. He is a French-Iranian former professional boxer who is also a previous world champion and currently serves as an adviser to the French sports minister.

Khadem said after the match that she was fighting in a legally approved match in France, donning shorts and a t-shirt against the typical conventions for Iranian sportswomen.

Nevertheless, this young woman has taken a huge step in paving the way for future female fighters to follow a similar path and continue to break boundaries through boxing.

Iranian Physician Sings to Patients to Make Them Happy

Navid Madinei, a doctor from the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz, began singing a song to his patient when he found out that the patient, who was under treatment at a Tabriz hospital, had no companion.

The video of the doctor and his patient has gone viral on social media.

The doctor says he sings for his patients and treats them like a friend in order to make the situation easier for them.

“The only thing which remains for us in this world is the moments that we are together and give each other kindness,” says the doctor.

“Behrouz, who has just had a heart transplant operation, is very kind. We have made friends with each other and we enjoy each other’s company,” the doctor explains.

“It’s a pity if we don’t spend the short moments of our lives by giving positive energy to one another,” he says.

“I wish all people would try to make each other happy,” the doctor says.

Now, social media users have reacted to the story and expressed gratitude to this young physician.

“This gentleman has realized what humanity means. This gentleman deserves praise,” writes one social media user.

“Aside from all the sad news [we receive], this was the best news that made us happy. I wish this kind and loveable doctor ever-increasing success,” writes another user.

“One can be kind as simple as this,” writes another one.

“This doctor has realized how difficult it is to be lonely, especially for a patient suffering from a heart disease,” writes another user.

Netanyahu Has Lost Courage to Comment on Iran-US Row: Analyst

“Why has Netanyahu kept silent these days and has bitten his tongue, while he always pioneered in threats to annihilate Iran? Is it for the missiles fired at Israel from the North, South and East? What happened to the ‘Iron Dome’? How was the myth of Patriot defense system shattered in confrontation against the Yemenis’ cruise missiles fired from Sa’adah mountains?” Atwan wrote on Sunday.

“In light of heightened tensions between Iran and the US in the region, Benjamin Netanyahu’s silence indicates the difficult situation that the regime has been entangled in, which has also decreased the regime’s regional role as the supporter of certain Arab states; the silence also reflects the regime’s fear as it is aware that it will be one of the main targets of any retaliatory military response by Iran or its allies, including Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad,” he added.

Atwan pointed to the recent missile attacks by Yemen against the Saudi airport, and wrote that it had a message to Israel that Tel Aviv airport will be targeted in any future attack by Hezbollah or Hamas.

“Netanyahu who is at present the caretaker of Israeli defense ministry too does not dare to open his mouth these days and raise threats – which is one of his skills – because he knows the type of retaliatory responses waiting for him,” he underlined.

Yemen’s armed forces carried out retaliatory drone attacks on an airport in Southwestern Saudi Arabia for the second time in a week.

Yemeni Qasif-2K drones targeted the airport in the Saudi province of Asir in the early hours of Friday morning, two days after a cruise missile attack by army troopers and allied fighters from Popular Committees at the strategic Saudi facility.

A Saudi-led coalition spokesman said in a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency that the country’s air missile defense systems had intercepted five Yemeni drones over the Saudi airport on Friday morning.

On Wednesday, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that US-built surface-to-air missile systems stationed at Abha airport could not intercept the cruise missile, which he said had hit the designated target with great precision.

He noted that the missile hit the observation tower in the airport, which is about 200 kilometers North of the border with Yemen and serves domestic and regional routes, causing significant disruption to air travel.

Saree pointed out that the missile attack on Abha airport was part of retaliatory measures by Yemeni soldiers and their allies in the face of the Saudi-led coalition’s crimes against Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia also confirmed the Wednesday attack, with Coalition Spokesman Turki al-Maliki saying in a statement that a Yemeni missile had hit the airport’s arrivals hall, injuring 26 people and causing material damage.
